47. Avril did not write her own music. Some team of super producers/songwriters called The Matrix wrote her songs for her. Perhaps she added a word here and there for writing credits. She also used to carry around that damn guitar, but mysteriously never played it live. She is only recently playing it (after realizing she would have to eventually and seeking guitar lessons). She claims in interviews that she didn't claim to be punk, the media branded her that way, but dresses in faux-punk clothes and spits and pretends to be angry and depressed. Now she is a barbie doll, after making a name for herself by being the "anti-Britney". Her music has never been anything special: "Complicated", "sk8ter boi"?? Yeah, stellar songwriting. How about her new stuff: "Hey, hey, I don't like your girlfriend....." Wow, I could never write such indepth stuff. Bubble gum pop is all she ever was and all she could ever be. Oh yeah, her husband's quasi-punk "band" sucks too. Does anyone even own one of their albums? Anybody? Didn't think so. Bad music for 14 year olds who have no clue who David Bowie is.

but i think it's just very nice and kind to play in a mall for her fans, right? for free! that just shows us that she's not a b***h! to everybody who says somethin' else: thik about it, does ur favorite singer performs in a mall for free to make the fans happy, because it takes to long until the tour starts? no? well think about avril again...

49. It is my contention that people involved in the same business should not publically, stand in judgement of each other. Especially since the one standing in judgement is only half as talented as the one they are judging. this is the case with the above. She think she is all that....which she is ....but not the all that that she thinks she is. She's the other all that....that which is on her way out.

50. Damn, a mall tour? She did that with her last CD too. I wouldn't call her a poser or a sell out....she is a manufactured pop star which is worse than both.
Sell out would mean she was a legit artist who turned. A legit artist doesn't need several producers and song writers to create a CD. If you want a sell out look no further than Liz Phair or Gwen Stephani.
Poser would mean she is pretending to be something she is not. She is not rock, or punk, or even pop-punk, she is pop which means she does and sings whatever Clive Davis and her label tells her to.
I like Avril, my 13 year old sister needs harmless music. She loves the SpongeBob song. Oh and to those who thinks she plays the guitar. During her show in Chicago for some reason she stopped playing to reach behind her......but the guitar never stopped. Seemed to me someone was playing in the background and she was faking it.

51. It never ceases to amaze me that sites like this have nothing better to do than trash hard working singers. You ignorant asses have trashed Kelly Clarkson, and now Avril Lavigne, and it is truly ridiculous. Perhaps it is because all of the writers on here trashing people are so blindly jealous that they have their panties in a twist? The phrase "methinks thou doth protest too much" can apply here...."methinks thou do bash too much to truly mean what you say". In other words(for those of you too stupid to understand my point...mainly the writers here at TMZ) You bash Avril and Kelly constantly, but that means you are watching them with constant unfailing attention...who now is the loser? Ponder that one for a while.

54. Have you heard her so called hard rock or punk music? It sounds like bubblegum jr. high school music.
How she ever got these genres associated with her is unbelievable.

Johnny Rotten and the Sex Pistols are my thoughts of a punk band.
Hard rock goes without saying.
