Anna Nicole Pot Judge Burns Out

Judge Lawrence Korda has decided to weed himself out of the Broward County courts, announcing his early retirement from the bench. Righteous, Your Honor.

Korda, who heard arguments in the Anna Nicole Smith case, made a hash of things when he was arrested in March for allegedly firing up a doobie in the park -- and then pleaded not guilty -- to toking-up in the city park. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Korda's reeferiffic exploits sparked an official inquiry, which he avoided -- talk about harshing your mellow! -- by stepping down yesterday. Korda, according to his lawyer, was considering retirement anyway.

Hizzoner will be ganja for good on July 2.

"Report: Anna Nicole Smith's Lover Gave Son Drug, Tried to Cover It Up......

The same witness also will tell officials that after Daniel's death, Stern flushed the remaining methadone down the toilet, TMZ reported.

Smith will also be among the witnesses required to testify before the jury inquest, Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez said...."

Well....."Smith" won't be testifying after all, will she? That's if there ever IS an inquest.

62. Transcripts stating Howard K Stern and Anna Nicole Smith did profit from Daniels death and the committment cermony. There are more articles coming which conclude Howard K Stern did in fact sell Anna's funeral to the press. The man has made millions and millions from the deaths of Anna and her son. He can hide out forever now and watch his dirty money collect interest.

LATEST: Distraught former Playboy Playmate ANNA NICOLE SMITH has sold photos of her son DANIEL taken the night before he died in order to pay for his funeral expenses. The family portraits were taken in a hospital room in the Bahamas two days after the birth of Anna Nicole's daughter and hours before her 20-year-old son was found dead. Photo agency Getty Images sold the photos to US publication In Touch for $400,000 (GBP222,000) after a fierce bidding war. According to In Touch executive editor DAN WAKEFORD, "We purchased the photos, beating the competition.

Wakeford says the images show "a perfectly healthy young man". While it is unclear what portion of the proceeds will go to Anna Nicole, a source tells American publication Us Weekly that the star sold the pictures in order to pay for her son's funeral.

Getty Images claims that a portion of the profits from the sale of the photos will go to a charitable foundation to be set up in Daniel's name. His body remains at Butler's Funeral Home in the Bahamas and won't be released to the family until the investigation into his death is complete.

Note above article says " a portion of the proceeds from the pictures will go to a fund in Daniels name. Read what Stern tells Larry King below. He makes it seem like ALL the money is going to the Daniel Wayne Smith Trust Fund. And where is this trustfund? Any record of it even being established?

STERN: And we were going to do it to create a Daniel Wayne Smith Charitable Foundation. So she hasn't profited from those images. You know, those images were used or are going to be -- she hasn't received any money yet. Obviously, the funeral is going to take place long before any money comes from that.

KING: So there is a foundation that when the money is received, it will go to charitable goods?

STERN: Well, we are creating the foundation. And it's probably, you know, when we find out what the cause of Daniel's death was, it's going to be used to further whatever that is.

Commitment Ceremony
On September 28, Howard and Anna exchanged vows in an informal wedding ceremony on a boat near Nassau, though it was not a legally binding marriage. Their wedding photos were sold through Getty Images to People Magazine for around $1 million.[7]

'People' Pays $1M for Pics of Anna Nicole's Wedding

You have to hand it to Anna Nicole Smith: despite the sudden, tragic death of her son Daniel just days after the birth of her baby girl, she seems to have made quite the comeback.

Financially speaking, that is. Immediately following Daniel's death, she had Getty Images broker the final photos of her son and daughter, taken hours before his death, which were eventually sold to In Touch for a nice $375K or so.

But that's not enough to assuage this woman's suffering! So last week, when she had her emotional, fake wedding to her lawyer Howard K. Stern (who also claims to be the father of her new child), she had someone whip out the PowerShot and take a whole new round of snaps. And wouldn't you know it, Getty Images came to the celebrity weeklies with 30 images, ready to broker an offer. The lucky winner?

People, who is said to have forked over $1 million for the not-wedding wedding photos in a classy little bidding war (Radar confirms the sale). Commitment Ceremony

63. KING: Danilynne. Another e-mail from Karen in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, "Why has Anna Nicole been so secretive about who the father of her new daughter is?"

STERN: Well, I'm going to tell you that right now. Anna and I have been in a relationship and we love each other and it's been going on for a very long time and because of my relationship as her lawyer, we felt that it was best to keep everything hidden. And we've actually done a pretty good job of that.

KING: Sure have. So, you are the father?

STERN: Yes, sir.

KING: By the way, have there been an DNA tests taken?

STERN: Proud father.

KING: What?

STERN: I said proud father.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE!
ANNA NICOLE SMITH WEDS HOWARD K. STERN!

Posted Thursday, Sept. 28 / 2 pm ET
Updated Friday, Sept. 29 / 11 am ET

Star has broken the world-exclusive story that Anna Nicole Smith married her long-time attorney and close confidante, Howard K. Stern, shortly before 10:30 am in Nassau, Bahamas on Thursday, September 28! The wedding occurred only 18 days after the death of Anna's son Daniel, 20, from an accidental drug overdose in her Nassau hospital room on September 10.

Shortly after 7 am on the 28th, an eyewitness tells Star, Anna and Howard arrived at the private dock of the Paradise Harbour Club & Marina, where they boarded a 42-foot catamaran along with their three-week-old daughter, Dannie Lynn Hope, a small group of friends, their security guards and a local Baptist minister. The weather was beautiful — sunny and 82 degrees, with a cool breeze.

