16. Demanding child support is not "getting even" or getting revenge. You must be mentally challenged, because your comments don't suggest anything but that. Revenge my ass. Child support helps us raise the babies that we (being us AND the father) made...regardless of marital status, both parties are responslible...Unfortunately alot of times the fathers don't want to be "bothered", so we do all the work...that "revenge", helps us pay for groceries, school clothes, medicine, and general care of the child. 17. Eddie, I am truely counting on you to step up to the plate and do the right thing. She is your sweet baby girl. She needs to know who her Daddy is even if the circumstances are not favorable. Children are a gift and God does not make mistakes. I know you have a good heart. Its time to use it right now. Give her a better start in life and let her know she is loved. It's is to late to say you looked forward to her birth but you can say she has become a pleasant surpiise.

18. While I agree that Eddie should take ownership of what he has done, we also must remember that Mel B is NOT some poor pauper living in Compton. She was part of a multi-gazzilion dollar pop group. The Spice Girls may not have been around that long, and Mel's solo career has bombed, but the Spice Girls made tens of millions of dollars. Now I am hearing that all five Spice Girls are reportedly getting 20 million dollars EACH for a major comback tour and greatest hits album later this year. So yes, Eddie should pay some child support, but come on, Mel B is a very rich woman in her own right. And the person who was blabbing on about marriage...get a life! You still believe that the institution of marriage is going to stop people from being miserable or stop a partner from cheating or whatever? I know people who grew up in miserable homes because their parents fought all the time. Marriage means nothing. It never really meant anything to begin with; it's was and is just a ceremony so two people can merge assets. It has nothing to do with true love people have for one another.

20. #16, I totally agree with you, well said. Everytime I hear someone say this is the 21st century, It really means it's okay because values are so low that almost anything goes. And don't forget these people believe that abortion is birth control. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears are the examples of todays young women so if can, do. Eddie Murphy is just another man who just let it all hang out, remember this is the 21st century!!!!

29. Eddie owes her a public appology for treating her like she was trash at the bottom of his foot. He treated her like a money grubbing liar - as if the child couldn't possibly be his. He's an asshole. Hope he has to pay out the nose re: child support.

30. Some of the comments are just plain stupid. Has nothing to do with being wed or not as I can tell you from my days working in the Marion County Child support division there are more MARRIED woman that get screwed in terms of support then unmarried mothers I'd say almost 5 to 1, lol. As far as an unmarried woman not having a legal leg to stand on that is really untrue according to most laws every child has a legal mother and a legal father no matter if she's married or has to obtain a court order the child had legal parents. Bad father came in all races, shapes, and martial staus. Futhermore not everyone wants to be married so to assume that makes you better person because you've married somehow is a little sad cause on judgment day their are going to be more people who go to church every Sunday going to hell then people that don't.
