Moore Pleads No Contest -- He Ain't No Hilton

Shemar Moore has just copped a plea, the same morning he was charged with three criminal misdemeanors.

TMZ has learned that shortly after the L.A. City Attorney filed the charges, Moore's super lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, entered the very courtroom where Paris Hilton was nailed. Chapman Holley appeared before Judge Michael Sauer and entered a no-contest plea to Exhibition of Speed. The two DUI charges were dismissed.

As for sentencing, Moore did a hell of a lot better than Hilton. He was given 36 months probation and fined around $1400. He was also ordered to do community service.

17. Can we all please get with the program, and accept the fact that Paris Hilton DID NOT go to jail for drunk driving. Paris Hilton went to jail for her THIRD PROBATION VIOLATION. People really need to get this through their heads.

Paris violated the terms of her probation THREE TIMES and as a result, was sent to jail just like ANYONE ELSE would who VIOLATED THEIR PROBATION THREE TIMES.

Can we all please stop saying that Paris went to jail for drunk driving, and stop comparing her sentence to others? IT WAS A PROBATION VIOLATION, PEOPLE. And her THIRD at that. That's what happens when you disregard the law THREE TIMES.

I agree. Paris was also offered community service and turned it down.
TMZ is wanting a special photo shoot with Paris I think.
There is way to much silly non factual favoritism.

20. Shemar Moore is an adult. An adult takes responsibility for their actions. BRAVO!
Children make excuses and have temper tantrums...Paris Hilton.

23. I don't even know who this guy is but he didn't get a better deal than Paris. She received probation and a fine to start with but of course Miss I'm Better Than Every One Else violated her probation. That's why she's in time out right now.

24. Just don't mess up like Hilton and mess up your probation. That is a privlage.

25. This judge is very gay (only women need be afraid) and has a thing for the Young & Restless actor. It's no wonder his two DUI's were dismissed.

26. You're right #13, looks like TMZ is not telling the WHOLE story. That's why people get confused and spread the lies, instead of regurgitating fact!

27. What?!?!?!? A grown-up in Hollywood?!?!?! Say it ain't so!!! Great, now everyone will be expected to act like an adult. Now what will TMZ do with their time?

29. 3. Hold it
Paris was given probation, fined suspended license and classes.
He didn't get off too much different from her. Maybe he was given that because he didn't waste the court's time with BS excuses.

THANK YOU GREYHAWK....TMZ is really showing their bias on this Paris bit. I am wondering what is up with Harvey Levin and his reputation for trying to be honest and fair with celeb news/gossip. Shemar's sentencing was just like Paris's, but the difference is that HE will not likely feel that it doesn't apply to him and he will do what he is supposed to do. He will handle his business like an adult. Paris didn't. What the heck is up with TMZ that they INSIST on acting as if they don't know that part? And then continually putting it out incorrectly as if they say it enough the truth will drown in their sea of lies and intentional misinformation.

I guess Harvey Levin is to join the ranks of Perez Hilton and the Dorothy Lucey's (but I still like Dorothy).