The eyewitness tells Star that Anna was wearing a loose, white, short-sleeved linen dress, which ended just below the knees and showed plenty of cleavage, and sported dark shades and a sun hat. Howard was wearing faded jeans and an island-style print shirt.

Sources say Anna and Howard had been partying straight through the previous evening, into the morning of the boat trip.

The catamaran left the dock at 7:30 am and cruised west, under power of the boat's engine, on the ocean side of Paradise Island. A source says that coffee, tea and mimosas were served during the ride, and that they turned off the engine after a half-hour and sailed leisurely the rest of the way to one of the many beautiful small islands dotting the waters.

The source adds that the boat was stocked with fresh fruit, pastries, cold salads and vegetable platters.

Anna and Howard spent most of the trip inside the boat's master cabin, says the source. But just before 10:30 am, the minister gathered everyone together and then called for Anna and Howard to come out on deck.

The happy couple emerged in a change of clothing: Anna was now wearing a full-length, sleeveless, white tulle wedding dress with an embroidered top, a sweetheart neckline and a veil, while Howard sported a standard dark suit over a white, open-necked dress shirt.

Facing the minister, and with one male and one female friend standing alongside as Best Man and Maid of Honor, the source says Anna and Howard held hands and exchanged rings and traditional "I Do's," before the minister pronounced them "man and wife." The couple then kissed lovingly as their guests applauded.

A local insider tells Star: "Anna and Howard had been talking with a local jeweler before the wedding. After trying to get a $10,000 diamond ring for free, they bought it."

The catamaran on which Anna and Howard wed, says a source.
The source says the catamaran anchored near an island at 11 a.m., and an accompanying speedboat ferried any passengers that wanted to go ashore to the island. Anna changed into a bikini with a wrap around her waist to hide the scar from her recent C-section, and she and Howard went ashore to have pictures taken by a photographer they brought along.

A little after 1 pm, the catamaran pulled up anchor and headed back east, where it anchored once again in a beautiful spot between two islands. By this time, says the source, Anna had changed into a one-piece print swimsuit, and Howard was now wearing cargo shorts and a black T-shirt.

Everyone continued to celebrate until roughly 4:30 pm, when, eyewitnesses tell Star, the boat took the newlyweds back to the Paradise Harbour Club & Marina's dock.

Just a few hours later, a rep for Smith at TrimSpa (whose diet products are endorsed by Anna Nicole) issued a confirmation of the event — yet insisted Smith and Stern had held a "committment ceremony" instead of a wedding, in which the happy couple vowed to "be each other's strength during this difficult time." Smith's Bahamian attorney, Michael Scott, also announced: "I don't think they had time to wait for a marriage license."

Two days before, on September 26, Stern had appeared live on the Larry King Show via satellite from the Bahamas, to announce that he was the father of Anna's newborn daughter Dannilynn Hope, that he and Anna "love each other" — and that the duo would get married "at some point."

Apparently, that point arrived much sooner than later. A source adds: "Stern was making all the arrangements in the days before the wedding."

This is apparently Stern's first marriage, but the third for Smith. She was a teen bride with Billy Wayne Smith (Daniel's father) in Texas in 1985; they divorced two years later. Smith then married 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in June 1994. He died in 1995, and Anna — who recently became a legal resident of the Bahamas — is still battling in court for her share of his estate.

65. . Anna Nicole Smith's Sudden Death
by Joal Ryan
Thu, 8 Feb 2007 08:15:00 PM PST

Hollywood, Florida.

Smith, whose final months were marked heavily by tragedy and controversy, was pronounced dead at 2:49 p.m. local time, after being found collapsed by a private nurse at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

She was a former Guess? Jeans model. She was a former Playboy Playmate. She was a former E! reality TV star. She was 39.

Authorities did not announce a cause of death, which proved just as sudden and shocking as the death of Smith's own son five months earlier. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday.

Paramedics were called to the Hard Rock at about 2 p.m.

When asked by WTVJ-TV if Smith was alive when emergency responders arrived, a local fire department captain said, "No, she was unconscious and not breathing."

By that time, Smith had already been administered CPR by a bodyguard. Paramedics performed more CPR and other life-saving techniques but could not revive her. Smith was taken by ambulance to nearby Memorial Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Seminole police chief Charlie Tiger told an afternoon press conference.

Eyewitnesses at the hospital speculated on what rescue workers already seemed to know: Smith, her body covered, was dead, even as she was taken into Memorial Regional.

Howard K. Stern, Smith's longtime lawyer and confidant—with whom she exchanged commitment vows but did not legally wed last September—and the bodyguard were in Smith's hotel room when rescue workers arrived.

"He was concerned," the fire official said of Stern to WTVJ-TV. "He was giving us her medical history."

What’s happened is that women have come into their masculine side a lot more. They’re on the go, all day long, and they’ve thrown their physiological systems off.By Bonnie Stern , U.S.A.

I feel what is happening now is that we women are coming into our own -with careers, being single moms and supporting our family. In that process we have been forced to exude our masculine side much more. We’re on the go, all day long, and we’ve thrown our physiological systems off. It's time women reclaim their inner flirt. Get in touch with yours at www.flurtzchocolate.com

In my eyes, a sexually liberated woman is someone who chooses to take control of her own body, is open to feeling all the emotions she has and enjoys sexual experiences to the utmost. Sex is so important for a lot of reasons. It’s part of intimacy in relationships, there’s a physical need and it’s a bonding experience with a special person. I feel there’s a real need to bring back loving feelings into the world. There’s so much negativity, stress and hate. We need to get back into a love mode, and that’s what Flurtz Chocolate can help to achieve, one woman at a time.

