36. 30. This sounds a little bogus. If someone hits your car and you're able to identify them, your own INSURANCE COMPANY goes after them. There is no need for all of this drama. Maybe this Mexican lady didn't have insurance and Hoff's ex took advantage of the situation. If Mexicana wasn't driving with insurance then it serves her right.

#30 KiKi are you kidding?. You must not live in L.A. because if you have a care registered in California it must be insured. You will received a notice 3 days if it is not transferred to the DMV and you have 10 days to get it straight or your car will be impounded. That is a new rule for California drivers starting Jan 1 2007.Ever thought that Pam was Drunk and took advantage of a young girl.


Why do stupid people who do not know the laws of California make comments about things in California? Paris should not have spent 24 days in jail for her offense. No one does in L.A. When the sheriff let her out he only put the monitor on her because they would have said it was special treatment. That's way the judge was made. He should have just let her ass out. That would have been the end of story. The sheriff department is in charge of who stays in jail not the damn Judge.

37. #35 Angel, NOHalle hit someone an d left.. She was teh driver in the wrong. She fled the scene of a naccident. She ended up i ncourt. She did her mea coupla. Oh, and yeah, great lawyer ,pr people, but, ummm ,she had to pay a nice undisclosed gift ,I mean settlement to the person she hit. It was def. right that they got a nice gift ,I mean settlement. Google Halle Berryand car accident and read for yourself. I sure wish some celeb would hit me...I would take my PMSing 44 yr. old butt breast cancer surving Volunteer of the Year 2003 mother of three premenopausal self out on the street cold and play dead like a possum AND IKNOW ANY OF YOU HERE WOULD DO THE SAME THING. Ibe tI would my kids tution pad in full and some for college anda vacation honeymoon for me and hubby.

39. Get it right guys...the lady that she hit may have only carried the CA state minimums for insurance - which is a liability policy. That only covers your a$$ when you hit someone. If this was the only insurance this lady had(which by the way in Sunny CA is totally legal), when PB hit her, her personal policy wouldn't cover the car!!! PB hit her - left - and should pay the piper...however this is LA/Hollyweird and that won't happen...

Meltz, did your brain melt? What part of this was a HIT AND RUN do you NOT comprehend? You do not leave the scene of an accident & then bargain to pay a damage bill only AFTER you got caught fleeing simply because you are trying to avoid the penalties for leaving the scene of an accident & not reporting. This has nothing to do with frivolous lawsuits you yutz!!!!

PS No one said the lady was suing beyond the cost of the car damage.

44. demi @17 - Read back story, previous Bach post/tmz. Normally one would agree with you, but this was a hit and run. Bach got caught after fleeing the scene as a bystander got her plates. You may feel differently. Who's to say she wouldn't rip off victim with rubber cheque or insisting damage is less if she fled the accident scene...victim wants to be sure of proper compensation from this hit and runner. We are all human and, as always is the case, there is two sides to every story. Have we not all made errors in judgement to varying degrees during the courses of lives. The difference in us and the more public figures is that their mental lapses get highly publisized and in most cases embellished and sensationalized. Pam was attempting to correct a wrong, we don't have to agree with the method, but none the less attempting to right a wrong, and it failed. At the end of the day the moneys will be available to repair the damages and the world will once again be back on its axis. $1,300 dollars, come on, you can fart near a car now a days and do more damage than that....
