17. Actually her attorney may have done an excellent job. I can think of example after example of Dad with abuse and drug problems that get ZERO time with their kids on their own. Supervised visitation only, like an hour a week.

In this case the angry, abusive, drug addled Mom gets the same deal nearly all Dads without those problems get!!!

So if you think Paris Hilton gets preferential treatment....take a look at the plight most Dads in the US get. They are considered disposable.

you know Ginger it's funny how you take that attitude based simply on a video of dad drunk and eating a burger or rather slopping it around. What you did NOT see in the video was dad being abusive even though obviously intoxicated. What you didnt see is the mom's abusive nature and her own alcohol and DRUG abuse . and you call Hoff a slob ? There was clearly more to this than that video and the judge's decision makes that clear. You are just another one of these people who believe ' moms ' should get custody period no matter what. Which we all know is stupid silly and down right dangerous.

20. I agree with Juli. No one knows what really happened behind closed doors. And the Debra Opri classification now, well I just don't know about everyone else, but it is not very good in my book. I also hope the bar takes a good look at her ethics.

21. The final thing the daughers could not TAKE is when sweet, gentle Mom claimed to all of the officials that THEY released the video of Dad. Well it was the Mom who did it, to try to gain advantage in Divorce Court from those who can only see the superficial. The girls made the tape to HELP Dad see what he is like and you can hear that they care about him deeply.

So her evil plan backfired on her. That is parental alienation and abuse and anger issues rolled up into one example of awful Mom behavior.

So Hoff fell off the wagon...he was not mean or abusive to them, just pitiful. And he very rarely drinks.

The kids talked about what they go through at Mom's and begged to go live with Dad. NOW things have a chance to calm down.

26. I agree with those who think Dads get an unfair deal. I dont know what research evidence lwayers and judges have used all these decades to determine that MEN are unfit to be good parents and automatically award in favor of the mother...I dont think biology is good enough ...Its time more cases were critically assesed and MEN given a role in the life of thier children. I believe it makes for an all round happy child unless of ocurse there is evidence of abuse.

Also children can be pretty intuitive as well a as manipulative and they shoudl be given the opportunity and encouraged by the judge and pyschilogists away from the parents and lawyers to speak up about their needs and parents.

Hoffs kids are not little biddy infants they are grown and can asses the situation for themselves if they hate being with thier father so much they can emancipate themselves and seek financial support from the parents.

I dont think any ex wives should be PAID for taking care of their kids. I think an account should be set up where both parents contribute a percentage of thier salary... with a manager who will pay all the kids bills, tuition etc. That way ex-mama can go find her her own job and WORK instead of blaming all her woes on her ex husband and collecting checks.

If women want to be treated equally and be given the royal treatment as the queen breeder, they should be willing to take on full responsibility and also contribute financially to raising thier kids.

Whereas both parents bring both the child, it seems like in these divorce cases men are asked to pay rent for using the WOMB of woman to breed. These women equally enjoy the children and they needed the sperm. so unless WOMEN are being asked to pay for using that SPERM, to each his own at the end of the divorce. MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN MONEY BITCHES AND FEDERLINES of this world.

* Kids need both their Mom and their Dad

* Many in family court are female and there is a large percent with chips on their shoulders...like they have an agenda to pursue

* There are no qualifications for many of these judges, FC lawyers, etc

* Huge impact from the Feminists - men are presumed aggressors....my exwife attacked me, and I got thrown out of my house yet did nothing

* Read VAWA summaries...it is a federal law that favors a gender - a friend had his wife attack him with a knife...he runs to the bathroom and locks the door...she starts cutting thru the door....he called 911 on his cell as he could not get out the bathroom window....the cops show up...see angry wife holding knife and sawed into door...they arrest and cuff the man and haul him off to jail. Then she gets a restraining order on him yet he did nothing. Then he is ordered to stay away from his own house and to keep making all payments on it. He moved in with a friend and sleeps on a couch. And the RO cannot be cancelled when the wife calms down. This is all legal.

* If you have not experienced the preferential treatment in some manner, you will tend not to believe it.

* In Family Court there is no presumption on innocence, there is no equal protection under the law, there is no due process or right to confront your accuser, etc, etc

* Restraining orders mostly protect the Judges who issue them like kleenex. That way if someone is killed they can at least say they issued the RO whereas if they didn't then they'd be in trouble.

* A woman utters a sentence and it is a fact, a man needs witnesses, tests, documents, letters, photos, etc

30. To those who think Moms are always the best choice for kids:
Here in the Chicago area, we just had a Mom shoot and kill her three kids in the car. Dad was driving them all to the water park and Mom tells Dad to pull over to check the roof luggage rack. She shoots him and then turns around and shoots her three kids at point-blank range. Dad survived the shooting, the three kids are dead. The Mom then shoots herself in the head.
This comes after a Mom in Naperville killed her kids in their home while Dad was at work. The horrible thing is the damn courts seem to let these women off! Do you remember that bitch that strapped her kids in their car seats and pushed the car in to a lake? She stood their and watched them drown while listing to their cry's for help. All so her new boyfriend would like her because she no longer had kids. Can someone please explain why she is not on death row awaiting execution?