Flurtz Chocolate came about for a number of reasons. I’ve always been interested in sexuality and achieving the most amazing sensual experience. I heard about and tried one product that was meant to heighten the senses. I liked the idea of what it was meant to do, however, it didn’t deliver what I was hoping for.

I started researching people who could develop a formula that could help achieve a heightened sexual experience. I then had a formula developed, tested it on 125 women, and unfortunately it only worked about 55 per cent of the time. We started over with another formula and this time the results came back over 85 per cent effective.

I can’t give away our proprietary formula except to say there are several sexual enhancement herbs used. Those herbs are each sexually enhancing on their own, so when you combine them all with other herbs in the mixture, the formula helps to focus the blood flow to the pelvis area. The idea is to make the woman more sensitive.

Of course the herbs are coated in chocolate, which has its own antidepressant qualities.

67. . If Anna would have died before Daniel, Daniel would have inhireted Anna's entire estate, according to the will ,Howard was named the Executor and Daniel's legal guardian in the event of her death. Daniel was already 20 years old, he was emancipated from his mother, he didn't need a guardian and he could have contested the provision of the will naming Stern as the Executor. If Daniel was suspicious of Howard because he thought that he was stealing from his mother, that he was keeping her drugged to control and manipulate her, he could have demanded an investigation of his mother's assets. If all of this is truth, then, Daniel represented a great obstacle to Stern plans which were to take total control of Anna's estate. I'm not making this up, every paper, every outlet in the media has talked about it , Stern wanted total control of Anna's estate , that's why he wants to be the Special Administrator, if he steps down as the Executor ,Ron Rale is the next on line, he can step in as the Executor, In that way, everything stays in "the family "
There is another thing, Virgie Arthur and Billy Smith are Daniel's inmediate family . Daniel could have decided after his mother death to be with his family and, have them help him with the matters of his mother's estate, Not a very good idea when it comes to Stern preconceived plans. He would have been left out either way. Daniel could have decided to drop the Marshall's lawsuit, but if he would have decided to pursue it, he could have hired another lawyer to litigate for him and pay Stern his comission if they got a favorable ruling in the case.I have done this for the sake of speculation but it does provides a motive for Stern not only for wanting Daniel dead , but also the reason to precipitate the sequence of events that contributed to Anna's demise.. 68. FNM Statement

The Free National Movement is also disturbed over the special
treatment being dished out to Ms. Anna Nicole Smith by a government
which hastily gave her permanent residency; and by a government
whose minister of Labour and Immigration, the Hon. Shane Gibson,
has been known to personally visit Ms. Anna Nicole Smith at a dwelling home and, during her recent moment of deep personal loss and distress, at the
hospital bed.

FNM Statements
From FNM leader Hybert Ingraham

When returned to office,by the will of the Bahamian people, I commit
that the FNM government will amend the Coroner's Act to constitute
specialty Coroner's Courts, so that all unexplained deaths will be
promptly and efficiently investigated as has been the case since 1993.

FNM STATEMENTS

When the 1993 Coroner's Court was established the expressed intention
was that every unexplained or sudden death in the Bahamas would be referred to that court so that the cause of death would be independently determined.

69. 1) Daniel carrying methadone into the Bahamas
a- there is NO eveidence that Daniel was ever prescribed methadone (either in liquid or pill form) While ample evidence exists that Anna Nicole had accerss to and frequently used Methadone.

b - No 20-year-old american male traveling through international customs, ALONE, during a time of heightened security, when shampoo had to be in small, see-through containers, would attempt to smuggle in illegal methadone in either liquie or tablet form.

c- . Daniel, of all people, would have been well-aware of the fact that should he desire to "get high" while in the bahamas all he would have to do is decide which of the many prescription drugs on hand he wanted to ingest.

THE METHADONE WAS OBTAINED AFTER DANIEL ARRIVED IN THE BAHAMAS

2). Two white tablets were found on the bed, picked up by a nurse and given over to the authorities. One of these tablets was Methadone.

a- all hospital personnel gave statements that Howard K. Stern was the only one who had slept in the bed where the TWO WHITE TABLETS WERE FOUND.

b- Howard and friends tried to spin (through the media) that Daniel had been in that bed at some point, but the hospital staff strongly disputes this.

3). Howard left the hospital twiced during the course of that night

a- Howard admits to leaving the hospital one time to obtain food.

b. Howard denies that he ever left a second time, although testimony from the hospital staff will say otherwise

4). Daniel went straight from the airport to the hospital

a) No one disputes this although there may be some evidence that Daniel left with Howard, but this is not known right now

5) Howard retreived two white tablets from Daniel's jean pocket and flushed them down the toilet in front of Shelly

HERE'S WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING

- Howard is aware that TWO WHITE TABLETS were located by a nurse and turned over to authorties from the bed he was sleeping on.

- For some "odd" reason Howard decides to search Daniel's jean pockets the very afternoon he died. These were not the pants that Daniel was wearing at the time of death, these were "other" pants.

- TWO WHITE TABLETS fall out of these "other" jean pockets in front of Shelly

- Howard flushes them down the toilet and tells Shelly that he was "taking care of a problem".

- We will never know what those TWO WHITE TABLETS were because Howard destroyed the evidence

- Now Howard knows that Shelly will tell the police that Howard found TWO WHITE PILLS in Daniel's jean pockets.

- TWO WHITE PILLS which are similiar to the TWO WHITE PILLS (one of which is methadone) that the nurse found on Howard's bed.

- So we now have evidence, from Shelly, that Daniel had TWO WHITE PILLS, in his pants pocket that were discovered the very same day that he died.

- But we can't look at or test those pills, because Howard flushed them down the toilet.

