Mischa, Rumer, Bruce Set to Ruin Film Classic

Rumer Willis has been cast alongside her father, Bruce Willis, and Mischa Barton in a teenage take on the noir classic "Chinatown." No, that is not a typo.

Barton plays the most popular girl in a Catholic school who stumbles upon a sinister conspiracy while investigating the theft of SAT exams, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Bruce Willis co-stars as the principal while Rumer plays Mischa's less attractive friend.

Rumer's only previous acting credits are all in films starring either mom Demi or dad Bruce. Nepotism, continuing to ruin Hollywood films.

32. poor poor Rumor...I hear there are good facial palstic sugeons in Beverly Hills...I think it is crappy that her mom does not do anything proactive to help her child deal with what is obvioulsy some sort of facial deformity ( and I am not being catty here)

34. Enough of the re-makes Hollywood!!! Can't you guys just leave a classic movie alone?! What's next...Gone With The Wind...oh, I know! Ashton Kutcher would have to be Rhett Butler right...and who would be Scarlett? Oh probably Reese Whitherspoon! Just leave the classics alone....if you have any talented writers maybe they could do something like....come up with an original script!!!

As far as trying to take the script of Chinatown and modernizing it...leave it alone. It sucked when they tried to do that with Dangerous Liason and re-made it into Cruel Intentions...it doesn't work when they try to do that.

As for the casting...WHAT!!!

35. Damn, people, Rumer hasn't really done much to be talked about this badly. So, there's a couple of questionable pics of her but she hasn't gone off the deep end. THIS right here, all of this, is how young celebs fly out of control, with exception of Paris Hilton b/c I think Kathy just messed her up. The only thing Rumer did was be born to two high profile people. But I do agree, leave the original Chinatown to be the only Chinatown.

40. You guys crack me up!!!!!!!! But seriously, looks are not the most important thing and should not define a person, but unfortunately they do. That is the truth about our society, and that could not be more true in Hollywood......... Not all of us can be beauty queens. I am surprised that they want to encourage their daughter to follow this path. Just becasue they are actors does not mean she should be. ...And she might be a nice girl but she is not what most would consider beautiful. I hope she can handle the harsh criticisms. Whats so wrong with being a regular person? Why does she have to act? Why not college? Unless she is ok with the supporting actress thing. I agree, none of those kids seems to have a face for television or movies. Im not saying it right to hurt people, but if thats the "world" they want to live in, they have to know there will be tons of scrutiny. Hang in there kids of Demi and Bruce, your not bad.

What a shame to judge a person by what you see on the outside, especially since the outside is what ages and wrinkles, etc. You've got to have some substance. Cute doesn't work when you're 40. Plus, she's just a kid. What is wrong with you people? Seems like people really get caught up in just being mean.
