Hi Art,

You met my co-counsel Nancy Hass and I during the Florida proceedings in the “Anna Nicole Smith” case. I was one of Larry Birkhead’s Florida attorneys.

I just read “on line “that you reported (quoting Debra Opri) that Larry Birkhead failed to pay his Florida attorneys. That is not true. Larry paid us in full several weeks ago (and prior to Debra filing her lawsuit to compel arbitration against him.)

I have not contacted any other reporters writing on the Birkhead Opri litigation at this time, but felt compelled to contact you when I saw the incorrect statement in print. Now I know why people are coming up to me saying they heard I was not paid.

To set the record straight Larry willingly paid my and Nancy Hass’ bill. After he parted ways with Debra, Nancy and I had frequent contact with Larry. We both found Larry to be gracious, polite and certainly not high maintenance client.

34. Now everyone can see why Larry fought so hard for custody. He was after the money all the time. He never owned a home just lived in that one bedroom apartment with another guy so now he moves into Anna's home. Remember he was fighting for child support when Anna was alive. This is not right for a man who was only a sperm donor to end up with everything Anna owned.

37. Opri has been an excellent and succesful attorney for years, don't expect her to get much support from fellow attorneys...that is how the cookie crumbles.
Larry is a smart and cunning, conniving guy, it's hardly likely he would not pay other attorneys, he doesnt want it to be said that he established a pattern; he just wont pay Debbie, and never planned to, he wants $$$all for himself; moreover $tern and Rale hate Debra as she was the one who broadsided them! And isn't that what she was hired to do?

38. Byron, Kerrick...... I am not sure of why you are not stating the truth about Larry......He has always worked..... On the stand he testified of over $100,000...... in the past more...... that was the problem between Anna and Larry..... She wanted more of Larry's time..... and he refused to live off of anyone.... especially a women....

By the way on the stand in Fl he said he earned about 80,000 a year as a photog, not 100,000. Now he doesn't work, he is living off the woman who found him repulsive in her final year of life. Pity Opri defended him so strongly, poor woman!

44. I've never heard of anyone as two-faced and crooked as Birkhead. To try to beat the very person who worked for months to get his face out to the public & try to win custody when he was only known as a disgruntled man who sometimes shacked up with Anna. That tells me all I need to know about his character. I wouldn't believe anything this con artist said.

45. Larry did NOT pay his lawyers, the money came from stealing from the baby's college fund.
As expected all he wanted her for is what he could steal and leach off her while to this day never taking baby into a clinic and having a full examine of her health.