- Howard, Shelly and Anna are all good buddies at this point. A good buddy is more likely to offer evidence to exonerate a friend.

- After Daniel dies, Howard encourages Anna to claim that the Horizon House was a gift and they refuse to acknowledge their debt to G. Ben Thompson

- A huge public fight ensues between Anna and Howard and Shelly and Thompson

- Everyone now knows that they are enemies.

- Enemies usually would not offer testimony that would exonerate someone.

- Now the authorities, and a jury is much more likely to credit Shelly's statement that he saw Howard remove those two pills from Daniel's pocket and flush them down the toilet, thus placing similiar drugs in Daniel's possession the day he died. Why would Shelly offer testimony that supports Howard's contention that "he doesn't know how Daniel got those pills." Therefor Daniel must have brought them himself or received them from someone else on the island - but not from Howard.

70. . .a Falling Out and it’s Over.
Jun 25th, 2007 by Jane Devin

1. I care about the truth

Several days ago, a contributor to this site wrote me an angry email because she thought I had pulled her post. Actually, it went into moderation because she had made an error at sign-in and the system treated it as a first comment. Her letter to me said, “I was sorry to see my post spit out, I suppose I was good enough when you needed me to send a letter to help you get published in People magazine. . .”.

This is just one of the stupid rumors that has spread like a plague – that I attempted to get an article of mine published by having people write into People magazine. It’s idiotic, and would be laughable, except that it just doesn’t go away, no matter how many times I send out copies of the letter I originally wrote to members of QV’s site. It was my one and only attempt at being an activist outside of writing. I thought that if enough public interest was shown, People might do a story on Anna’s Texas family, which many of Stern’s supporters seemed to want. I never would have sent this letter had I known what ugliness would follow.

I apologize for the form letter to you all…..I have been hard at work trying to get somebody in the mainstream media to take a look at what you guys have all compiled…….. I am asking that you write a brief letter to editor@people.com — in your own words . You can send them a link to one of the pieces of info,or to QV’s or my site, or even simply let them know you are concerned about Dannielynn being around this Texas family. Whatever you want to say — say it! THANK YOU!

It was this letter, reprinted here in its entirety, that fueled allegations of me being a “media whore” and of “media shopping”, “limelight seeking” and a dozen other lamebrained things, by two women who have continually attempted to prop themselves up by tearing me and others down.

I have let many small idiocies like this go, banishing them to the same corner where I place purposeful ignorance, but I am not – by any stretch of the imagination – a martyr for anybody’s cause. I can let such things go when they stay within the confines of one or two people’s wrong-minded perceptions, but when they result in persistent rumors that just won’t die, and that affect me personally, I feel a need to set the record straight.

For the record – anybody who reads that letter and sees “media whore” either cannot read or is not operating with a full deck.

2. I care about the truth, and integrity

A few weeks ago, a reader who had some interesting information meant for Birkhead and Stern wrote me, questioning a new email address Howard K. Stern’s sister Bonnie had given her. She wondered if the address might belong to the same two women – we’ll call them “Gladys” and “Fanny” here – who had become a source of mistrust for many people. While I am not part of that effort, I offered to pass the information on for her, and find out what I could.

Bonnie Stern was well aware of the issues many people, including myself, had with these two. In fact, Bonnie’s own words from a public thank you note that was posted on Gladys’s site (”To ‘Fanny,’ all of her volunteer helpers and ‘Gladys’ and her Husband”), had been taken out of context by one of these women. Bonnie’s note, in part, read “I am sorry that so much greed has come to this.” Bonnie, (I later learned through one of Stern’s attorneys, not Bonnie herself) was speaking of the greed that caused litigation, but this is how her words were portrayed in an email from Gladys to QV, which she copied to Stern’s sister and attorneys:

“And just look what Bonnie has to say about people like you and Jane. . .”.

This was the first time my name was brought into the ring, and I was not happy about it, especially since the letter went on to accuse me of “having a LOT of facts wrong and plagarized (sp) from books.” Gladys never contacted me directly with her allegations – instead she attempted to discredit me, without facts of her own and without merit, through her attacks on another.

I responded to the allegations with a strongly worded letter of my own. I never heard back from Gladys, but I expected that. I never heard back from Bonnie either, although it was her note that had been used as part of the assault. Nonetheless, based on what the attorney said, I apologized to Bonnie for believing the way her words were presented in Gladys’s email, and we both moved forward to discuss other things.

Fanny, meanwhile, was sending emails out to people saying that the Stern family had disowned my site and QV’s as “unwholesome” and “greedy”. The smear campaign went into high gear — but how did it even begin?

In March, QV posted an article about James Sanders on her site. Gladys – then a contributor to the site – thought the article contained wrong information, and wrote a letter to QV accusing her of trying to be the next TMZ at the expense of the Stern family. She then demanded that QV remove every post Gladys ever made on annanicoleandhowardkstern.com because she (who wrote posts like “Prayers Needed for Howard”) didn’t want to get sued by John O’Quinn. A preposterous and illogical assumption, but QV complied, especially since Gladys threatened her with legal action and cc’d her “personal attorney” on the letter.

Bonnie also wrote QV asking that the post be removed – QV complied with that, too. The post was online for a little over two hours. However, the information was not new – and had been on CTV boards for two weeks. (Incidentally, the Sanders information was found to be accurate, but that’s old news now).

Gladys didn’t stop there, though. She accused QV of possibly ruining Howard’s case in court with this information, as if it were some sort of smoking gun, or as if the justice system turned on what was written on a website.

She then went on to accuse QV of blowing her “attorney work product” privilege.

