33. Mommy Dearest:

1. her mom brought cams into a rehab facility that must adhere to HIPPA privacy laws, plus the anonymity guaranteed to other 'patients' in the facility...her mom is subject to civil suit. duh. lindsay could give a crap whether her mom has media attention or not; any attention her family gets is publicity for her, good or bad.

2. her mom skirted a custody hearing in NY by deciding - after Lindsays attorneys dropped her off at rehab (again) - to take that particular period of time to go to CA, on the presumption that she was being a dutiful parent...considering that her daughter had to focus on detoxing & rehabbing, privately, it was not an appropriate time to visit her...waiting until she got out would've been appropriate.

3. lets see...being in NY to attend (with adequate prior notice) a custody hearing that determines the future of your 3 minor children (& your estranged husband is just out of the clinker himself so who watched the 3 kids then) vs. "visiting" with an adult offspring that is (or should've been) off-limits with visitors until they detoxed, across the country in CA...hmmmmmm. which would a normal Mom pick. Lohan Mom picked CA over NY.

More talent in this girl's little finger than in 98% of all performers combined... we as a community need to for once in our lives...stop watching "stars" kill themselves and step up and do something about this. I don't live in LA...but I can promise you plenty of people saw Paris, Nicole, or Lindsay get behind the wheel of a car when they shouldn't have...and they all stood by and watched...get off your asses and get involved..and that doesn't mean letting them drive off so you can hopefully catch an accident on your cell phone camera.

Paris is the hot topic now but pretty soon,
both Paris and Lindsay are gonna be on the loose.

Paris is gonna be a bit slapped down after her experience
but Lindsay is like someone preparing for a Championship Fight.

I think she'll be a lot wiser about camoflaging her wild partying.

FORTUNATELY, SHE WAS MY WITNESS AND THE OAK HAD TO PAY DAMAGES.

39. Agree with knucklehead. Any other time, these brats have " their people" handle everything. Didn't Paris blame them for telling her she could drive, "I just sign what they tell me", etc., etc. Lindsay has enough dough that she could get anyone to meet her at her rehab resort to take care of anything. Lawyers travel, bankers travel, brokers travel, notaries travel, etc. etc. Just another excuse. Ain't gonna change.

It's not like rural Montana.

Whether it's the wee hours or the afternoon, Sunset Bl & Robertson Bl, where these women drink, drug, & drive, are very very congested. In fact, the LAPD back things up by towing all the cars parked along Sunset after 12 midnite Sat & Sun, & operate checkpoints.

The streets that parisite drove on to allegedly go to the In 'N Out Burger joint were not at all desolate at the wee hours of the am...lots of other drivers were out & about.

The sheriffs have seen these people drink & drive plenty of times before they finally stop them. It's not the public's responsibility or the paps, ultimately. Law enforcement are well-aware of what's going on & by whom.

Again, it wasn't Montana.

41. You know, I'm really sick of hearing from people snarking at those in rehab when they've obviously never been there themselves. Recovery is hard enough without constant demands for "how are you doing," which is what any public figure faces upon leaving the cocoon of rehab.

It's a very hard thing to turn your life around, especially when those around you keep making moral judgments. Addiction is not a moral issue. The bad decisions that lead to it may be, but by the time behavior leads to the problems this woman -- or any addict -- encountered, it's passed beyond the stage of willpower.

I don't care how "nice" the place may be, the demons are very real.

So blast away. The box you create for her is really only the one you have to live in yourself. Good luck with that.

2 bad so sad, we disagree...maybe we can agree 2 disagree.

The tree is public property not on her personal property. Yes, she did have to report it; she abandoned her vehicle on an LA Co. road. Also, she's responsible for whatever is contained within that vehicle, whether she likes it or not...claiming ignorance is not a defense. She fled from the scene of a vehicular accident due to being impaired in order to avoid an incriminating booze test, the avoidance of which is a crime.
