Paris Hauled Back to Lynwood Jail

TMZ has confirmed that Paris Hilton was shipped back to the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood last night -- the same jail where she allegedly teetered on the verge of a mental breakdown. Authorities decided she was OK to leave the medical ward at Twin Towers jail in downtown Los Angeles.

Sources tell TMZ that Hilton has been doing much better with the proper meds, and we're told that there has been pressure on the Sheriff's Department to move her back to the Lynwood jail when the medical facility was no longer necessary. We're told that now Hilton has been deemed "medically stable."

What remains to be seen is if the medicines Hilton was taking will continue to be properly administered .

A rep for the L.A. County Sheriff tells TMZ that Paris was taken from the correctional treatment center at Twin Towers "late last night" and was transported back to Lynwood. The last time she did time at Lynwood, she was in a solitary cell in a special needs unit.

Paris Hilton's spoiled life: Click to launch photosThe Sheriff's Department has scheduled a press conference for 8:00 AM PDT. TMZ has learned that the news conference at 8:00 AM will last all of 30 seconds and won't address any further issues.

UPDATE: A Sheriff's rep tells TMZ that Paris will be in the medical clinic at Lynwood until they are sure she will remain medically stable. After that, Paris will move to the same cell she was in before she left the facility.

UPDATE:
We're told that Hilton was transferred last night around 11:00 PM.

16. Who gives a crap? What sort of punishment would it be if Paris Hilton went back to a mansion? Besides that...........theres still 20 percent that did their time like her. Not for nothing but this girl hasnt really done too much time yet. Shes been given special treatment up until this point so boohoo. I seriously wish people would stop trying to make this girl more famous and let her fade into the shadows the way whores, thieves and thugs do

17. I, BABBS am just standing up for justice. I know Paris has done wrong and yes she should do the time. BUT what most people aren't getting thru their thick heads is the fact that she has already served her time under LA County circumstances. Everyone else only does 10% for that type of offense.

The Judge put restrictions on Paris nobody else would get. Where were the restrictions on Michelle Rodriquez when she violated probation and got 60 days?

Sheriff Baca has a hard time dealing with overcrowding, understaffing and underbudget restrictions. Once a person is released into his custody he is the be all end all as to what happens to that person. And he felt it necessary to release Paris with electronic monitoring.

The City Prosecutors don't file motions with the Judge for anyone else. Where were the motions when Michelle Rodriquez was out within hours on a 60 day sentence?

Sheriff Baca should send home 50 women with one of them being Paris! The judge doesn't want electronic monitoring so send her home a free woman!

Paris isn't being treated like anyone and everyone in LA County!!!!

18. They aren't going to let her go any sooner than the the full 23 days. The sherif is already under a recall. jessie jackson and sharpton are already there. They let her go and the screaming starts. Her PR people wouldn't want her out because of all the bad press. She is there eating cheerios and stuck in the cell until the 23 days are up.

Sucks to be her but that's what happens when you violate the rules 2x (driving) and not taking the alchol classes. 3 violations and your in jail...next time read the documents yourself and not be such a dimwhit.

20. Wow, my uncle had the smae charges as Paris Hilton, we all cried when he went to jail. Guess what, he was released due to over crowding and how LESS severe his charges are in 6 days. He was senetenced 42. Now we see who is getting the fair treatment. Not fair for Paris, if she weren't a celebrity, she'd be fine and out. But no, all of you got to make fricken big deals, get over yourself, I don't care if you don't like her...I do, I like all the Hilton's. They are just great. So everyone grow up, and if you say why is everyone making a big deal out of this out of Paris going to jail she deserves it and you don't care, well guess what, THEN WHY ARE YOU ON THIS SITE?!?!? FREE PARIS

22. Drunk driving is a TERRIBLE CRIME that kills thousands of people each year. If we as a society treated it as attempted murder and all drunk drivers received a harsh sentence on the first offence, we could make drunk driving deaths a thing of the past. Zero tolerance for drunk driving and there would be 17,000 less deaths per years. Each drunk driving death is totally (i.e. 100%) avoidable.

23. re Msg 11, I approve of the Judges reaction, just that you could cram some drug dealers, illegal aliens, etc. in there. The point has been made, Paris has been treated better than others doing the crime, and then again, worse than others. Celebrity justice is a double edge sword because that was extra punishment to be let out and have to go back.

Again, there has to be better use of that cell in such a liberal city.

HARVEY IS UP HER ASS!!!

25. You need to get your facts straight--"Peace for Paris". Her type of crime ,as you state it,
was not just driving with a suspended drivers license. She had a DUI, which is a serious
crime and you are insulting and hurting the victims of drunk drivers. Her last stop of
driving recklessly --70mph with her headlights off (she has had 4 reckless driving in the
past year and a half or two years) could have killed her someone else. She is lucky this
is all the time she is serving. Wake up and smell the coffee of consequences and responsibility PLEASE.

26. Okay.....so I heard this announcement on Fox News early t his morning....what took you so long, TMZ?????? And again, she did not have just one violation....why can't people remember that???? She had three chances...didn't do what she was supposed to do....only paid the fine...nothing else...and then on top of everything else,,,,showed up late to court......anywhere else--she'd be in jail.....forget Rodriguez and the other one from Lost....Paris was on probation....could have been in jail but was excused (probation).....I'm so sick of hearing this crap......she got special treatment all the way around....and as for saying she didn't do anything, kill anyone, etc.....what if your child was crossing or walking in front of her car the night she was picked up, driving under the influence, with no lights on? Would it still be, "But she didn't do anything wrong?" Let her finish her sentence and let's get on with the important things...

27. Do you people realize, that once the initial shock wore off Paris, this is probably a novelty for her. So far, she has had her own room, play ping-pong, read, and have visitors. This is not much of a punishment, just very, very, different from her lifestyle.

So now she goes back to regular jail. She will still have her own cell, and not much will change.

I personally dont think the judge should have singled her out to make an example of, but I do feel she should have done some time. Maybe less time, but harsher conditions. Conditions that she would never want to see again. She is doing more time, but getting treated with kid-gloves.

She will be out in about 8-days, and go back to her life of luxury, and probably make more money. Her memories of jail will be unpleasant, but not what it should have been.

29. You people that defend Paris Hilton evidently havent seen the racial slurs, the coke snorting, potsmoking, whoring, narcasistic, vapid egotistical crotch showing vicious mean spirited videos and pictures of Paris that I have. Shes just a horrid nasty person. She has no respect for the law and she has no respect for you. Maybe her attitude is what has kept her in "jail" as long as a smaller percentage of people have served there. Her dissing the judge by being late. By not taking responsibility for what she did from the get go, blaming others for what she did. Her sense of entitlement. She has craved special treatment and to be given more in life........well then good if thats what she is now getting. I seriously think anyone that is defending this girl needs their head examined. She is the epitamy of what is wrong with this country. Stop rewarding bad behavior or the next time shes gonna kill someone you love

30. I belong to an online bereaved parents group, having lost my daughter to suicide. Last night we had another mom come in who has just lost her son to a drunk driver. This is not a joke, folks. Ms. Hilton is getting what she deserves!!!!!