Gladys is not an attorney, nor an employee of one. She was simply collecting information, most of which was gathered by other people, most of which was public information, and passing it on to Stern’s attorneys. She has no “attorney work product.” At this point, there appeared to be some delusion of grandeur at play that concerned me. Other comments such as “and darlin I am working with a LOT of ppl very high up in this case…” only added to my concerns.

I sent a letter out to one of Stern’s attorneys then, and copied Bonnie Stern. I was concerned about two things, namely that Gladys appeared to be operating under the assumption that she was an actual part of Stern’s legal team, and that she appeared to be trigger happy in threatening lawsuits. Bonnie never responded. In a later conversation with one of the attorneys, I was told that there was no special relationship with Gladys or Fanny outside of an appreciation for the public information that was collected and sent, and that the same appreciation was extended to all who offered support. No website or its contributors had been “disowned”.

In my original “Blogging Howard K. Stern” I addressed some of the allegations made against me by Gladys and Fanny. I felt it was my right to do so after being so thoroughly dragged through the mud, but I was also mindful of other people’s investment in the issues, so did not give the full account. Some readers did not respond well. Some wanted more details and felt I was too cryptic. Others did not want the site sullied with “online drama” and felt I should not have responded at all. The thread deteriorated into arguments among contributors and I pulled the comments and rewrote the post.

Gladys’s first few posts on her new website were not about Howard K. Stern or the various cases, but the laws as she saw them.

“Posting ‘annoying or harassing posts’ using an alias, pen name, nick name or pseudonyms is now illegal! Rest assure we are taking these threats very seriously and are dealing with them in the right order and venues. . .”.

My slight defense was apparently viewed as “annoying or harassing” to Gladys, and again she attempted to pull some sort of imaginary legal trigger on those with whom she had issues.

Gladys was officially through with QV’s site, but continued to collect information from its members, mostly through moderator “Fanny.” However, when Fanny began deleting posts without permission, and taking it upon herself to decide how the site would be used, and who could post what, and began demanding that all research information be sent to her, QV released her as moderator. Gladys and Fanny then started their own website.

It was only after the fact that QV found out the full extent of damage done. “I have been contacted by select media outlets to run this site’s information,” Fanny wrote in emails to others. Apparently, not only was she secretly deleting posts and pilfering information collected by others, she was also passing herself off as the owner or proper contact on QV’s site. Of course she never told QV about these “select media outlets.”

When she was released as moderator, Fanny furiously scribbled off a long letter to QV’s members entitled “Since NONE of you BOTHERED to ASK”. It was a long diatribe, heavy on self-pity for all the “thankless tasks” she had done, and included this: “(QV) is well aware that ALL the information that has been passed on to me goes to (one of Howard’s attorney’s) assistant. There is a beautiful open door policy between us and if it weren’t for the workings of many members on this site much of the informaiton (sp) would never have seen the top of her desk.”

This was the type of mindset I found so disturbing, first from Gladys and then from Fanny. The email addresses of Stern’s attorneys are all on the internet. The implication of special, even exclusive, relationships seemed particularly remarkable since I was assured by one of the attorneys that no such relationship or exclusivity existed.

This was the general background of the “internet drama” as it played out from March until recently.

3. I care about truth, integrity, and keeping confidences

When I received the letter asking about the “new” email address from someone who did not want to send their information to Gladys or Fanny, I wrote Bonnie a letter and asked her who the email address belonged to.

Bonnie replied, “It’s the email of the liason that sends it to the correct lawyer whether it be in CA, GA or the Bahamas… that’s where I send things that come my way…”.

I googled the email address given and found it connected to a Wiki article (which has since been removed, but which has been cached).

A True xxxx, BDSM, Stormxxxx, cajunxxxx. . . .BDSM writings, adult web sets, columns of Daddy Sxxxx, Poetry of Sirxxxxx, alternative lifestyle abuse, D/s relationships. . . .News related to BDSM, BDSM symbol. . . .

I wrote Bonnie back and told her that I knew who the email belonged to, and that I was disappointed.

Later that night, I was asked to a chat to explain the situation in private to QV and the moderators of her site. Many members who had been active in finding information did not want to deal with Gladys and Fanny. During that chat, I suggested they send their information directly to the attorneys. I also said that I did not think Bonnie, or the Sterns, cared where the information came from — that Bonnie was just a sister doing her best to help her brother.

During the chat, one of the moderators said that they had sent information to that address, and in return got a thank you note signed “Howard K. Stern’s Legal Liason Team.” She forwarded a copy to me.

I was concerned about the impropriety of online lay people representing themselves as “legal liasons” for Stern. I was also concerned that letters being signed this way were connected with an adult web site. I thought the attorneys in the case should know, so I wrote two of them in confidence and copied Bonnie Stern. I understand that QV wrote a letter as well.

The BDSM site from the Wiki article sits on a site with only four others. One is an adult, self-proclaimed ”non-porn” site featuring various Dom/sub writings, and another is meant to support people abused in BDSM relationships. Gladys claims ownership of both these sites . The other two are sites that paste celebrity faces on nude bodies, with links to harder core and pay-for-porn sites. Originally, QV believed that all sites were owned by Gladys, but the official registrations did not bear this out. My email listed only the primary one.

It was Gladys herself, and not me or QV who made this information public. Gladys did this on her own website, replete with links to Flurtz chocolate and her BDSM sites, when she wrote a long post about who the real “Gladys” was – most of its text dedicated to defending her right to an alternative lifestyle and slamming other people’s “closed-mindedness”. In that post, she quoted words from emails she would have not have had access to – and would not have even known existed – unless someone forwarded her a copy.

