Sizemore Begs, Pleads, Cries: "I Don't Want to Go to Jail!"

Tom SizemoreA weeping Tom Sizemore appeared in a Los Angeles County Courtroom today where he admitted to violating his probation in a 2004 methamphetamine conviction.

Sizemore was brought into the courtroom in a jail-issued orange jumpsuit, wearing handcuffs, where he waited for a judge to hear the case. The judge asked Sizemore, "Do you agree you are in violation of your probation?" Tom replied, "Yes, your honor." The judge made her findings clear, telling the "Black Hawk Down" star, "Probation is a privilege ... Tom is not a matter of probation anymore because he has abused that privilege."

Sizemore openly wept in court, begging the judge, "I don't want to go to jail ... give me one more chance ... I have a terrible disease ... drugs have strapped me around the neck ... I guarantee I am not going to be here again! I want to rehabilitate myself and become a good productive citizen to society."

Tom's brother Paul and girlfriend were present in court for today's hearing. Sizemore was arrested last month in Bakersfield on suspicion of various drug charges, including methamphetamine possession. He is due back in court Monday, June 25 to hear his fate.

31. Stay strong Tom. Meth simply tears people down to the core and recovering from that after a long period of abuse is extremely extremely difficult. And for your own good Tom if you don't go to jail I believe you should check into the longest period of rehab possible. I support your efforts if you do so and would love to see you again in more hollywood movies (maybe do a serious oscar level movie about someone's life and family being torn apart from meth...). Get past this low period of your life, learn from it, move on and maybe help others after that along the way. Godspeed... (and a note to people in general: some times when you see people going through crisis they have pain on the inside...it's not always just what appears on the simple surface...)

32. Why in the world would a person ever try drugs in the first place when they know damn good and well they could very well become addicted. Just can't have any sympathy for anyone that makes the decision to do that! Make the choice, pay the price.

Would you stick your hand in a basket containing a cobra thinking you're the exception and the thing wouldn't bite you? Always think of the consequences of every choice you make. There are no second chances. Don't be a dumb ass!

34. i have known a lot of people in his position and i feel sympathy for him. meth has the highest relapse rate of any of the drugs around now, and unfortunately for him, most rehab is voluntary and too easy to walk away from. Jail may be the only thing that saves him and gets him away from it long enough to start the recovery process. i picture martin sheen in tears as he told the judge all that charlie had done to lose his probation. you could tell it was killing him to do it, but he felt it was all he could do to save his life. best wishes to Tom, he is in my thoughts, as are all the people in the grasp of this demon

35. If Mr Sizemore does not want to go to jail maybe he should stop breaking the law, stop doing drugs. He get's what he deserves.

36. Paris didn't want to go to jail either, and he's a drug addict, he should definitely go to jail.
No tears here....

37. Anyone here simply slamming Tom (and people in general) that are going through a drug crisis (especially with meth) simply have not actually seen hands-on what this drug does to people nor do they understand it's appeal. Meth makes you feel like superman/superwoman and you can do anything and everything...but eventually it ends up dragging you down, tearing you apart (and your family) and by that time it is too late...and you then need it just to keep going...the concept of quitting is very scary to people at this point. This is not a celebrity partying and acting wild...this is a person with serious problems (big difference.) So you people slamming Tom and "drug users" need to understand what's going on here and realize you have lead a sheltered life. I have a family member that is in this meth-driven downward spiral and has cut off all contact with her family and children (which I am taking care of now.) She used to be a normal respectable productive person (was a top level veteran court reporter) and used to care about her family and children...that is all gone now. She is so deep into it and disappears for months at a time and will not get help. I have accepted that eventually I may get a phone call that she is dead and I hate the thought of having to tell the children.

38. Didn't he cry once before in court, and then LOL about it out in the parking lot?
Either way, jail is not the solution, so he is right about that. I cried a lot on his TV show too.

39. The man needs medical care for his addiction Jail time wont do anything to help him. Get real people.

40. Mr. Sizemore has a disease he knows that. In the past I think he has tried to get help and it did not work. I think this time it might because he may have hit bottom . I think he knows that needs to go to meetings to learn how to live without the drugs. Its not going to be easy. He has to begin some where. I think he is a gifted actor and I would not like to hear of his death. I dont think someone like him should go to jail. He need one more chance. I will pray for him.

41. He should be put into a long term rehab program "outside" of his party zone (Calif). Then he should have to do double time if he fails the program, weekly drug testing or probation/parole again.
I dont belive much a drug addict says in court, They will say anything to get out of the situration and back to drugs.
On a scale 1 - 10 Tom is 9 and half for failure. I'd love to be proved wrong.

42. Hi Kim Stewart here, I got some coke. Wanna party after you get probation?

43. He needs to be punished sorry. If I were the judge I would be thinking (WHEN TOM SIZEMORE IS IN COURT CRYING) Is he acting?

44. He'll be court ordered to rehab. Usually when you violate probation the first time you get your probation extended but this guy needs help.

Posted at 12:10AM on Jun 20th 2007 by Be happy you're not an addict

45. Hope they lock him up for a long time. We'll see just how serious he is about rehabing himself. He's an addict - of course he doesn't want to go to jail - DUH. Enough blubbering already - be a big boy and do the time. This is what you chose for yourself, dude - now be a man, stop whimpering and go to jail. I hope the Judge throws the book at you. You've totally earned her contempt.
