Curb-Hopper Lindsay Curbing Clubbing

Lindsay Lohan calls her 21st birthday "her first sober b-day ever." Ever? Really?

Lilo, who's apparently been boozing since birth, gave an impromptu interview to paparazzi while standing at the cashier of a Santa Monica convenience store. Linds told the camera "it feels good" to be sober and added that she probably won't be back on the club scene for a while. How will the clubs survive?

Sobriety didn't stop her from hitting up a 4th of July party in Malibu yesterday and enjoying a birthday bash earlier in the week ... just don't expect to see her at Hyde anytime soon!

32. Driving Under the Influence of Fame

The famous—Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Nichole Richie, Mel Gibson, Ty Pennington, Vivica A. Fox, Tracy Morgan, Haley Joel Osment, Michelle Rodriguez, George Michael, Ray Liotta, Mike Tyson, rap artist Eve and players in the NFL, NBA and MLB—all have one thing in common: driving under the influence. And the public outcry over Hilton’s release and reincarceration only underscores the fact that—famous or not—the nation wants something to be done about it. Find out what MADD has to say and the simple solution that could put an end to drunk driving.

In the last year, a great number of celebrities and high-profile sports figures have been arrested for committing drunk driving offenses. Among them, Paris Hilton has gotten the most attention—and public outrage. And for good reason.

Hilton has not taken responsibility for the fact she drank before getting behind the wheel, drove on a suspended drivers’ license and then appealed to the governor for leniency in her sentence for that offense. MADD believes she should accept full responsibility for her actions, especially since a vast young audience is watching her every move.

MADD also believes that Hilton should have an alcohol ignition interlock installed on her car so that she cannot drive drunk again. In fact, through our Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving, we are advocating for an ignition interlock to be placed on every car for all convicted drunk drivers.

The reason why people continue to drive drunk is because they can. And Hilton is a good example. She, like many others who have had their license suspended, continue to drive. Ignition interlocks would put an end to this as an interlock device prevents the car from being started if a measurable amount of alcohol is in the driver’s system. Courts across the country are too lenient on those who drive on suspended licenses due to drunk driving. In addition to jail time, fines and other sanctions, MADD would like to see at least a one-year interlock provision for those who drive on suspended licenses.

Armed with new data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which shows that drunk driving fatalities are higher than they have been in 15 years, MADD’s National Board met with Congressional leaders in June to ask them for an increased focus on drunk driving across the nation and to support MADD's Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving. In addition to ignition interlocks on all convicted drunk driver vehicles, the Campaign also calls for the exploration of new technologies to prevent a vehicle from being driven by someone who is drunk as well as increased enforcement and public support.

35. The only reason she may not be drinking anymore (doubt that) is because it is legal for her to. Where is the fun in following the rules. Last week she was thumbing her nose at the legal system. Now, no fun in it, no one cares of a 21 year old has a drink. I guess she will have to take a page from Parisites book and turn to harder drugs. Oh wait Paris has never ever taken a drug in her life. I forgot

36. Well, once again Boy Howdy is flabbergasted by the hatefulness spewn at LiLo and her Mom. Honestly, people, you have NO IDEA what kind of mother DiLo is - and let's be honest here, folks: you are jealous of DiLo's good looks and wealth! Why not go after Tara, who tries to smear LiLo and Paris' names by feeding false rumours to tmz and other sites. Wasn't attacking DiLo at the Gwen Stefani party enough for you, Tara?

LiLo, Paris, and DiLo - may peace and love shine brightly upon you!

Peace out.

37. PS - to Lein: Can't WAIT to see those monkeys fly out of your butt! Whoo-hoo! Seeing that is FAR more likely than LiLo EVER giving you the time of day, my friend.

Peace out for now!

38. Maybe, folks, she's nervous because the cameraman's asking her questions about a very personal subject. He's put her on the spot, and that's an uncomfortable position, especially when you're discussing something like being in rehab. She's a talented young woman, and I hope she's serious about straightening up. Paris and Britney have little to offer other than notoriety, but Lindsay is the real deal.

39. I'd stay away from all those AA freaks kid. The ones I met were all on some kind of Disability and still whining that their baby bottles weren't warm enough. Next time you're at a meeting, take a survey of how many losers in the room have a job. This "Dr. M" guy makes me want to have a tequila shot. You'd kill yourself if these were your future friends. Pace yourself and hire a Driver.

40. For some reason I love this girl. I hate Britney, Paris...all those other wannabees...This girl is true Hollywood. She is a great actress. Even Jane Fonda and Shirley McClaine (?spelling)loved working with her.
She has a reason to be where those other two are so far out of her league it's ridiculous.
All the best to you Lindsay.

42. Lower the drinking age to 16 and the age of consent to 12! Teenagers would drink alcohol and they could have sex at an early age.

Lindsay Lohan will probably be the female Bill Gates. Or Dina is (rank to) Bill Gates? Has Dina Lohan met Bill Gates before?

Why don't we draft Lohan's parents to Iraq by force instead and let them fight in Iraq 24/7/365! And I want to see Lilo's body in Detroit! She'll be mugged and murdered in Detroit!!! That will end your lifetime jealousy.