I spoke with one of the attorneys. They did not forward the letter I sent in confidence. They did not believe the other attorney would have. That left Bonnie Stern, the only other recipient. Would she have? It didn’t make sense to me.

A few days later, I received a ping from Gladys’s website to my own. A ping is received when one wordpress site links to another, and it appears as a post. I clicked on the link to find “An Editorial Opinion” by Gladys in which she – once again – took the matter to a public forum. I allowed the link to stand on my site, once again in the “Blogging Howard” thread, and invited readers to see the matter from Gladys and Fanny’s perspective for themselves. And not surprisingly, the thread turned ugly. The point of the whole matter was – again – missed. It wasn’t about who had an alternative lifestyle – it was about who was misrepresenting themselves as “legal liasons”, and the mix of an adult website with anything concerning Stern and his legal team. On that thread, misinformation about the official ownership of the last two registered adult sites was posted. I removed it. I then blocked the thread from further comments because it became unproductive.

In her “Editorial Opinion,” Gladys put a word in quotation marks, attributed to me, that was in the first email I sent. One of the two attorneys, the one I didn’t speak to, was not copied on that letter. This email only went to one attorney, and Bonnie Stern.

So who broke the confidence that set off this chain reaction? Who sent out copies of emails that were clearly confidential, or shared what was in them? I do not know for certain. I only know that they did not leave my mailbox except for the intended recipients.

I do know that Bonnie gave Gladys’s BDSM email address to a room full of people in chat – I have the chat log. I know that at the time she gave it, she was aware that people were leery of Gladys and Fanny and did not want to deal with them. I know that in an email to me, she told me the address belonged to the “liason” but would not provide me a name.

I know that since Gladys made this public, she has made the top friends of Bonnie’s “myspace” friends, while several supporters from QV’s site – and QV herself – were removed. I don’t understand the draw of myspace and don’t have a page there, but several people who have diligently supported Stern have expressed their hurt over the matter.

4. I care about many things, but none of it as it pertains to this sad chapter, not anymore

This was not the largest reason I had to leave the story – I told you it was the smallest. It is, and yet it’s one of the longest pieces I’ll ever post on this site. There has just been so much garbage, strife, and disingenuous behavior thrown at my web space, and me personally – as well as QV’s site and her personally – for so long. . .and so much needless angst that supporters of both sites have had to endure, that it was time to clear up the mysteries and clean the air.

QV, feeling betrayed, frustrated and hurt after months of extending time, care and support has opted to close her site. This site will stay open but as promised, I will not write about this subject again. I will not respond to any posts on any other site about the matter, and people may say what they please about it. This issue is closed for me, and for that I am profoundly glad.

. . .Rumors
Jun 24th, 2007 by Jane Devin

I did not want to write this chapter at all, much less as the ending to an effort I put my heart and soul into. I was hoping to end on a positive note but the hits kept coming, and keep coming, and I’m tired. Of broken confidences, outright lies, and persistent rumors – and most especially of people who would twist, bend and cloud issues in an effort to pass themselves off as morally or functionally superior.

First, let me remove some of the clouds that have obscured the truth.

I do not care what mode of expression another person’s sexuality takes. I don’t care what their kinks or fetishes are. I don’t care if they’ve made a lifestyle out of their sexuality, or if they own a website to share it, or even if they own “a large BDSM network.” I don’t care if they feel called to promote women’s sexuality, or what their business and personal ventures are.

I don’t care who befriends whom, and I don’t want or seek control over other people’s friendships or associations. The friends of my perceived “enemies” may not be people I wish to get close to, but I don’t begrudge or despise them. It’s a big, big world and there are, or should be, choices enough to suit everyone’s tastes.

I don’t care about – what was it the fools said? Oh, yeah – “media spotlight hunger,” “the limelight,” or other such rubbish.

This site was not started to bolster any perceived career. I am not a beginner, or a “wanna-be” anything. I have been a writer for a very very long time. My work has appeared in a literary publications and magazines. Even though I have not submitted any work for publication since the mid-90’s, I do know how to go about it. One has to submit their own work, by themselves or through their literary agent, to be published – it is not done through the internet. If I wanted to publish any of my work in “real time,” I am more than familiar with the standard procedures, and have my own real-life contacts. I know the ropes.

I don’t care about other people’s websites, except where they seek to imply threats against me or to lie about me. There are millions of blogs online. I feel no sense of competition with others. I don’t care about the number of “hits” this blog gets. I write equally no matter how many hits or unique visitors I get per day – I make the same amount of money, zero – and my self-esteem and motivations are not driven by what others, including those involved in or on the periphery of the ANS/HKS story, think of janedevin.com or its contents.

I don’t care about being a member of a group. I started this site sharing my views on the treatment of HKS in the media. I did not, to the best of my knowledge, sign my person over to any group of “volunteers,” fans or supporters. My views are my own. Sometimes people share them; sometimes they do not. If there is any group that has gravitated towards this website, I believe they come from a place of sharing a reasonable, compassionate, thoughtful mindset – not because of a lockstep and collective opinion of “bad” and “good.”

