Anna Nicole Smith Dead; Murder City USA: 24 Hours in New Orleans;

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN ANCHOR: We're in New Orleans tonight; sadly, not for a progress report, but for a reality check for a city that is now the murder capital of America. That story is coming up.
But first, the sudden death of a troubled celebrity, Anna Nicole Smith. The former "Playboy" playmate was found unconscious in a Florida hotel room. Efforts to revive her failed. She achieved fame with her looks, of course. She was also in and out of court. And she suffered tragedy, including the recent loss of her son. Today her turbulent life came to a mysterious end.

More now from CNN's John Zarrella.

JOHN ZARRELLA, CNN MIAMI BUREAU CHIEF (voice-over): It began at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida. Anna Nicole Smith was found unconscious in her hotel room this afternoon by her private nurse. A bodyguard tried to save her.

CHARLIE TIGER, SEMINOLE, FLORIDA, POLICE CHIEF: At 1:45, a bodyguard administered CPR to her.

ZARRELLA: Nine-one-one was called. Police were there within minutes.

TIGER: At approximately 1:45 p.m. today, the Seminole Police Department responded to the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel in reference to a person needing medical assistance.

The person, later identified as Anna Nicole Smith, was transported by paramedics and transported to Hollywood -- was treated by paramedics and transported to the Hollywood Memorial Hospital.

ZARRELLA: Monica Alvarado was at the hospital when the ambulance arrived.

MONICA ALVARADO, EYEWITNESS: We just came out to get fresh air. And we seen a whole bunch of cops and an ambulance. And a friend of ours tells us that that was Anna Nicole in there.

They just moved everybody back. They didn't want nobody there. So, we got pushed back.

ZARRELLA (on camera): So, you couldn't tell whether they were still trying to work on her or anything? ALVARADO: They told her she was dead upon arrival.

ZARRELLA (voice-over): A tragic end to a woman who saw more than her share of tragedy.

Her son Daniel died this past September from a deadly combination of antidepressants and methadone while in the Bahamas. A doctor hired by Anna Nicole said it was accidental. Authorities there say there will be a formal inquiry into his death in March.

But Anna Nicole Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, told Nancy Grace on "Headline News" that she believes it was not an accident.

VIRGIE ARTHUR, ANNA NICOLE SMITH'S MOTHER: I just know that Danny didn't kill himself. He did not overdose himself.

ZARRELLA: And, at the time, she had a warning for the daughter she called Vickie Lynn.

ARTHUR: Vickie Lynn, you know I love you. Always have. And be very careful about who you hang around with, because you may be next.

ZARRELLA: No one knows yet how Anna Nicole Smith died. There will be an autopsy Friday. But, for now, her family takes some solace in the idea of mother and son reuniting.

"There is no doubt that her son loved her," they said in a statement. "They lived out of each other's pockets while he was alive. And now they can finally be together again in heaven."

COOPER: John, there's so many sort of legal battles now pending about this. We understand there's going to be an emergency hearing tomorrow about who is going to get access to this child. Do we know where the child is?

ZARRELLA (on camera): No, we don't. What we do know is that apparently the child was not at the Hard Rock Casino with Anna Nicole and Howard K. Stern, who apparently was here as well. Although, we have not seen him at all. But the child was not at the hotel. Do not know if the child was even in the state of Florida.

But, yes, we do hear there might be some paternity emergency hearing tomorrow and also we understand perhaps tomorrow there may be some DNA sampling done of Anna Nicole Smith either before or after the autopsy. But that's all we know about that at this point -- Anderson.

COOPER: All right. John Zarrella, thanks for that.

Michael Scott was Anna Nicole Smith's attorney in the Bahamas. He was also the lawyer for the estate of her son, Daniel. Scott ended up suing Smith and is still suing Smith's estate now for unpaid legal fees. I spoke to him earlier.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

COOPER: Mr. Scott, let's start with you. Your initial thought upon hearing of Anna Nicole Smith's death?

MICHAEL SCOTT, FORMER ATTORNEY FOR ANNA NICOLE SMITH (on the phone): Yes, it was -- actually, I was actually shocked. I was moving in between appointments and clients and it was drawn to my attention by one of my secretaries who was watching CNN, breaking news, actually.

COOPER: How did you first come to be involved with her?

SCOTT: That was back in July of last year. I was initially in connection with her move to the Bahamas. I and my firm gave certain advices.

