Johnny Knoxville Pulls the Plug on Marriage

"Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville is officially 86'ing his marriage.


TMZ has obtained documents, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, in which Knoxville (real name P.J. Clapp) cited "irreconcilable differences" in his nearly twelve-year marriage to wife Melanie.

We're told there is no prenup and Knoxville will pay spousal support. He's asking for joint custody of the couple's only child, 11-year-old daughter Madison.

Interestingly, Knoxville's lawyer, disso-queen Laura Wasser, signed the divorce petition last January but it wasn't filed until today.

16. She should have selected "incurably insane" instead of "irreconcilable differences" given his on-screen and off-screen stunts. No court would disagre with her.

25. I don't know why his wife didn't divorce the cheating son of a biatch sooner or be the one to file. Best of luck to her..i hope she gets a ton of money and finds herself a hot, faithful dude who doesn't make her hide in the shadows while he acts like a single dude. Knoxville should be ashamed.

30. I've partied with this guy and let's just say he's never kept his infidelity a secret. Word is she has a severe drinking problem (as does he), and he got tired of having someone else have issues. He's a super friendly guy, funny as heck, but seems to be enjoying his second childhood.
