FOX Reporter Takes Cheap Shot at the Hiltons

Click to return to TMZ.comFOX News correspondent Jonathan Hunt inexplicably brought Kathy and Rick Hilton's parenting skills into question during coverage of Paris Hilton's exit from jail early this morning. Low blow, no?

Hunt suggested that the Hiltons "might want to question" the way they raised their daughter. He also raised an unnecessary eyebrow about what Paris had planned for her first night of freedom, asking, "Is this a party which is going to see a lot of alcohol served? Is this Paris Hilton embarking down the same path that led her to jail in the first place?"

The better question might be, "Is this a cable news reporter talking out of his a**?"

226. Um... She's a high school dropout. Of course her parents screwed up raising her. That's like calling a dog and animal with 4 legs. Thanks capt. obvious. How can anyone honestly not think the Hiltons are bad parents? Is it from their amazing number of children going on to school, or independent success? Oh yea... I forgot, she has a sex tape, a bombing "reality" show, and can barely string a sentence together. Great parenting skills there.

227. You should have reported the whole story, TMZ. His comments were made in reference to a big party rumored to be waiting for Paris. Granted, it doesn't mean that there was going to be alcohol surved but this is the Hiltons. I had not planned to watch any news coverage of Paris getting out of jail because frankly I don't care but it was like a train-wreck that you can't stop staring at. It reminded me of the OJ chase and also, as this reporter also brought up, it was oddly like the night Princess Diana died. Of course it has been found that the paparazzi didn't cause the accident that took Di's life; however, I kept waiting for one of those out of control, diabolical, waste of human skin paparazzos to lose control of their vehicle while driving down the freeway and trying to take pictures at the same damn time. I mean for crying out loud, the SUV couldn't even stop at a red light without being swarmed. No news agency, website, or tabloid should even consider purchasing pictures taken during Paris' ride after her release. These people who put countless innocent citizens at risk last night with their reckless behavior should not be rewarded for their stupidity.

228. OOOOOHHHH, the truth must hurt. Here's the 100,000 dollar question. Why the hell would TMZ care if some guy questions the Hiltons? I bet he's not the first!!!!! Hey, Harry Levin, the Hiltons aren't gonna be your friends no matter how much propaganda you spread. Go kiss someone else's ass.

229. Double standard anyone?

Why does tmz think it's okay to take shots at Virgie Arthur, but not the Hiltons? Money????

Ever since Lin Wood's name was thrown around, it's been an all out smear campaign hate fest against Mrs. Arthur by tmz.

230. can't handle the truth can you TMZ? You all just love glorifying people like Paris and those other "hollywood bimbos".

Posted at 1:01PM on Jun 27th 2007 by who cares...

231. She is the product of her upbringing. She has never had to face consequences for her actions in the past. This is the fault of her parents.

I think it's asinine for TMZ to think otherwise.

I still think FoxNEWS sucks, but at least someone had the cajones to bring up the parenting.

232. Actually, that FOX reporter was addressing the issues TMZ should have been addressing all along, if in fact TMZ were made up of real reporters and not just bottom-feeding tabloid trash. Get your head out of Paris's herpes-laden ass, and maybe you'll realize that the concerns posed by FOX are extremely valid.

233. finally! a reporter that actually questions the parenting skills that gave the world an idiot socio-whatever...this guy should be praised!!

235. Why do we as a society care if a reporter (who should be reporting REAL news anyway) said something about her parents? No one should care. If you do, go out and get laid. This just depresses me to see our society this fucking stuck on someone else's life. Let her live, live your own lives.

236. C'mon TMZ, he is RIGHT ON! If my child posted a sex tape to the public, was seen publicly drunk and on drugs, drove drunk, got thrown in jail, people would question my parenting! As you can see, the readers disagree with your slant on this topic...

237. You cannot be seriously opposing the Fox reporters criticism. None of the people browsing any of these types of websites were raised the way Paris was raised. I dont know anyone who parties everyday. Paris and much of Hollywood should not be looked at as norms.

238. Harey's head is so far up Paris' ass he probably has herpe sores on his neck.

Stop w/ all the Paris stories... no cares about the nasty whore.

239. I never thought I wouls find a site worse than Perez Hilton.... but I guess I did.....it's called TMZ.

I agree with FOx 100%, shocking since I some what hate fox news. TMZ needs to pull their heads out of the HIlton's ass.

RMZ posted the the racist videos Paris and Nicky made, called Paris a racist, then pulled the videos a hour later and never said another word about it?????????

TMZ didn't report that CLub Paris repoed her Ferrari, which she hide in her parents garage, and the found weed in the ashtray. Club Paris is also repoing her SLR.

240. TMZ must be true fans of Paris......Hell No this reporter did not cross the line. He only said what we all are thinking. He was honest and asked good questions. I luved it and want more of it.

No Paris doesn't care at all, she has no sense of responsibility and that is a result of her upbringing. She loves the attention, but then in the next breath doesn't like the bad press. She seeks the paps on more than one occasion. So she has to take the bad press with the good. Her PR people will come up with some fake statement for her. I'm just saying.............