After that, I became involved as a result of the death of her son, Daniel, and issues arising out of that, and the investigation and referencing her and protecting her interest in the matter of the estate of her son until I basically resigned.

COOPER: Why do you think she wanted to move to the Bahamas?

SCOTT: Well, I think she wanted to move to the Bahamas to avoid what's happening now, what has happened in the last couple of months, the legal proceedings in California relating to the paternity of her child.

COOPER: Obviously when you became involved with her after the death of her son, Daniel, she was obviously extremely upset. That must have been an extraordinary time to be part of her circle.

SCOTT: It was extraordinary. It was. In a small jurisdiction like the Bahamas, she dominated the headlines and dominated the headlines from the time she arrived. And living in the Bahamas is sometimes like living in a fish bowl. And of course, it was all over the press, all over the media, the local media and of course we had the invasion of the foreign media.

So yes, it was -- my life was a bit topsy-turvy and insane, actually.

COOPER: And then did she not pay you along the way? I, because I mean I read articles in which ultimately your firm has had to seek legal action against her in order to try to get unpaid bills. Was there ever a time when she was paying as it went or was she always avoiding payment?

SCOTT: We were engaged. We were given certain undertakings and those undertakings were dishonored. And I was forced to sue for the fees.

COOPER: Have you been able to recoup any of the fees? I think I read it was $113,000 in unpaid fees.

SCOTT: Correct. Not yet.

COOPER: Are there assets there that you can seize or that you would be able to get payment from?

SCOTT: I have no idea the extent of her assets. My impression was she had this predilection towards evading her contractual and other obligations, at least financially.

COOPER: You don't think she really ever had much of an intention to pay at all, unless she was forced?

SCOTT: No, of course not, unless she was forced to pay.

COOPER: And what happens now? I mean, can you seek judgment against her estate?

SCOTT: Well, there will be a judgment against her. Of course, that judgment will survive her demise and it will have to be dealt with by whoever administers her estate, which is another legal mine field.

COOPER: As you look back on this entire episode in your life, what goes through your mind?

SCOTT: Anderson, let me say that frankly, for a while it was interesting being the focus of attention by the media. But let me say this clearly that I wish I had never become involved in this matter. It's been a distraction in my life. There have been negative sides to it. The whole thing is just -- it's drained me and it's drained other members of my firm, including my partner who worked with me on this case. It's drained us emotionally and physically.

COOPER: Mr. Scott, I appreciate your time. I'm sure it's been a busy day for you. Thank you very much.

SCOTT: You're very welcome, Anderson. Thank you.

Sept. 7 2006 ANS gave birth to a daughter

on Sept. 26 , 2006 an attorney did a change to the BC (signed in the wrong place, plus illegal because he was not present at the birth.) Legal if he had been present, but still signed in the wrong place.
New name on Application for change or correction the 26th was Dannielyn Hope Marshall Stern .
some type of court procedure occurred after the 26th of Sept. in order for them to present this new BC. to be registered signed .
The New BC was presented to the Registers office on Oct 9,2006
Signed by the Register General on October 11 ,2006
TMZ published this BC in mid-October. HKS announced he was the father on LKL almost immediately

Tx for the posting! I had not seen this one and it is so much clearer and offers better perspective than the you tube videos.

The blonde: Pay attention. Security on bike appears to be asking who she is; security does NOT move her along. Animated with face exposed. She does leave to the left of video as if she sees someone she knows; she returns to watch the loading of ANS. After the loading, blonde moves to the right of video with a fast walk. "Kim" was last seen to right of camera.

"Kim": at first, this looks like a Native American male. Look again for you can see small breasts and the rump is that of a woman. Arms well developed but not those of a man unless he is small in arms.

Well worth a field trip! This is real eye popper into what happened, missing details, and what OTHERS believe happened based upon their insider info. Don't know when the book was released but after reading the excerpts, you won't see this the same way. I promise you that!

