Thousands Tell County -- What's the Deal with Paris?

A TMZ user fired off an e-mail to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, complaining re: Paris, "Money talks, regular folks stay locked up." Here's the response he got from the Sups:
LA County Seal, Paris Hilton
"Thank you for your note regarding Paris Hilton. We have received thousands of e-mails from members of the public on this matter. Please know that the Board of Supervisors shares your concerns and has asked Sheriff Lee Baca to make a public report next Tuesday, June 19. The Sheriff has been asked to provide the reasons for the premature release of Paris Hilton from the Sheriff's Century Regional Detention Facility, including the reasons for not placing her in an appropriate medical facility such as the jail ward of the LAC+USC Medical Center. As you may know, the Sheriff is an elected official, so the Board of Supervisors has limited authority over that department."

35. Hey! All of a sudden the Paris apologists are all over the TMZ site. Just average citizens voicing their opinions or are there some "ringers" in our midst? Come on now!

37. I'm appalled by the mob rule atmosphere surrounding the imprisonment of Paris Hilton. Every time, someone yells "privilege" she gets punished more. The LA Times has already shown that her punishment is more severe than 80% of those with similar violations. The LA Times also reported that the wife of County Prosecutor Rocky Delgadillo committed the same crime--driving on a suspended license--and only received a 186 dollar fine. I hope someone investigates that incident of privilege. Justice by mob rule is the worst violation of human rights. If Paris Hilton had been treated just like any other person, she would have been free over a week ago. Instead, any time a TV commentator says something or an administrator in the LA penal system gets a batch of emails, she is punished more harshly. The so-called criminal justice system, the prosecutors, the judge, the prison administrators, and the blood-thirsty media and TV viewers should all be ashamed.
