I'm guessing that he killed his wife accidentally as he was probably an abuser in the past which is why she had filed for divorce as she was "afraid of him", then she withdrew the charges and the papers so, now she's dead - typical! Next, he couldn't bear to think of jail and his poor son must have been asking for his Mommy, so he knew he had to kill himself to avoid jail and face what he had done to his wife. He could leave his poor little son alone in the house and the world without his parents, so his only solution was to kill him also, then kill himself - again typical! No one know what goes on behind closed doors.

18. Even more profound and sad is this photo was taken just months after his mother Nancy filed for a divorce and got a restraining order against Chris because she was afraid of him.

Like many woman suffering from battered women syndrome, instead of fleeing she took him back. Too bad someone close to that family ahdn't taken Nancy under their wing and sought serios professional help to help her flee Chris.

19. I think it's disgusting to even post this photo and article. Let this child rest in peace and don't use photos of him for your own gain. I'm extremely disappointed in TMZ for stooping this low and even more disappointed in myself for frequenting a site that chooses to exploit the tragic murder of an innocent child.

25. It breaks my heart to see this picture. Looking at that poor, innocent child makes me want to cry. I can't imagine anyone murdering their own child. I don't even want to think of his last moment. It's really hard for me to accept the fact that Benoit did this especially watching him as i grew up.

26. I'm so sick of hearing about this. I see this picture and it fills me not only with revulsion for what Benoit did, but for the fact that people won't just leave it alone. Let the friends and family grieve, for crying out loud. This being brought up over and over is torture and it needs to come to a close.

28. I do not find fault in you for putting up that picture. To put a "face" on this horrible crime makes all of us realize what a horrific crime this was. It makes us FEEL, and from that maybe we can try to figure out how to stop things like this from happening again.

#19-the hormones found in the Benoit home were all obtained with valid precriptions.
One more thing I would like to say. People seem to have no problem making fun of mentally retarded people. I see snarky comments posted all the time. This sweet little boy was mentally retarded. Think about that sweet boy's face next time you think it would be funny to make fun of mentally handicapped people. These sweet kids take a lot of crap from "normal" people who know better, but think it's no big deal because they are "retards."
