Paula Abdul Is Stinking Up the UK

16. We put up with Simon (bless his little heart) so they will just have to put up with Paula (bless her little heart). She has lived in pain, has not said a bad word about anybody, and gives a lot of people hope. There should be more like her. How could anyone not love Paula? I think a chat show in the UK would be interesting, well, depending on what the chat is about.

17. I feel bad for Paula. I think people shouldn't be so mean to her, because clearly she's going through something. Paula suffers from Chronic Pain, which is the same thing my mom has. Its really sad because some people with the disease become dependent on painkillers. Whether she is or isn't, I still like her!

If you read my message again you will see the word "probably" had a stroke. I base it on years and years of seeing similar patients who struggle on a daily basis and if they are lucky to admit their illness and go into a good treatment program they are capable of living productive lives. But those are the ordinary people who don't have to depend on public appearances. A lot of celebrities are surrounded by very narrow minded staff who don't have their best interests at heart and advise them to go on multiple public appearances without consideration that a celebrity might not be in the best shape to do so. You are right It's hard to make a DX without actually seeing and talking to a patient. DX is not cut in stone. I wish I were wrong but....sadly enough I am probably right.

My dad suffered from chronic pain. He was run over by a car while driving his motorcycle and broke almost every bone in his body. His legs look like a jigsaw puzzle. He has been on every pain medication there is and at the moment is taking oxycontin. He NEVER EVER walks around like he is on drugs. He doesn't slur his speech or rattle on making zero sense.

Paula is an abuser and people like you are enablers making excuses to cover her drugged out behavior.

20. 22 has it just about right .................................. and addicts on scripts are the worst cause they have it twisted some how that they are only following doctors orders and only taking "what they need".

Hell I needed to smoke crack and I needed to drink - only problem was I couldnt find a doctor willing to write the prescription.

But I suppose for enough money you can find someone willing to do just about anything.

22. I don't believe Paula had a stroke. Usually people that have strokes have some paralysis on one side of their body/face to overcome. I believe she is abusing perscription drugs. Even if it started out just to deal with physical pain, it is now getting to be too much to hide.

Does "solemnly sware..." mean anything to you at all? What doctors are you talking about? The ones who wanted to blow off London maybe or a small group of money hungry incompetent people? Most of us would never ever put patients at risk. Please remember this. Mistakes in DX happen and every one leaves a bleeding mark in your heart. Go to ER for a tour and you will agree with me.

24. Paula appears to be looped up on pain management meds for a past injury or a boched up surgery of her neck. Also I've read she has Addisons Disease (no cortisol output).

26. Paula Abdul is addicted to prescription pain medications. She has had nerve pain for years, probably as a result of her boob job. I also heard she has a bad back, which can also be caused by breast augmentations. She has RSD. So since she has nerve pain and this can be very severe, she probably got hooked on pain meds. It's a sad situation because I also have this. Chronic pain is very hard to live with.

27. Pain is the favorite/only excuse of every single drug addict of pain killers. American Idol is employing an addict and turning a blind eye. I stopped watching Idol because I refuse to knowingly expose my kids to the antics of drugged up Paula.

28. I have said some mean things about Paula. I do like her and do like her show. I was a fan back in the late 80's early 90's. I do think she has problems though and I hope she can get well.
