Celebrity Justice
NBC to TMZ -- How Dare You!

A rep with NBC told TMZ there was never anything to kill, because they never sealed the deal on a Paris interview.

Allison Gollust, Senior VP of NBC News Communications, told TMZ, "There's nothing to pull the plug on because we never committed to this."

But here's the deal. TMZ knows a producer was already assigned to the interview, which was supposed to air on "Today." Multiple sources tell us that camera people and associate producers were told to be ready, and that the piece would be shot in L.A. and edited in New York.

As TMZ first reported, honchos at the net told selected staffers today that the interview was dead. To that, Gollust said, "It can't be dead if it was never alive to begin with."

31. Harvey, Give it a break, always making trouble. Dont try to mess with NBC. All you Media people pay thru lawyers or 3rd party. ET did it with HKS. Your a Media whore yourself. Remember when you were all over HKS, the headlines were negative, now you kiss his ass!

Harvey report some real news for once, like why HKS or DR E has not been arrested for prescriptions with death resulting.........be a man.

33. SMART MOVE FOR BOTH PARIS AND NBC. WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE RIGHT THING TO DO, MAYBE IN THE FUTURE WHEN SHE IS OUT OF JAIL AND ON HER WAY TO BETTER DAYS...

PARIS,

I THINK YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING. IF THE MONEY WOULD
BE SPENT ON THE CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE I THINK THINGS WOULD
HAVE GONE BETTER FOR THE INTERVIEW TO TAKE PLACE.

THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST TIME WE SEE YOU THOUGH THE MEDIA.
I THINK THAT FOR WHAT EVER REASON THE INTERVIEW WAS CANCELLED, IS THE BEST THING FOR YOU. IT WAS TOTALLY UNREASONABLE FOR YOU TO COME OUT OF JAIL AND JUMP RIGHT INTO AN INTERVIEW. YOU HAVE JUST BEEN THROUGH AN ORDEAL, AND IT SEEMS THAT YOU NOW HAVE TO ADJUST TO BEING BACK AT HOME, AND FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO NEXT.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO JUMP AT EVERY INTERVIEW. MAYBE YOUR NEXT INTERVIEW COULD BE ABOUT WHAT CHARITY YOU ARE ACTUALLY WORKING WITH.
SIGHN A DEAL WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE, CLEAR YOUR HEAD OUT AND THEN INTERVIEW ABOUT THE PROJECTS YOU ARE DOING.

I ALSO WANTED TO SAY THAT IF YOU DO AN INTERVIEW WITH PEOPLE MAGAZINE, YOU SHOULD DONATE THE MONEY TO CHARITY. THAT WOULD BE A REALLY GOOD THING BECAUSE IT WILL SHOW PEOPLE THAT YOU HAVE CHANGED, AND THAT MONEY DOESN'T MEAN EVERYTHING TO YOU. BEST THAT YOU CAN HAVE AN IDEA OF WHO YOU ARE BEFORE YOU COME BACK OUT SWINGING IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS. LOOK AT ME AGAIN, HERE I AM!

DO SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY, BUT SOMETHING THAT IS GOOD FOR YOUR FUTURE AND DON'T LET THE WRONG INTERVIEWS CHANGE YOUR NEW IMAGE.
TAKING THE INTERVIEW FOR NBC WITH RUMORS THAT THEY WERE OFFERING 1MILLION AND YOU DIDN'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE A STATEMENT THAT IT WOULD BE FOR CHARITY WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO. THAT IS WHY I THINK SO MUCH NEGATIVETY HAS BEEN PLACED ON THIS INTERVIEW WITH NBC.

I SUGGEST THAT THE $300,000 DOLLAR INTERVIEW WITH PEOPLE
ALSO BE DONATED TO CHARITY.

ALL THE BEST…

34. Hell yeah they ditched it. People like me sent nasty emails and told them that she'd be profiting off her crime.

35. Natalie Morales should have handled the interview, Meredith's interviews are often painful to listen to & you never know what will come out of her mouth. You get more stuck on her then the person she interviews. They should start to break Natalie in to carry the show with Matt more often & mix it up. Lately Al looks like he can jump out of his skin when Meredith adds her stupid ad libs and trys to backstroke.

36. NBC trying to cover up their wanting to get the scoop interview and for $1M is ridiculous. But then considering they fired Imus, I'm not exactly shocked. Wonder how much they paid the princes to do their interview with Lauer? NBD if the interview falls through, since Veiera is not the smartest or best TV interviewer. Poor ABC, scooped by their competitor.

37. Not that I believe NBC but I also NEVER trust TMZ - why because TMZ has been and is nothing but a rag. Why would you people believe a rag who in all cases puts stuff on the their site using photoshop to make people look bad? TMZ has not shown any morals in their posts and the worse part - they hide who their reporters are.

If you are not a rag then why not post the authors name of your stupid rag pieces?

So TMZ just because you are knocking NBC on this I am going to say YOU MADE UP THE STORY and are the ONES caught with your pants downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

TMZ stands for the The Might Zitty liars.

40. Do you think NBC figured out that no one really cares? Most of us would like for Paris Hilton to just fade into black...

41. Frankly, TMZ has always gotten it right!
I will certainly watch the interview......but be SO happy she is out of jail and FREE AT LAST!
FREE PARIS
And NO I'm not pickled in the desert........you have no clue as to where I'm at or who I am. So..................shut up!
FREE PARIS

42. "There's nothing to pull?"
These lying NBC weasels still don't understand that they will be caught every time they lie to us.
Here's the truth: they were ready to pay money for a Hilton intereview. They were doing it for ratings. They were hoping they wouldn't get caught (again).

43. Paris has enought money to get by in life. Why a million? I sure could use some money from NBC so I can get by in life (food, education, my car is a oldy wreck and I like to fix up), since they throw it around to the wealthy people, why not in my direction.
