NBC Has Secret Code for Paris Interview

It does indeed look like Paris & family have inked a deal with NBC. TMZ has learned the NBC bureau in Burbank has been put on alert for a "possible Paris interview" and the project is so secret, it has a code name -- ROME!!!
Paris, Code Name: Rome
Sources say the camera staff, production assistants and others have been told the interview will be conducted by Meredith Vieira sometime next week and will air on "Today."

The buzz is -- NBC paid a cool mil for the sit-down. NBC rules prohibit paying for interviews, so our sources say the party line is that the network is paying for videos.

91. NBC AND MSNBC ARE OUT FOR US. I don't watch ET when they paid Howard, never going to see NBC or their affiliates again. It's too bad, but paid trysts like this, manufactured publicity from a rich lady whose simply that.. nothing more.. to make her richer, is just bad press. She drove without head and tail lights gonig 70 MPH and she was drunk more than once. Enough!! That's the same studio off the Bob Hope turnoff in Burbank where some of their own would have been killed going on the ramp when Nicole Richie drove with drugs and pills the wrong way. NBC SHOULD BE ASHAMED. I'm done with you.

93. As if she doesn't have enough money!!!!!!! If I happen to be watching TV and she pops up on that NBC interview, I plan to immediately switch stations. They should not give her the time of day, let alone any money. Their money could be better spent on some other well deserving DECENT person or family that is down on their luck and in need, not glorifying an arrogant wealthy spoiled attention seeking young woman. She should not be rewarded monitarily for her wrongdoing!

Afraid you don't get it:

1) Many of us who dislike what Hiton represents do not "hate her."
2) The fact that she chose jail rather than the appeal surprises no one; to have done otherwise would have landed her "career" in the shredder.
3) The fact that she would get an interivew after jail surprises no one; neither does the compensation -- be it for videos, or whatever -- it just makes people dislike her that much more.
4) Also, the fact that she'll have to turn over a portion of her earnings to the "charity of her choice" is also no surprise. She was actually "shamed" into this by many people, who criticized her for not doing so earlier. It's just another PR move.
5) Those 20 crates of "fan mail" were not fall fan mail -- trust me. They were described as "fan mail" for PR purposes.

So, Paris indeed "does not have the last laugh." It's just business as usual, with her falling out of favor with public opinion even more.

98. Hooray for Paris! $1,000, 000.00 from NBC is not enough. Say, when is Mrs Rocky (Michelle D.) wife of the City Attorney who started this whole thing, going to jail? According to AP Mrs. D. has a $2000.00 un-served warrant out for her arrest for leaving the scene of an accident whie driving a CITY vehicle, driving on a SUSPENDED license (shame on her) and driving with no insurance and driving with no registration. Oh well, I guess its always the same old story where LA Politics are concerned: R.H.I.P!