throughout this saga i have repeatedly tried to give hks the benefit of doubt...i have searched and looked all over for one shred of anything that would indicate to me he is innocent of any wrongdoing in regards to the deaths of the 2 people he claims to have loved most in the world..not one piece of anything have i found has in any way changed my mind or my opinion ....if anything the more i learn...the more i know my first thoughts were correct....daniel is dead because he was about to turn 21...and anna is dead because she knew how daniel died.....AND because there was a quest for her future possible inheritances from marshall for many years....simply put...anna and daniel had to go...and i also believe "they" tried to kill the baby in utero.....so larry makes me even more sick for his actions..if i was howard and was innocent.....i'd be crying from the rooftops to get on with daniels inquest and let me clear my name...he doesn't...if i was larry i'd keep my baby so far away from hks he wouldnt even ever know where she was....he doesn't...if i was moe or his wife or any of annas other "friends" i'd be crying from rooftops what happened....they dont...what a mess this woman lived with...poor daniel didn't stand a chance...i cant imagine virgies pain at knowing now what she didnt know then...and doing everything in her power to save daniel...forgivew yourself virgie..you didnt kill your babys..."they" did...my heart goes out to virgie and her family....the rest is just one huge bunch of evility (if thats even a word).......this is why i am here for justice for daniel...no one looked out for him....i hope everyone who has a grandchild in daniels situation now knows they must stop it...and does...this is a lesson that could come out of his senseless death..no child should have to live thru what daniel has....

501. The book goes into details about Daniel's death after Anna's and I will report all the other interesting tidbits in a bit but the second Anna passed,Howard was on the phone to ET telling them to hurry so he could make a deal about the breaking news of Anna's death and his plane ride home,etc.
Howard's odd behaviour has been detailed about his how odd he acted that day,such as how he brought his guests into the hotel room but the chairs for King Eric and Brigette were facing the back of room 607 and King Eric asked what time his appt was for the boat.He said noon and Howard looked at his watch and it was noon and said we better go,when his appt was really for 1 PM.He had made comments about not wanting to leave Anna alone but now it seemed ok to leave her alone to go see the boat.He had even cancelled many appt's to view the boat but kept the appt on the fateful day but the thing I don't understand,as a lawyer,he would have an appointment book or a good memory for dates and times for appts so why the *ahem* mistake?

21798. When Anna was ill and needed those antibiotics,Dr K first asked the hotel doctor to write the prescriptions for Anna,stating she was Anna's "personal nurse" for years but could NOT write prescriptions in the States
This was an odd request due to her writing prescriptions for Anna for years,either being called in or filled at American Walgreen's pharmacies.
In the end,Dr K called in the prescriptions for the antibiotics to Walgreen's for a patient named "Alex Katz".Alex Katz does infact exist and is a friend of Dr. K's and picked up the prescriptions himself.Normally,they have hotel concierge pick up any prescriptions but this time,someone within Anna's party (how it is phrased in the book) picked up the prescriptions.
RC contacted Mr. Katz for an interview and he he confirmed his friendship with Dr.K but quickly said that he didn't want to talk about that night and hung up.A source close to the investigation says Katz later refused to talk to the Seminole Police and lawyered up and shut up quickly.

This book is getting interesting and a private investigator was hired to dig up facts on the case and it is,IMO,very credible information.
Here are some of the best revelations so far....
When Daniel went to the PI,he said Howard gave him drugs and said it would make him feel better because he was stressed out about many things in his life.He told him he has since got clean.IMO,it seems he was trying to turn him into an addict so he could control him too.He openly admitted Howard hated him and whenever he called,Howard would hang up on him and so would the staff whom answered,likely just following orders from Howard.
The part that bothers me is that if Anna wasn't hearing from him,even in lucid moments,why did she not try to contact him?
Perhaps she did as Daniel was living with a friend of Anna's,whom directed Skyscraper and To The Limit and I wonder could Howard have said if Anna does try to contact Daniel,to say he wasn't available and to take a message because maybe he told this man he thinks Anna and Daniel need a little seperation because he is 20 years old and she needs to realise he won't be her little boy forever.Just a guess and it may sound silly.

Daniel also did not pass away in a chair as reported.He got in bed with Anna and she awoke and turned over and tried to awaken him.He would not stir and then she started screaming for help.This part brough tears to my eyes because here is a woman whom just had a c-section screaming and praying while they tried to revive him,hugging his leg.When the stopped CPR and pronounced him dead,this woman whom just had major surgery jumped on top of him trying to save him by pumping his chest and grabbed one of the air bags they place over a patient's face to encourage breathing.She had to be sedated and Rita Cosby said that the photo of Anna hugging Daniel's body while he still had a tube in his nose and Anna hysterically crying dies exist and she and several colleagues saw it and were appalled and repulsed someone would want to take a photo of a mother's severe grief and agony,hugging her dead son's body.