I don’t care to continue writing about the same topic. I feel no obligation or desire to “keep this site to what it was originally intended for,” meaning the defense of HKS against the media. That issue is largely over. I feel free to move on, concentrate on others issues, and talk about other things. That’s my right, and it’s the right of others to follow whatever stories they want, where they want. It does not mean that I’ve turned “anti-Howard”. My views on HKS during this tragedy have been stated over and over again, and have never been retracted – and unless you see a retraction from me personally, none exists

Kim A
I was pondering the BDSM mentality of Gladys and Fanny. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I think they felt that they had posters from your site and QV’s site “collared”. The research being sent to them directly because of feigned camaraderie, the ridiculous baby talk and sickly sweet euphemisms to draw in unsuspecting, trusting, generous souls led them to feel powerful and as if they owned the unsuspecting.
All the early postings both were involved in were a form of grooming. Building trust and then exploiting the trust only to throw it back at the very same people who allowed them access and feeling that they were entitled to the submissions by so many. And, in a way, all the email and hours of research submitted to them directly was a form of power and ownership for them.
They only became angry when you and QV dared to step outside of their control. You thought for yourselves and defied their edicts! When QV posted the Sanders connection, they were enraged because this was research they wanted for themselves, to claim as their own and original to them. Did they even take into account the revelation of the relationship on the CourtTV boards or the ease of access to Texas Public Records? Apparently not.
So many have shown that they are not Bound to these Imposters, they refuse to be Disciplined with outrageous emails by these Imposters, do not submit to the Imposters’ joy in Sadistic manipulation and recognize the Masochistic tendency of the Imposters in that they are creating and subjecting themselves to drama and public humiliation.
You, Jane Devin, and QV, don’t need the false celebrity. You stand on your own merits: compassion, truth, openness, inclusion…You are both real people who know what is right and good and how to elicit the same from many just by being who you are and by letting others be who they are.
Different isn’t wrong.
Deceitful is.

72. . By Inderia Saunders, Guardian Staff Reporter

inderia@nasguard.com

While local officials had not released the autopsy report on Daniel Smith yesterday, sections of the US media were reporting that the son of celebrity Anna Nicole Smith "did not die of natural causes." The Nassau Guardian was unable to confirm the reports by People magazine that quoted the coroner, Magistrate Linda Virgill, as saying: "The cause of death is not natural." "We wish to reserve the cause of death at this time pending the toxicologist's examination and report for confirmation of cause of death. Friday is the likely release date for the autopsy and toxicology report," Magistrate Virgill told People. Meanwhile, Doctors Hospital revealed the account of what happened when Daniel Smith died in the maternity ward while visiting his mother on Sunday. They strongly deny reports that the scene was chaotic. "On Sunday, September 10, at 6:20a.m., it was noted by one of our associates that Daniel was attending to his mother's comfort. Subsequently, he was observed to be asleep on multiple occasions," said President & CEO of Doctors Hospital, Barry Rassin. "At 9:38 a.m., the nurse was called, following which physicians on the floor were immediately summoned. Recognising Daniel was unresponsive ...a code blue was called and the team responded. Resuscitative efforts using

Advanced Life Support protocol continued for twenty-two minutes, without response." Daniel was pronounced dead at 10:05 a.m, he said. Doctors Hospital officials again strongly denied reports that their medical team was unable to find the proper oxygen supply needed to resuscitate Daniel at the time, and that the room "was a total mess," with vomit and blood splattered everywhere. "That's nonsense," said the hospital chief. "That's total nonsense. I can't make any other comments at this time because number one, it's a police matter and number two, it's confidentiality of the patient that we will preserve," Mr Rassin told the Guardian on Monday. People magazine reported yesterday that Magistrate Virgill reported that a Coroner's Inquest would take place. The magazine also reported that according to Magistrate Virgill, Anna Nicole Smith would more than likely be present for her testimony. "All persons who are relevant witnesses, like his mother and hospital staff and airline personnel who had contact with him, would have to testify," the magistrate told the magazine. "The inquest would happen late October or early November to determine how, when and by what manner Daniel came to his death." The magazine also quoted Magistrate Virgill as saying "the family wishes to return the body to the United States, but it won't be released until the reports are in." Nassau Guardian staff was unable to reach Magistrate Virgill or police officials for further confirmation. Deputy Medical Staff Co-ordinator of the Princess Margaret Hospital, Doctor Hubert Minnis, said yesterday that Anna Nicole Smith and her baby girl were both doing very well and were experiencing no problems physically.

73. Too Many Unasked, Unanswered Questions About Anna Nicole Smith's Death
By Matt Towery
Thursday, February 15, 2007

I know everyone's sick of hearing and reading about Anna Nicole Smith, the late celebrity without portfolio.

In broaching the subject, I mean no disrespect for the dead. It's the living who draw my interest.

Anna Nicole Smith smiles as she walks to the courthouse with Howard Stern, her attorney, in this file photo from Oct. 2, 2000, in Houston. Stern's sister said Monday, Feb. 11, 2007, that he was not with the former Playboy playmate when she died but knew that she was very sick. (AP Photo/Brett Cooomer-File) By now most of us know about Howard K. Stern -- the middle initial "K" is to distinguish him from the radio shock-jock Howard Stern.

Howard K. Stern is the seemingly "quasi-" husband of Smith, one of a lengthening list of men claiming to have enjoyed intimate relations with Smith during what physicians say would had to have been a fairly short length of time -- the time in which she could have conceived the baby who was later born. If that list of possible suitors keeps growing, Smith's greatest accomplishment may be having the most potential "baby-daddies" in recent history.

But it's Stern who clearly stands out in the Anna Nicole Smith saga. Those who viewed the reality show that featured an often-incoherent Anna Nicole know it was Stern who played the dual roles of her counselor-at-law and concierge. I considered it a safe bet that he was being paid a fortune to spend even 10 minutes in the wacky world of this confused, pitiful young woman, much less time enough to run her life minute-by-minute.

Yet there he was, guiding her every move, often with Smith appearing to have no idea what she was doing or where she was going.

