#87 & #89 Yes, it makes perfect sense to have one of their 'stars' killed. In fact, they're in the family's will and plan to add that chump change to their even bigger stash of dough. *rolls eyes*

Keep up the good work TMZ! This is a celebrity news website. What happened to the Benoit family is celebrity news. As horrific as it is, it non the less must be reported, down to the last detail. Just like all the Paris and brit and Lili B.S. TMZ has an obligation to report the up to the minuet news on this story, just like any other celebrity story. Good job TMZ. CNN, MSNBC and even FOX news are all over this story too.

disgusted at wwe

First of all kudos to TMZ for putting info out there for the enquiring minds. If people don't like it, take a hike to another website, there's millions of them out there.
This is a pr nightmare for WWE. The public relations department are back peddling so fast it's incredible. Last night they were all crying and saying what great guy Chris Benoit was. Now that the facts are out they have removed all tributes and acalades from their website. WWE states they are upset at the media for sensationalizing the story. Talk about the kettle calling the pot black. They know all about sensationalizing stories. They say they are concerned about people assuming steroids were involved and that Benoit passed a drug test in April by an independent tester. I say B.S!
Where would the WWE be without their muscle bound wrestlers. WWE knows most of the wrestlers are on steroids, but they only see dollar signs and the bigger the wrestler the better the draw, so they turn a blind eye to the problem. I also think they would have swept this under the rug if homocides weren't involved. We never did hear about the cause of death for Eddie Geuvero or Curt Henig, Ravishing Rick Rude or countless others did we? When Eddie Guevero died the WWE had a press conference to inform the public about their new bogus drug testing policies they put in place which was only to try to fool the public into thinking they truly wanted to rid wrestling of steroids. If you can't see that Batista and the other guys are juiced, then you don't want to see. It sure didn't take long for them to pay tribute to this monster last night or to start defending themselves today and trying to deflect blame, but Vince McMahon and the boys have got blood on their hands, not just Benoit's but the blood of a 7 year old!

Please change the times you reported as to when the text messages were sent out; The last one was 3:58, not 5:58. Now people think he had two more hours than he really did. BAD idea to misreport something like this... And news stations share your website's information on reports as fact? Hah.

#90 Yeah that's what I was talking about. *eye roll*

And for the record the 23:01 time is UCT, which translates to 7 pm June 24. Thats more than 18 hours before the bodies were found IIRC

NOW do people see why I said something a little (a lot)...ah, suspicious?

actually aubrey (#92), saying out here McMahon killed Benoit isn't slander. It's LIBEL (slader is spoken) and it's only libel if it's not true.

I can't believe some of the wrestling fanboys (and fangirls) who continue to delude themselves that some crazy conspiracy plot has taken place, or offer the "we still don't know everything and we never will" reasoning. The police and district attorney have officially ruled and confirmed that Benoit murdered his wife and son and then killed himself. They wouldn't do that unless the evidence at the crime scene was conclusive. There is not still "lots of investigating to do." The case is ostensibly closed. The results of the autopsies and toxicology reports may offer additional insight into time or manner of death but they're not going to change the ruling. This is not an episode of Murder She Wrote, and nobody is going to be dusting for prints. I do not follow professional wrestling, but I can imagine how difficult it must be for the many people who apparently looked up to this man to have their perceptions about him destroyed. Many people end up disillusioned by their heroes, especially when those heroes are public figures. It doesn't matter what he had "been through," or how difficult or demanding his job was. Those would certainly not be valid excuses if he had lived to face prosecution. The man committed a horrible violent crime, and the fact that he also happened to be a well-like professional wrestler does nothing to change that.

curious girl

I can not believe all the people getting on their uppity band wagons about TMZ reporting this story. Is this the same people who say the most vile comments everyday about different people. The same people who are usually rude and crude. Can't believe not they are being do gooders. By the way, I never understood if wresting is fake or not. I would really love it if somebody would repond to this question.
