Hoff's Ex Gets Dinner and Movie, But Just Barely

David HasselhoffTMZ has learned what went down with David Hasselhoff and ex-wife Pamela Bach Hasselhoff in court yesterday.

Hasselhoff won primary physical custody and sole legal custody of the former couple's two daughters. Sources day Pamela will have the kids from Friday to Sunday every other weekend. She could also have dinner with the kids Wednesday night, but that's it.

We're told the judge indicated he might be willing to change the ruling to a fifty-fifty split, but only if Bach attends anger management classes for a year and submits to drug and alcohol testing.

Sources tell TMZ a special master (a psychologist) appointed by the court interviewed the family extensively and determined that Pamela was abusive to her kids and refused to submit to drug and alcohol testing. The Hoff has voluntarily agreed to submit to alcohol testing.

So, the Hoff turned one of the messiest burger meals ever into a major courtroom victory.

46. Good for the Hoff, hope he stays sober, those girls will need him.

47. Pamela must have some very serious issues if she's got to attend anger management classes for an entire year before the judge is willing to alter custody. Those poor girls. The ramifications of having such an unstable and abusive mother could be devastating to them in adulthood.
My mother was similar. In my teens I had weekly counseling because she was considered "toxic" to me. We have no relationship today and that's fine with me.
I give Hoff kudos for stepping up about his drinking problem and doing all that he can for his daughters.

48. Leaking that video tape to the press was the single most harmful thing that Bach could have done for her case. I saw what the rest of the world saw - a very drunk man trying to eat a cheeseburger. And I heard what the rest of the world heard - a daughter without one iota of fear where her father was concerned. This girl was so clearly unafraid of her father during the taping of that video that Bach would have been better off shooting herself in the foot instead of trying to convince anyone that those girls were afraid of their father. Plus, they're 14 and 17 years old, for God's sake - if they love their dad at all, they can only feel hatred at their mother for releasing this video to the world. She really blew it.

49. Holey crap. He's the better choice? Poor kids. There isn't enough shrinks in the world to help these kids in the future.
But as a side note. I see that the Hass still counts, unlike brad the dad who didn't get but a few comments on his tmz article yesterday.
Sad when they don't realize they are over

50. I'm sure the mother in this case, like most mothers did everything for her daughters like cleaned and feed them when they were younger, and as they aged prepared them for women-hood with all the physical and social issues that entails.

Both Mom and Dad in this case have substance abuse issues, but Hoff was smart to submit to drug testing and the Mom scared if her test came back positive it would negate all the work she'd done as a mother for 17 years. Coupled with the fact that the children apparently, for whatever reason probably told the court that they preferred to live with their Dad, thus won the case for Hoff. However the judge was wrong to give Hoff both legal and physical custody as physical would have been enough; now the Mom is reduced to nanny status.

With that in mind, this Mom needs to start living life for herself again, and not allow herself to become a doormat to her children and her ex-husband. They can talk a lot of stuff in court, but I'm sure the children and Hoff expect the Mom to continue cooking (if she cooked), shop for the girls, hair and make-up issues, boyfriend issues, drive the younger one here and there, etc., and more importantly try to keep them out of trouble, but since the judge stripped her of all authority in the kid’s lives, the prospect that her children will respect her is not likely.

If I were the Mom I'd say: I fought for you over year, you sided with your father, that's your choice, but I've decided to start the life I would have began (after you both had gone to college) now. Being married to the Hoff she must have some money left, so sell the house and go live and do what you've always dreamed of doing. The kids are old enough to make their own decisions, and obviously they did so. I’d wish the kids luck, but they can fend for themselves. Mom, go lick your wounds and find some happiness elsewhere, and let the Hoff deal with the children’s teenage issues.

51. Pamela Bach is a wonderful person and a good mother and will have more time with her daughters and should have more time ...RIGHT AFTER SHE GETS HER HEAD SCREWED ON RIGHT , PASSES HER ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES, and puts down that nose candy, LOL!!!! It was SOOOOO obviosuly Pamela is good friends with Kim Basinger, LOL!!!
Pamela, something was not right in this case. Where is written instone the MOTHER must , by nature , have the children? It is not. Society needs to wake up and look at cases individually. Hopefully , Pamela Bach will get herself right, Dvaid will notfall off of the wagon and both parents, for their kids sake, will mesh their lives, come together and act with sense and dignity.

52. Well, as you may have noticed (from my many posts on this subject) I feel I've been done wrong. I AM A GOOD DAD. So what if I like to look at little girls naked? I think I should have gotten custody over my rotten goody two-shoes ex. Everytime I hit her she had it coming...she just couldn't keep her mouth shut. And I lose custody? what has this world come too?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Lucille your post was a rambling indictment of the judge and hoff

you made some good points right after making a stupid one...you think the mom was 'wronged' when in fact she was the one IN the wrong....just asaa previous post had said...the release of the video tape of a clearly drunken hoff by his daughter who was clearly not afraid ( had no reason to be) and shot it to HELP her dad to show him when sober.....was clearly a devious and futile last attempt to smear Hoff

this mom was ' no mother' if she had one ounce of dignity or respect for her kids she should never have released that tape aka kim basinger...it did far more harm to not only her kids but to herself.....mom has only herself to blame

57. I don't get the people bashing Opri over this. If the mother has any type of history of alcohol and/or drug abuse, and then refuses testing, it is a no-brainer on what is going to happen.

I don't see that as being an attorney issue. You could have the best attorney in the land or the worse, and they couldn't save you from a stupid maneuver like that.

59. To 61 And Justice for All:
Often times the courts don’t understand or acknowledge what the family is going through, or some judges can be one-sided and not fair. The Mom wanted the world to see what she and the girls were dealing with. The Mom alleged physical and verbal abuse and know doubt it occurred while Hoff was in one of his drunken states. It’s a poor excuse by a judge to take legal custody from this Mom because whatever she may or may have not been doing, apparently no one has alleged that she was so high that she did not conduct the business of being Mom, the contention is that she would become angry and verbally abusive. So when Hoff goes on a drinking binge, and the children need help, who do you think they’ll going to call? But now that the Mom has been legally stripped of any authority over her children, if they call her there is very little she can do.
Yet with all of this the kids choose Hoff, so after fighting for them for over a year and losing, she’s entitled to take her anger management classes, for her own benefit, then move on with her life and let the three of them deal on their on. I hope she decides to move out of California, their 15 and 17 good or bad she’s done her job.
