32. The reason is that they don't want any more bad press (both of them) for paying for the interview or accepting that pay. Probably Barbara Walters will get it. Paris doesn't need that money! Not worth the ordeal. I would think she would want to stay home with her family and mend her soul? She will be overly scrutinized when she does head out for some nite life. She's also most likely so skinny it's scary.........

33. NBC buckled under the negative reporting by CNN and the other jealous networks.

34. Thank goodness. This ill-bred, new money, cretin is getting too much attention. Our culture has just reached the lowest common denominator. I remember when my grandmother was upset when an actor moved into her Marblehead neighborhood because they were considered...well, gauche. Please, let's celebrate the true artists of our day. The ones with some class for god's sake. This Paris creature has none.

41. Obviously this is a very smart move on NBC to pull the plug on this interview. What were they thinking in the first place paying Paris Hilton a million dollars to do an interview? Paris Hilton is not news and The Today Show is sinking faster than the Titanic. The Today Show was once a show I enjoyed BUT now if you don't catch the first 15 minutes you miss the news and then you have "Entertainment Today". Oh, and let'ts not forget all their commercial during a morning new program. There are double the amount of commercials during The Today Show then there are during night Prime time shows.

45. The whole sordid episode exposed the soft underbelly of the Today show. They will do ANYTHING for ratings & miscalculated. Pay for play repulsed their viewers. Were they not paying attention to the whole "If I Did It" fiasco???
