WWE -- No Killer Zone

6/26/2007 11:32 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

After authorities revealed the grisly details of Chris Benoit's final days, the WWE is changing their tune. In a televised statement, aired just moments ago on Sci Fi Channel's ECW, Vince McMahon made it clear -- they will no longer honor the memory of the murdering wrestler:

"Last night on 'Monday Night Raw,' the WWE presented a special tribute show, recognizing the career of Chris Benoit. However, now some 26 hours later, the facts of this horrific tragedy are now apparent. Therefore, other than my comments, there will be no mention of Mr. Benoit tonight. On the contrary, tonight's show will be dedicated to everyone who has been affected by this terrible incident. This evening marks the first step of the healing process. Tonight, the WWE performers will do what they do better than anyone else in the world -- entertain you."

AT LEAST 60% OF VEIWERS OF WWE AND WHAT IS BEING WROTE ON THE INTERNET ARE OUR "CHILDREN" THEY DO NOT NEED THIS NEGATIVETY IN THERE LIVES IF WE TAKE AWAY ALL THERE HEROS WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE ARE WE SENDING. AGAIN PLEASE BECARFUL WHAT YOU WRITE AND HOW YOU EXPLAIN THIS TO YOUR CHILDREN

I say get real. If you're so concerend about what you kids read get computer filters. I'd be more concerned about your kids reading neonazi rhetoric, how to make bombs, and recruitment into al quida. Kids should know the truth about the WWE and the steroid scandal to prevent them from becoming a future roid statistic. And, to show parents they should choose their heros more wisely.

Why would Vince say this??? To cover his @ssets $$$$ and try to get away from the steroid epidemic plaguing the wrestling community.

Just a thought

How gracious of Mr. Mahon to make this decision as he 'comes back to life'! Wasn't it Mr. Mahon who very recently pulled a stunt to make the wresting world think he had been 'killed'? ...committed 'suicide'? Who really knows what his intent was, but the point is that he saw no problem with what he did to the American public, and he calls himself sane and degrades Chris? Does Mahon or anyone else really think anyone who were not sick would commit the atrocity that Chris is accused of committing? The man was ill...whatever the reason, the man was still ill. So what's Mr. Mahon's excuse?

I just don't get it. Blaming steriods for the murders is like blaming the gun in a shooting. Everyone has stress in their life and we all deal with it , while making alot less money then he did. He was messed up. Why try to blame it on wrestling or Vince? When my job or anything else causes that much stress, I move on. This was a terrible tragedy caused by a sick person. God bless the family and freinds involved with them.

I was so afraid that people would do nothing but bad mouth Chris because of what he did. Yes what he did was wrong and horrible. People need to remember though, we are not the ones to judge, he is answering to the only one he has to. I have followed wrestling for the last 24 yrs. Chris was always one of my favorites becze he gave his all. The tribute showed how many other wrestlers that loved & respected him. Wrestlers he had helped and tutored. My question is this: where was his friends, family, co workers? He had to be giving out signals that something was wrong and everyone missed them. The press so eager to say it was steroids, he tested clean. None of us know what was going on in his life, and while i can't understand what he did i will say i have been to the point of trying to kill myself and wanted to kill the one who hurt me, i couldn't do it. That was me tho. The other beef I have is with Vince McMahon. You were going with a storyline about you're supposed death. How do you feel now? You make up these stupid story lines just for fun. When something real happens you turn your back. Chris did alot for you and your company and you just happen to forget that. People also need to remember he had other children & family. This is a tough time for them. Give them your prayers and give Chris, his wife, and Daniel prayers too.

Yes. I am sure that the Atlanta prosecuter who stated that this murder was fuelled by "roid rage" has an extensive backround into the physiological, and psycological affects of steroid abuse. This crime was methodically committed over the course of 3 days. There was no indication that Nancy Benoit was beaten to death, nor was Daniel Benoit massacred. The term "rage" relates to the psycological demeanor of the person under the influence of streroids. This crime, as related to us by the prosecuter, shows little element of "rage." I am sure we will all be enlightened soon as to the real events that took place this past weekend, and end some pointless speculation, and put "would-be" detctives back on the couch, watching Dr. Phil.

211. Posted by Goofyintheloofy "Benoit was a "performer." He was a great "WWE-ECW-WCW and all other corporations superstar." He does one thing, and we tarnish him. This is like the Paris Hilton stuff. Leave the guy alone and leave him in peace. Saying bad things about him is getting us no where."

What Chris Benoit did in the arena is now moot. He is not a man to be respected but a man to be scorned due to the horrific way he killed his family. "He does one thing and we tarnish him"............the man wasn't caught jaywalking he murdered his friggen family.

This needs to be discussed and remain in the public forum so changes come about. Let this be a warning to others. And, let this be a warning to the WWE to clean up their act.

If this saves even one more family from such tragedy then Chri's wife and child might not have died in vane!

The anabloic steroid and human growth hormone purchases by Benoit are interwtined with this company AND EVOLVING NEWS STORY

Authorities in Georgia were investigating a link between Benoit and a Florida business that may have supplied him with steroids.

Prosecutors in upstate New York who have been investigating the company's drug sales said Benoit received deliveries from Signature Pharmacy and MedXLife.com, which sold steroids, human growth hormone and testosterone on the Internet.

Six people, including two of the pharmacy's owners, have pleaded guilty in the investigation, and 20 more have been arrested, including doctors and pharmacists.

Let's wait for the toxicology reports to learn more about the incident, before we pass total judgment. It's odd that someone who was one of the best of alltime in his chosen profession would throw away his legacy that he worked years to build in a matter of the last three days of his life. He was not only one of the best of alltime in his chosen profession, but he was liked and respected by his co-workers, employer, friends and family.
I don't think he was in a rational state of mind when the murders were committed. Whether it was roid rage or premeditated is pure speculation at this point. If Benoit planned it out, why didn't he dispose of the bodies and then leave the crime scene? I don't think a person who is sane and a cold blooded killer would hang around with the bodies after the murder was committed. I think another telling sign is he placed Bibles near the bodies, and the fact that he killed himself. I think he killed himself because he realized what he had done, and his way of punishing himself probably in his mind was
to take his own. A cold-blooded killer would show no remorse for the actions. I think this
was Benoit's way of showing remorse. I don't condone what he did, and he managed to live, I would want him brought up on charges of murder at all. There have been people have been coming up with the end result and condemning him, but aren't trying to piece together what happened just prior to the murders, as to why he may have committed
the murders. His son had Fragile-X syndrome, and he had previous problems with his wife. If Benoit was not sane when he killed his son, wife and himself, that might explain his actions to some degree. I think if you're not in your normal sane state of mind, a person is capable of committing acts they wouldn't normally do. Chris was a soft-spoken individual who was generally liked by those who knew him. These murders
and his suicide seem highly uncharacteristic for him, which leads me to believe that he
could have been in a state of insanity at the time he committed the murders.
