Cops Give Gruesome Details of Benoit Killing Spree

Officials have confirmed the horrifying details in the deaths of wrestling superstar Chris Benoit and his family.

In a statement by a member of the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department, "Mr, Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area."

According to officials, Nancy was bound at the wrists and feet, with a towel wrapped around her body, and blood was found underneath her head. A Bible was also reportedly found near each one of the bodies.

Police have also confirmed that prescription drugs and steroids were found in the house.

Benoit was found hanging in a weight room in his house. Cops say that he used a cord from one of his workout machines as a makeshift noose. Authorities also believe that Benoit died on Saturday.

61. Some of you people need to stop going nuts. I'd bet a lot of you have took "legal" steroids. The man had major neck surgery a few years back, the wrestlers are on the road 300+ days a year. No doubt that there are plenty of them who do illegal things, but lets not kid ourselves and say that most of our professional athletes, actors, singers, etc, do not do likewise.

Hopefully the police will fully investigate this, and not just assume that they have the answers.

If he killed his wife, kid and himself, then you are right, he is an animal and deserves to die in hell but the oddness of the Bibles next to them and other things, things just don't add up.

63. #34 - you are right. There are a lot of decent professional wrestlers out there who do not get famous and do not do steroids....my son is one. He is in it because he loves it!

65. That poor boy - six years old - how could a dad do this. There is no justification for Chris's actions - no matter WHAT. How dare he put bible's at the end of their feet. They will both go to heaven and he will spend eternity in hell where he belongs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God bless the families of this tragedy, God bless his other surviving children and thank God that no others were hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with post #36.we as fans need to make the message clear that drug abusing murderers are NOT HEROES for our children.If you continue to watch this garbage witout speaking out ,your part of the problem and not the solution.When you sit down to watch next week,think of the little boy that was killed by a man you consider to be a hero and wonder who will go off and kill next.You say "it wont happen again" well those same people are the ones that thought it wasnt true to begin with Chris Benoit was a killer and he burns in hell now.I wont watch this crap and my kids wont be either.If you watch just remember that poor little boy!!!!!!!!! do this for him ,speak out against the evil!!

70. #46 & # 47 You moron- if you had watched the news broadcast They DID say PRESCRIBED STEROIDS and as for the Dr's on payroll-- hold THEM responsible--- The dr's took an oath at the end of med school --if they are (& they are) prescribing drugs that these guys don't need, then revike there liscense. The Dr's know right from wrong and they have a choice too.

71. Law Enforcement is confirming at this time, no weapons were used in the murder. Instead Chris Benoit applied his wrestling finishing manuver the "Crippler Cross-Face" to his wife during an arguement. Once his wife died, he freaked out, took a nap and then applied the "Crippler Cross-Face" to his son.

Steroids WERE found on the scene. Read the article on TMZ.com front page. STEROIDS AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS WERE FOUND. Both

74. So, so sad. Sounds like all hopes of Chris Benoit being somehow innocent in all of this are nill. Surprising there was no note or anything left either. May God bless and help their souls and those of their familes/friends/fans.

75. I am in total agreement with those that say Chris was not a hero. He was a man that entertained fans as a wrestler and in the end turned out to be a coward that gruesomely killed his wife , by bounding her legs and wrists and killing his innocent son, who he was suppose to love and protect.

He didn't want to face the music so he killed himself. If he was that down and depressed or couldn't take the pain any longer then why not just kill himself. There is nothing to praise about a man that takes the lives of his family.