At this point in my evaluation, the trained attorney in me surfaces. I'd never want to damage a man who is grieving over the loss of a loved one. Still, in watching this media circus continue to unfold, I have some questions that even the likes of CNN's Nancy Grace have yet to fully and clearly pose.

-- How and why did Anna Nicole Smith and Stern end up taking up residency in the Bahamas prior to the birth of her child? Who made that decision? Anna Nicole? Did she understand that by moving there, she and her baby would be subject to a whole new set of laws? Laws that would be more beneficial to someone who was her civil spouse than to her or someone who had her power of attorney?

-- What are the chances that drugs, most of all prescription drugs, could have been obtained for a woman obviously already whacked out? Who prescribed the drugs? To whose name were they prescribed?

-- How is it that Smith's only living heir prior to the birth of her daughter, her son, could have been addicted to drugs with no one doing anything about it? How did he get access to methadone, which apparently can be fatal when combined with certain prescription drugs?

-- Was Smith also using methadone? There are reports that methadone was found in the refrigerator of her home in the Bahamas immediately after her death in Florida. If that's true, why would such a dangerous drug -- one that might have killed her son -- still be around long after his death?

-- While in Florida, Smith reportedly had a dangerously high fever of 105 degrees. With a nurse at her side, why was a physician not summoned; why no call made to 911? Any nurse knows that such a high fever is something that should be called to the attention of a physician to determine its cause.

-- Where was Stern when Smith died? We've heard many versions of the story, but what needs to be known is who was where, and why, during the entire bizarre stay at the Florida hotel.

-- Finally, how could someone suffering the grief Stern is going through negotiate a deal with a television program for exclusive interviews and photos? And at what price?

74. After a brief meeting Wednesday, the inquest into the death of ANNA NICOLE SMITH's son DANIEL will reconvene next month in the Bahamas.

On June 18, The Supreme Court will meet to discuss HOWARD K. STERN's appeal; June 26 will mark the date set for mention, meaning a date will be picked for the inquest to officially resume.

This was posted earlier today. I think many of were confused. Quincy appeared on Greta's show frequently, after Daniel's death.

Bahamas Journal 29th May
Date Set For Constitutional Challenge To Coroners Act
By Quincy Parker

On July 16, Supreme Court Justice John Lyons will hear arguments from
representatives from the Office of the Attorney General and lawyers for
Howard K. Stern in Mr. Stern's Constitutional challenge to the Coroners Act.

Mr. Stern, the lawyer/lover of the late Bahamian permanent resident Anna
Nicole Smith, is challenging the Coroners Act as unconstitutional because it
doesn't allow the coroner to question a coroner's jury.

The inquest into the death of Ms. Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel Wayne Smith
has been on hold since Mr. Stern's legal team raised the issue of wanting
the coroner - in this instance Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez - to make the
jury answer a questionnaire.

Mr. Stern's lawyer, Wayne Munroe, said his client was concerned about the
media coverage of the death of Ms. Smith in February, of Daniel's own death
in September 2006 and of the court battles over Ms. Smith's infant daughter
Dannielynn.

Mr. Stern, he said, may have been painted as the villain of the whole
affair.

On May 22, the parties met before Justice Lyons for what Mr. Munroe called a
"mention" hearing.

"The hearing of arguments is set for the 16th of July," Mr. Munroe told the
Journal.

"Both interested parties will put their case. It is estimated to last half a
day. It was simply the setting of a date (for arguments to be heard).
Nothing was discussed; it was just the setting of a date."

Mr. Stern has challenged the constitutionality of the Coroners Act based on
his contention that it contravenes the Constitutional promise of a fair
trial before an "impartial" jury.

Since the Act does not allow coroners' juries to be questioned, Mr. Stern
contends that it is impossible to ascertain whether the seven-member jury
empanelled in the Daniel Smith inquest is in fact impartial.

Therefore, he argues, the Act is unconstitutional, and he wants a direction
from the Supreme Court, which exercises a supervisory function over the
Magistrate's Court (including the Coroners Court), allowing the coroner to
compose a questionnaire in consultation with the lawyers for all interested
parties.

The court would then allow the lawyers for interested parties to question
the jurors based on the answers they give to the questionnaire.

The Crown has opposed this move, as it is outside the ambit of the Coroner's
powers as outlined in the Act.

Daniel Smith died suddenly at Doctors Hospital on September 10, 2006, while
visiting his mother and newborn half sister three days after she was born.
His death was ruled an accidental drug overdose, and the inquest was called
to "answer any unanswered questions," according to Chief Magistrate Gomez.

The inquest could resume in July, depending on the outcome of Mr. Stern's
Constitutional challenge.

It is expected to take months for the inquest to be completed, so it is
likely that it will be nearly a year before a legal cause of death is
definitively determined in the death of Daniel Smith.

--------------

The seven-panel jury, which will be chosen from a pool of Bahamians between
the ages of 21 and 60, is expected to hear from more than 30 witnesses over
two weeks.

The hearing will determine who was in the hospital with Daniel Smith and how
he obtained the drugs that allegedly contributed to his death. The jury is
expected to hear from hospital personnel and from local law-enforcement
officers who examined the hospital room for evidence.

Bahamian officials have also summoned Daniel Smith's friends from California
to testify about his demeanor in the days before he died.

Stern, who was reportedly asleep in Smith's hospital room when Daniel Smith
died, is also expected to testify.

After the evidence is presented, jurors will be asked to recommend one of
four possible manners of death: murder, manslaughter,
accidental/misadventure or otherwise.

They will also be asked to identify who, if anyone, they believe should be
criminally charged, although the ultimate decision lies with the attorney
general's office. The jury's decision does not have to be unanimous.

THE INQUEST IS THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE!
