Al Gore's Son Busted!

Al Gore IIIAl Gore III, the 24-year-old son of Al Gore was arrested on suspicion of drug possession today. The former second-in-command's son was pulled over after allegedly driving his Prius 100 miles an hour down an Orange County freeway. (At least he was driving a Prius!) When deputies searched the car they found pot, along with Valium, Xanax, Vicodin and Adderall. He is currently being held at the Santa Ana Inmate Reception Center on $20,000 bail.

This isn't Gore III's first arrest. He was charged with marijuana possession in 2003 and was ticketed for reckless driving in 2000 and 2002.

Think they'll make an example of him like they did Paris Hilton?

I can't wait to hear what Rush has to say. He has an amazing comic genius. If you don't agree, then you're not listening!!!

Good luck, kid, and slow down on the fun-o-meter just a tad!

65. 7. If Al Gore was my dad - i'd need drugs too!

===========================================
...and Johnny Wadd, what have you or YOUR dad done to help mankind? You sound like a loser to me...and I bet your dad is not much of a man either if you represent the mentality of his offspring. Go do something to contribute to society rather than sitting at your computer doing nothing at all.

68. What does Al Gore got to do with his Adult son? Since when can Parents controll the behaviour of their grown children in a Brave and Free country like ours?? Fox News has made me proud of my Freedom and Liberty from my parents since I turned Eighteen and thanks to Bill and Shawn hope it stays that way.

69. Yes, another look at potential addiction (pharmaceutical drugs, alcohol, et al.) in our society and the Soul's enormous lesson in overcoming it. Nobody is exempt and, hopefully, all are using these stories as mirrors for self-healing instead of casting judgment.

We never know where addiction will show up in the family lineage and, therefore, no family is exempt and, especially, those with "O" Type Blood and direct or indirect lineage ties to the indigenous or Native American.

I can imagine The Gores will (finally) be able to get him to confront any addiction via the legal system. They are forthright humans and will handle this the same way they have handled other challenges.

For all on this board who are taking any of the drugs listed above, find a therapist and/or medical doctor who treats patients without them. Criticize Tom Cruise, Scientology, and other programs all you want, but there is great truth to what he stated with Matt Lauer (though he was going through a fiesty period in his life and didn't share the information as softly as he might otherwise have done to gain a positive attention and/or response from the public but then, again, most are in denial until their life begins to unravel!

71. [[[[[ It's okay, Stan. Do you still think Saddam had WMDs? Feel free to link to any valid research discrediting Global Warming.]]]]]

There is a ton of GW research, check it out for yourself. It's not all one sided. And many scientists are apalled at the pressure and hype to jump on the bandwagon. Note also that some scientists quoted are in fact scientists...but are quoted on things OUTSIDE their field. For example why not quote a geologist about cloud patterns this year? Is that valid? They can have an opinion, but not one backed by their credentials.

For example, many scientists realize that Mt Kilimanjaro has less ice/snow on it because the high humidity forests nears it's base were cut down. The humidity is the source of the snow cover!

Or that lake that vanished with the ship sitting there...folks in the area vividly remember how angry everyone was when the Russians diverted the river that feeds it according to their own needs (the water went elsewhere). Later when it dries up why is that fact ignored?

If Al Gore did not know the two things above, WHY NOT? If he did and chose to ignore them, WHY?

Here is a recent newspaper article whose references you can dig into further if you'd like:

http://www.suntimes.com/news/otherviews/450392,CST-EDT-REF30b.article

There are many more. But they won't be found in Al Gore's material. Or the glove box of his son's Prius.

72. 5. Pot shouldn't be illegal in the first place, so big deal. People who smoke it regularly don't get intoxicated like you do when you're drunk, so it's not as if he was drinking & driving. Mixing it with prescription drugs can make you drowsy, though, so hopefully he wasn't using the Xanax & Valium before driving.

--------------------------------------------------------
Jesus, where do you come from? You sound like one of those arrogant 15 year old kids that think smoking pot is not taking drugs. "People who smoke it regularly don't get intoxicated like you do when you're drunk, so it's not as if he was drinking & driving". WTF?

OK Ally, I guess it's education time for you. You obviously haven't thought this through, and are just rationalizing your own dope smoking, so please read this clearly. Smoking pot is a delivery vehicle for the DRUG THC. This DRUG affects the nervous system's flow of nueroreceptors (temporarily short circuiting it), and causes impaired judgement. Doesn't matter if the person is drunk or stoned; both cause impaired judgement, and impaired judgement is what causes accidents. I know of 5 people, friends from when I was growing up, who died because they got stoned, got in a car, couldn't react to situations presented to them & got in major accidents. So, your statement that it's not the same doesn't hold an ounce of water.

Next time, please think your arguements through before you post here. it'll be less embarrassing for you later on. Instead of just repeating what your friends are saying, you should instead use your brain & think things out for yourself. Now, run on home & do your homework...

73. This kid was hit by a car and terribly injured when he was 10 years old. Maybe was impacted by that. All the other kids in this family are normal upstanding citizens. With 4 kids it's bound that one will have some problems.

75. Hey I'm stoned right now. Yes I am. And my backyard has brown spots where the sprinklers don't reach. Global warning is really, really real. I think.
