I agree with you in principle, but once someone has hit and run they have already displayed a propensity to not do the right thing. Then to show up on one's property with cameras after getting caught would be downright creepy, and not the proper avenue to pursue at this point.
It proceeds to the justice system, and so it should. I would not want further dealings with a person who didn't deal in a proper way to begin with, to ensure I'd actually receive the damages for my car. I would be unsure of that otherwise. Let the proper authorities deal after the way this unfolded, IMHO. I wouldn't get involved with anyone who'd hit and run my car after the fact. Unwise, considering the history, in spite of her intentions.

54. Southern California has a major problem with latino hit-and-run drivers. Many of those hit-and-run drivers are "liars" and/or uninsured illegal aliens from south of the USA border.

Before you start ranting that I am hater - think about this: perhaps Nicole Valdez and her witness are "framing" Pamela Bach because Bach is a $$$$ white actress? In southern California - accidents and hit-and-run incidents are "staged" to rip off Insurance companies.
My neighbor was waiting at an intersection for the traffic light to turn green. He happened to glance to his left and noticed two latino guys talking and they appeared to be looking at him. One of the latinos was also holding a cell phone as if he was talking to someone. When the light changed the cars began moving. About 200 feet forward - the vehicle my neighbor had seen to his left suddenly made an erratic lane change in front of my neighbor. Neighbor was forced to slam his brakes to avoid the erratic vehicle ahead of him. Subsequently my neighbor's vehicle was rear-ended. When he got out of his vehicle he noticed that all the occupant's in the vehicle that struck him were latino and laughing. One of the passengers was speaking in Spanish on his cell phone. They chided Neighbor with intimidating insults. Neighbor called the police. When the police arrived - the occupants of that vehicle instantly stopped laughing and chiding -- they gave statements about how my neighbor had been driving erratically and at unsafe speeds that far exceeded the speed limit. The police officer wrote a traffic collision report accordingly. Next, all the latinos went to an emergenc y room complaining of whiplash, headaches, vision blurriness, sprains and psychological trauma. My neighbor's insurance carrier paid the claims for 4 illegal latinos. The lowest settlement amount was $8,500.00. The latino driver was enriched by $14,000.00 for his alleged injury, pain and suffering, plus his vehicle was repaired and repainted.

By Valdez holding out for a conviction against Bach - that puts Valdez and her attorneys in a stronger position to negotiate a higher settlement with Bach's Insurance carrier.

Ms. Valdez's allegations against Ms. Bach sounds suspicious to me.

#30 KiKi are you kidding?. You must not live in L.A. because if you have a care registered in California it must be insured. You will received a notice 3 days if it is not transferred to the DMV and you have 10 days to get it straight or your car will be impounded. That is a new rule for California drivers starting Jan 1 2007.Ever thought that Pam was Drunk and took advantage of a young girl.

Paris should not have spent 24 days in jail for her offense. No one does in L.A. When the sheriff let her out he only put the monitor on her because they would have said it was special treatment. That's way the judge was made. He should have just let her ass out. That would have been the end of story. The sheriff department is in charge of who stays in jail not the damn Judge.
