Celebrity Justice
Paris Is a Mess

A law enforcement source connected with the Lynwood Jail tells TMZ, "To describe Paris as emotionally upset would be an understatement."

TMZ has confirmed she's in the medical wing at the jail and is being "evaluated." We're told Sheriff's officials believed she was stable enough, and that's why she was transferred. But our source is doubtful and says she "will not be able to handle" the cell she was in before. We're told the root of the problem is severe panic attacks.

That source and someone connected with Paris' family tells TMZ they are convinced she'll be back at Twin Towers in a few days because she will deteriorate again.

92. maybe this was good for her. she needs to sober up and take a good look at her life. she has money but she isn't happy. maybe she should think about the people she could have killed while driving drunk.anyone else would have been put in jail way before this. but money can buy you out of anything i guess.

93. Frankly I would be having panic attacks too if I was in a jail cell. But hey I don't flaunt the law. If my driver's license was suspended, I would not be out driving. Unfortunately I am not rich or a heiress to a billion dollar fortune so I'm not in a position to flaunt anything. And in Paris's case, blame the parents for how they raised their children.

94. Maybe she does have a drug addiction problem. Her other friends have been in rehab. Maybe its time for her to get treatment too. Others who go to jail are also upset. Thats part of getting their attention to work toward change. Parents want to believe their children who say, "NO, I AM NOT ADDICTED." The problem is, those who are addicted are also very good liars. We have to recognize the systems. In my opinion, Paris is serving the amount of time for the initial offenses as well as continuing to be a problem she is creating within the justice system (mom and dad probably had the clout to influence the Sherriff so maybe they should be held responsible for costing the county a trememdous amount of money and have to re-imburse the county). Maybe, she will get out soon and have learned from it. However, if she really has a drug problem she will need to get further treatment and get clean and sober.

95. I do feel sorry that this woman is getting a stronger sentence the national average as Harvey Levin, Jackie Collins and Barbara Walters are reporting. HOWEVER, I think she is getting the sentence not because she is Paris Hilton; because she is Paris Hilton who made excuse after excuse regarding her crime and disrespected the court and the judge. She has since publicly admitted she was “playing dumb” which the judge already knew when she tried to pretend she didn’t know she shouldn’t be driving. I think she would have got the 4 day served sentence and no one would have complained if she had from the beginning taken her sentence quietly. But she made sure everyone knew either through her own words or through family members what she thought of this judge and the law. Then you compound this with a late night transfer to house arrest, her mother’s attitude in the press and suddenly the world thinks as usually Miss Hilton is getting celebrity treatment. Now it is almost impossible for the court or DA to do compromise without looking weak.

Here’s my question: Why not appeal? She is this emotional basket case but she never appeals. WHY? Is there more that might come out in an appeal process that she doesn’t made public? I don’t get it. If I thought I was unfairly being prosecuted I would appeal. I would have appealed when the sentence was given and I would be appealing now. My first perception was that the “fix was in” and that was why no appeal. But now, I am more inclined to believe that she hiding something.

97. It seems to me that she has served enough time to satisfy the courts, if she were anyone else she would be free by now. I guess the rest of her sentence is just because she IS Paris Hilton. I do hope she learns something from all this, she has inspired so much hatred and so many people are enjoying her misery. It's like sharks in a feeding frenzy. It says much more about our society than it does Paris Hilton. Send the kid home already!

98. Some of you think she's being unfairly treated but I disagree. She was given chance after chance after chance with probation and repeatedly blew it, thinking she was above it all. Finally, somebody had to lay down the law. Being in jail is a punishment. It shouldn't be all fluffy & white with little doggies and cell phones.

Take the benzos they give you and ride it out. Welcome to the real world.

100. You Paris supporters need to explain to the rest of us why she didn't hire a driver or take a cab after her initial conviction. Until you do we have no evidence she won't get and drive drunk again. But then maybe you want her to kill someone.

101. hmmmmm - where is your logic? They are not panic attacks but a front to "get out of jail" early as well as draw sympathy from idoits like yourself. She's detoxing you moron and can't handle it. She is a rich spoiled little drug addict.

102. She or her parents should SUE the hell of LA County for contributing to her mental stress - LA County Jail System
is using her as a pingpong - out of jail/back in jail/ , etc.etc. Total Idiots LA System. No matter what, panic attacks are horrible and being confined and being made a scapegoat is not helping.

Looks like a lawsuit to me.
