Could a Baby Keep Richie Out of the Pokey?

With pregnancy rumors running every which way, Nicole Richie and borefriend Joel Madden added fuel to the baby blabber fire. TMZ spies saw them purchase a $300 Born Out of Necessity chic leather diaper bag at Bel-Bambini baby boutique on Thursday. But even if she's not pregnant, Richie might want to consider getting knocked up real soon -- it might save her from following in Paris' shackled footsteps.

With her DUI trial set to begin on July 11, what judge in his right mind would send a pregnant waif to the slammer?! Oh the humanity! If she's found guilty, Wrongway Richie will spend a minimum of five days in jail, with the possibility of up to a year behind bars -- and we're not talkin' Hyde!

Anyone know of a good prison daycare?

16. Who could ask for a better role model as a Mother? 89 pounds, uneducated, vicodine popping (not mispelled, as well as methadon spelled methadone), addict, alcoholic, and a reallllllllllly BAD driver. 'Cos she's HIGH all of the time. I'm sur my daughter's would love her as a Mum.
This country is upside down, you have to wear a seatbelt, you can't smoke a cigarette, you don't need a subpoena to tap someone's phone and this moron may be pregnant!
Put her in jail, take the baby at birth and let a deserving, loving, capable couple raise him/her.

20. If Nicole really is pregnant, I don't think that baby's going to survive until it's full term. Nicole is so emaciated and unhealthy that the baby won't develop properly or get the necessary nourishment. She's not emotionally healthy enough to bring a child into this world, either. Until she gets her eating disorders under control, pregnancy is a very, very bad idea. Either way, it shouldn't keep her out of jail...there are plenty of pregnant women incarcerated who receive adequate pre-natal care in jail. Get you own life together, Nicole, before you decide to create another one!

24. There is no way that Nicole could carry a baby to term....let alone be able to handle the responsibility of raising a child. Truthfully, i believe she isnt pregnant....she reads these posts and is laughing at all of our speculation. Buying a diaper bag so that the public can continue to think that she is pregnant....PULEEZE....there is no way she could get pregnant...just look at her!! And Brink....shut up about her "angelic features"....you make me want to barf.
