Benoit Murder Details Revealed

TMZ has learned more about the deaths of WWE wrestling superstar Chris Benoit, his wife and son -- and the information is extremely disturbing.

Several Atlanta-based law enforcement sources have told TMZ Benoit may have strangled his wife on Saturday, then smothered his son in his bed a day later. Investigators refuse to officially comment, pending final confirmation by the coroner on the cause and time of the deaths.

One source told TMZ that Benoit was texting friends during Sunday's WWE "Vengeance" Pay-Per-View program -- possibly watching the show with his son, who may have been alive at the time.

According to sources, Benoit then hanged himself Monday in a weight room inside the family home.

A police investigation is ongoing.

Are you freaking kidding me? This bastard KILLED his wife and son!

Get a grip on reality people. Stop hanging on to the t.v character that you loved. This man is nothing but a killer, the sad part is his need to take his family down with him. The world would have been better off if he had just hanged himself first.

I was thinking the same thing. Didn't the wife's ex have it out for Chris?! this whole thing is one messed up tragedy. I hope the real answers come out not the answers from "unofficial sources:"

101. Already the WWE website is starting to alienate itself with Benoit by removing his bio, merchandise, etc. and replacing them with other WWE-related content.

#27: The tribute show was done before new details emerged and now WWE is planning to do generic shows for the week that will not be dedicated to Benoit or reference McMahon's storylined death.

HE KILLED HIS WIFE (MAYBE BY ACCIDENT) AND REALIZED THAT HE JUST RUINED HIS SON'S LIFE, SO HE KILLED HIM TOO, 'FOR HIS OWN GOOD'.
