Celebrity Justice
Craven to Pauly: You're a Nightmare on My Street

Wes Craven has sued Pauly Shore for allegedly causing a honkin' landslide on his property and screwing with his head.

In a lawsuit obtained by TMZ and filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Craven says Pauly, his neighbor, slacked off in keeping up his yard, pool, spa, sprinklers, irrigation, swales, downspouts and slopes. As a result, Craven claims "water from the Shore Property intruded and infiltrated the Craven Property causing a slope failure/landslide" in December, 2006.

Craven, who caused millions to cringe in a string of horror movies, claims he "suffered and will continue to suffer severe emotional distress and anxiety..." Touche!

Craven is seeking unspecified damages.

A call to Pauly's rep was not immediately returned.

23. Maybe Wes Craven is running out of story lines and wants tp start a real life horror with the funny man Pauly Shore, or maybe he finally went off the deep end. The rich want to
get richer.

24. #11 you only need a permit if your building a new pool and newer pools Reg do have precautions and arrangements in place to avoid landslides and other problems like this. The problem is older homes with pool don't have to follow these rules.

Most older homes will have there pools right up to the property lines to max the size of pools they could fit .

So I've been the pool service industry for 4 years so I've heard of this kind of stuff happening. What probably happened was Pauly's Pool Filter started leaking and drained back onto Craven's retaining wall which would cause it to lean. According to the papers Craven saw this got "stressed out" and most likley asked Pauly to fix the leak. Depending on the size of the leak the whole thing could happen in days.

Craven can't fix the wall unless the Leak stops. Becuase the ground would still be wet and would just come down again. . A new wall could cost any ware between $25-$25 000 depending on the stone used.

I feel bad for Craven because he really was powerless in the situation. It's as if the Apartment above yours was flooding and the water was leaking into your place. There is nothing you could do by sit there and wait until it stopped to clean up your floor.

25. If Pauly is at fault then he should be sued. Everyone has a right to protect their property, rich or poor.

26. Damn. Maybe I need to move to LaLa Land. The frivilous lawsuits that are filed there would never have a leg to stand on anywhere I've ever lived. I'm beginning to believe I could be rich over somebody's dog peeing on my yard!!!!!!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! I just don't get it. And we wonder why we're over taxed, why real criminals (OJ, et al) walk the streets and why judgement awards are so absurd!! Look at any phone book in the country. The most expensive ads are the full page ads and ESPECIALLY the inside and back pages of the phone book. OH, and btw, color is usually double the price of black and white. Just look at any phone book in the country and count the number of ads for attorneys and where they're placed in the phone books. Then add that to the number of the TV and radio ads they produce. Does any layman have any idea what those ads cost???? Attorneys advertise all over the country and in every form. Just look at all the 800 numbers listed under the names from all the advertisements that ALSO run a tag underneath stating in which states they are and aren't allowed to practice. The law was once an honerable profession. Now lawyers have been relegated to the status of street walkers. Anything for a buck. And it's our own fault for allowing so many loopholes in our constitution to let it happen. Greed is going to be the ruin of us one of these days and I personally believe there will be a special place in hell for those who frivously sue and those who represent them.

27. Most likely he can barely make the mortgage payments. The first to go is the gardeners, then the house. Some actors way over buy when they are making the bucks.
