Cops Give Gruesome Details of Benoit Killing Spree

Officials have confirmed the horrifying details in the deaths of wrestling superstar Chris Benoit and his family.

In a statement by a member of the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department, "Mr, Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area."

According to officials, Nancy was bound at the wrists and feet, with a towel wrapped around her body, and blood was found underneath her head. A Bible was also reportedly found near each one of the bodies.

Police have also confirmed that prescription drugs and steroids were found in the house.

Benoit was found hanging in a weight room in his house. Cops say that he used a cord from one of his workout machines as a makeshift noose. Authorities also believe that Benoit died on Saturday.

93. wow chris, won't this send out a message to other wrestlers that abusing steroids is wrong and why would you take your family this way and take away their lives because of your selfishness and wrong doing

94. Chris Benoit used to be one of my favorite wrestlers and I will miss him,but he deserves to burn in Hell for what he did.A tragic shame indeed.

95. I think the point here was not the Steroid abuse. It likely contributed to it, but; I think Benoit was one of these extremist fundamentalist Christians. I have to compare this to fundamentalist Muslims, like the 9/11 skyjackers; whom thought killing innocents, in God's name, was God's 'will' !

96. at the time they didn't know he had done all this , as it was a live show they had about 4 hours to prepare something .. anything.. and knew everyone would know about the situation so went with it. I think for the fans at the time it was the right thing to do .. but thankfully they are not following it up on smackdown and ecw.

By the way , on the raw episode did anyone see the william regal part? i thought it was odd when he refused to comment on the man , but just his wrestling ability .. then i thought some of the guys must have thought something strange was up

97. Just remember not to make snap judgements people. We do not know all the facts. I find it very hard to believe Chris did this too.. But there is no way yet, of knowing if it was steroids or some other mental problem.
I hope that now they will all be able to rest in peace. And Kudos to Vince McMahon for dropping his storyline last nite. I actually respected him for that one!

98. Lets be serious for a second. Yes, he doesn't deserve plaudits for killing his wife and child, BUT, there are millions of fans worldwide who feel that the tribute was the right thing to do.

On WWE television he wasnt Benoit the man, He was Benoit the wrestler. The Wrestling Industry has lost Benoit the wrestler, Not benoit the murderer, Therefore celebrating his career was the best thing to do IMO.

99. And too all the steroid comments. Can we wait for all the medical reports before you carelessly state a wrong OPINION!

100. Brian Pillman, Rick Rude, Curt Henning, Eddie Guerero - when does it stop. when will someone take notice of the damage steroids are doing to these people. It's one thing to die or kill yourself, but now it has taken innocent lives. The main stream media needs to knock on Vince MacMahn's door.

101. To #73 there's this thing, called the WWE creative team. One of the nickolodeon writers is on it now, they write the storylines.

102. Hey Perez hilton how stupid are you! His son didn't live a long full life--he died at 7 years old.
My thoughts and prayers are for the other 2 children and of course Daniel. Shame on Nancy for not leaving him in 2003, I only wish she would had got some help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

103. No Rock, you just seem to think that whatever reason he had was valid or something. He was a sick vile man who did this all by himself and there is no 'reason' in this at all.

104. Time for WWE fans to wake up and demand better from the WWE.

Demand steroid restrictions like other sports

105. How can I ignore the murder? I'll tell you how... I can see it as a tragedy. I can see it as something going horribly wrong in someones mind.

Have you condemned any of your soldiers, any of your war heros? Did you condemn yourself the first time you took the like of a small creatuer? No.

Yes this is entirely different but you will never understand Benoit's reasons, none of us will. So stop with the hatred.
