Nicole Richie IS Pregnant

TMZ has independently confirmed that Nicole Richie is pregnant.

The starlet has been dating Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden for over six months. Rumors have been swirling for months that Richie and Madden were expecting, but TMZ has confirmed through several sources that she is, in fact, with child. In Touch magazine is also reporting that the couple will wed this summer. Richie is currently facing DUI charges stemming from her arrest last December, when she was found driving the wrong way on a California highway.

Richie's trial is set for July 11. If convicted, she faces a minimum of five days in jail.

Richie's rep did not return repeated calls for comment.

828. Well all I have to say is she won't be having the plush private room in prison like she would out in the free world to have her child. Yes women have their babies in prison chained to the gurney while having their babies, and you have only a few hours to have someone come pick it up at a moments notice before the child goes to the social service department . So I hope there is a responsible person out there that Nicole knows that will sit on their cell and hop in the limo at a moments notice to pick up her child. I know this of California prisons because my grandchild was born in CRC down in the LA area where they send Druggies to prison. And I hear it isn't as fun as the "Hollywood Rehab" the Hilton's, Richie's and Loghans and Spears have expeienced, No SPA !!!

829. I do think she will be a loving and caring mother to her child. She shows that to her friends and people she is in contact with, like on the show her and Paris had, they both were and are caring people. A child growing up in this world should be so fortunate now a days to be in a home full of love. Even if she ends up being a single mom. That kid will never want for anything in the love department , all the other stuff she can get on shopping sprees....

831. I'm so happy for Nicole. And I don't think she did this to stay out of jail! This is going to help her get more mature and realize shes grown up. I don't think she would ever do anything to hurt her own child. And even if she does need help with it, she has Joel, and her family and friends to help her. Shes rich, she and her kid can have whenever they want. I think it's going to be a cutte baby, and whoever is being mean about it is just jealous.
