New Digs for Paris -- Not a Dingbat Cave

She hasn't returned to the lap of luxury just yet, but with her transfer out of Twin Towers Correctional Facility last night, Paris Hilton's life just got a little less nuts.
Paris Hilton composited with prison hospital
Instead of sharing a building with close to 200 dingbats in a place nicknamed "The Dings," Hilton will enjoy the comforts of a private room in the medical clinic of Lynwood's Century Regional Detention Facility -- a wing that only holds 15 beds.

Hilton's new 12' x 8' pad is an upgrade from the mad scene over at Twin Towers, which has 196 beds on three floors -- many of which are occupied by crazy inmates.

According to Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore, the Lynwood clinic is commonly referred to as a "step-down unit -- where female inmates are often transferred after their medical conditions have begun to stabilize."

Paris is expected to remain in the medical ward until the medical staff decide she's stable, allowing her to be moved back to her old cell in the VIP section of the jail -- the same cell where she was reportedly melting down and on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

16. Oh for goodness sake, more special freakin' treatment. This is positively ridiculous! She should be stabilized on whatever meds she's on now, since it's been nearly a week. Put her back in the cell already!

17. This is really a joke.

Talk about preferential treatment.

First, although the prison officials constantly talk about "overcrowding" Paris was placed ALONE in a cell. She did not have to share with anyone. Why not?

Then she was released to home detention.

Then she was placed in a hospital facility.

Now she goes back to her original prison but not to a cell. Instead she is going to be put into a PRIVATE hospital room. With a comfortable mattress and pillows. And space. And be attended to.

Now Paris will be back to having, in effect, "servants" even though they are medical personnel flitting around her. Are you all right Paris? What can we get you, Paris? Your visitors (who did not have to wait in any lines, of course) are here now, Paris? Sleep well and be sure to buzz us if you need anything.

What a joke!

And all of this because of Sheriff Baca. How much more is all this preferential treatment costing the taxpayers, Baca. I think it should come out of his salary.

18. TMZ-- get a life!!! You've overdone the Paris thing about a zillion times.

19. Harry Levin and TMZ needs to knock off the blow by blow Paris trash and let her serve her sentence. You guys are losing a lot of people coming here by doing this. I saw Levin on TV last week and now cannot stand him because of the Paris statements that he made as he sounded like a complete noodle. He was giving legal advice and acting like he was on the Hilton payroll.

What is going on at TMZ. You are making fools of yourselves...

20. After being in the dings, she will probably feel that her old cell is like a suite at one of the Hilton hotels!

24. She's not hot.. she's kinda ugly and so is her shallow life. And the way she talks is like a little robot. Not her fault though.. the media & those of us who take time to write these silly remarks!

26. First of all, making fun of people with mental illness is about as low as you can go--"crazies" and "dingbats"??? Do you know nothing about brain chemistry????? Many of those women CANNOT HELP THAT THEY HAVE SUCH PROBLEMS.

TMZ, your writers are becoming more and more ignorant, and demonstrating their lack of education!!!!!

SECONDLY, ISN'T YOUR PRECIOUS PARIS PLAYING THE MENTAL ILLNESS CARD HERSELF?? You are, in essence, insulting her--or, more accurately, her team--and their ploy at getting her special treatment.

27. "Pretty Girl"--

Your comment above proves just how little you know about the people that post comments here. As for calling people "trash"--don't you realize that the true heiresses, the ones with actual class, think of Paris herself as "trash"? The women from good families who are educated, hardworking, have manners, and are not racists don't want to even be associated with her.

Oh, and FYI, people don't want Paris back in NYC--your side of the country can keep her.

28. This isn't an actual picture of where she was is it?The outside of the building looked rather new,and this looks like an outdated horror movie mental ward.Anybody been there?

29. Enough is enough with this. She shouldn't even be in prison at this point for her infraction. This is sick and really speaks more about the people supporting this witch hunt against Paris Hilton. The legal system was not blind with Paris Hilton. It decided to use it as a platform to make a political statement. As Martin Luther King said, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, because when the law is not applied evenly and blindly, it can be politically used against anyone (Duke lacrosse players). Also, there is a racial element being played by the African-American community that are celebrating OJ Simpson beating the wrap while Paris Hilton wasn't so lucky. People on all sides want to see this woman suffer for no other reason than being priviliged in society and being perceived as someone who rubs it in people's faces. There is an ugly mob element to this whole thing. I haven't the least bit of interest in Paris Hilton typically, but in this case, she is being made an example of as opposed to having a sentence applied in the same manner as others in her legal situation. I think people ought to check themselves in this. Paris Hilton has a right to live any way she wants to as long as she is not breaking the law. She does not have to be a nice person (we live in America). The result might be that she is unpopular, but she should not be made a target of abuse by the legal system to play into the popular outcry against Paris Hilton. Very few people have had the intellectual honesty to come forward and say what is going on here, nothing more than a witch hunt, and I'm glad those forces don't drive me in life.

30. Ha..LMAO It's funny how people were complaining for them to change her from the medical place to lynwood so she could go back to her cell, and she's now going to be in a better place.Ha..Ha.. I bet all the haters are burning mad..LMAO

I'm so glad Paris is not going to be in her old cell, she dint deserve that. All this was a injustice & I hope she stays in that prvt room until she goes home. Paris I wish you all the best!!!
