91. NBC is squirming out of it now. Mr Hilton has beeen forthright, stating he wanted the best price. Guess ABC and Barbara Walter's will be asked to poney up now. Time will tell, like it did when Barbara spent weeks saying how she was a close family friend to the Hiltons. And bang no interview. It was simply money, money. Barb may have to step back and see what will be best for her image. She has really sold out a big portion of her reputation this past month.
Both the Hiltons and Barbara have been seeking a pay day with Paris. With family and friends like that poor paris. If she is really in recovery and in a compromised emotional state, u would think those who state they care would show it..

92. And all that 'elite-exclusive' money and redeeming publicity the family planned on went to hell in another empty handbag! Paris must be feeling awful, weeping and shaking so badly in her little jail cell now! NBC is simply dismayed by the leak, er, erroneous story and doing everything to distance itself from this self-beleaguered brat and her crazy under siege in difficulties financially harassed family., har har.

93. I am glad. NBC needs to act more professionally. + Paris being paid that kind of money........ to tell us all, she has changed and we're so stupid, she thinks the public will believe her and her family.I think the poor girl really needs some help, but we are all sick to death of hearing about her life.........

94. GOOD, DO NOT COMPENSATE HER FOR DRUNK DRIVING.

95. Awwwww! And I'm sure she felt so special, thinking she was worth 1 million dollars for an interview. If she has changed sooo much, like she says she has, then she would have donated the million dollars to charity. Plenty of other celebrities donate to charities, why couldnt she? Now I wont have to boycott NBC.

97. If NBC, ABC, and other media outlets, along w/ Barbara Walters truely cared, there would be no interview. They would be helping Paris through her spiritual journey, recovery, and detox from medications related to her ADD and current stated diagnosis'. How could they pay Paris and reward her for bad behavior? How can people not see that irony?. Not illegal but unethical to reward negative behavior. DUI or whatever the violations = payoff.

We knew it was a fraud. How could a family speak of spiritual journey one week, and a pay day the next. Barbara Walters has been right in there, showcasing her "friendship" and c"close family ties" and underscoring the spiritual journey. While seeking an intervieww for ABC and hawking it on The View and her radio show. It has been geat for Barbara's tv ratings. Like we could not see it all. The arrogance is not surprising.

98. Good Going NBC!!!!! I E-mailed NBC yesterday , and told them if they Supported a Drunk Driver on their Station I will Never tune into NBC again. I am sure I was not the only one ,the response was that they recieved 100's of E-mails. This TWIT does not deserve to make a Single Penny off of her so called "Jail Time". I WILL Boycot ANYONE that gives her any Air-Time. If enough People let their Feelings be known about it, No Respectful Journalist will give her the Satisfaction of being heard. NO ONE wants to hear this Little Skank talk about how "I've Changed"and "I've Found God". She just spews Garbage and I hope when she gets out she just Disappears into Thin Air. She is Soooo not a Role Model for anyone but Ignorant , Stupid People ( and a couple of youngsters)!!!!!!

Paris Has Kin in the Clink

ALL IN THE FAMILY Hilton's auntParis Hilton, meet Elizabeth Avanzino: She's 35, an alcoholic, a drug addict, and a prostitute. She's also your aunt. As today's New York Post explains, Avanzino, who's been in and out of prison five times on various lifestyle-related charges, has some jail-related advice for Paris and wants to "connect" with the dim-witted heiress before she heads to prison for violating the terms of her DUI probation.
Avanzino's father, Larry Avanzino, is Kathy Hilton's biological father, which makes her Paris's half aunt. (Kathy struck gold when she married hotel scion Rick Hilton.) In an attempt to contact Paris, Avanzino sent a letter to the Post from the Dorothea Dix Women's Prison in Cranston, Rhode Island, asking the paper to put her in contact with the future jailbird so that she could "lend a supportive role to Paris and let her realize everyone is capable of making mistakes." The Post went ahead and printed the letter, even going so far as to hunt down Avanzino "in a seedy parking lot holding a red cup and reeking of booze as potential johns milled about" in Providence.

Though it seems unlikely that Paris and her aunt will be come fast friends, the two will have ample opportunity to be prison pen pals: Paris's 23-day sentence in a "special needs" unit of a Lynwood, California, detention facility begins on June 5; Avanzino may be headed back to prison for failing to check in at a court-ordered halfway house.

100. Contrary to conventional wisdom,Paris and Nicky are actually cash poor.

Paris is not the heiress everyone thinks she is. She's out there hustling to live the Hilton lifestyle because she's NOT going to be left hundreds of millions of dollars.

Most of that money is going to the Hilton foundation.

103. I think many GE stockholders wrote and let the company know how unhappy we were that they were even considering such a ridiculous notion. Heads at NBC should roll over this snafu. Does anyone really care what this half wit, spoiled brat has to say? Over the last month I believe it's been shown that she really doesn't matter to anyone besides her family and we would like her to go away from the public eye forever. Her 15 minutes are way past overdue.

104. If the Hiltons need money they should all get jobs.
Larry Birthoff got paid but not for breaking a law. His saga was equally as stupid, insignificant and unimportant.

If any redeeming factor comes out of the Paris saga, some light has been shed on Hollywood. We got a look at the faults in the California justice system, some publicity for the crisis of driving while impaired, and the underpinnings of those famous for doing nothing. If any of that counts for anything, than it was not a total waste of time. Personally, I did not need Paris, her parents, or Barbara underscoring what was already a given. Bottomline: Thankfully, there is life outside Hollywood.
