She did have a fever. I can tell you the last few days of her life when she came here. She had a fever when they got here. Before they came, Howard was actually suffering from the flu. This is when her private nurse was with her, Howard was there in the room, to get her temperature back down. Her temperature went back down. They got her out of the ice bath. She was OK.
The next day, which would have been Wednesday, Anna was in the bathroom, she slipped, she fell. They heard something. They went to her and she was in her tub with no water, nothing else and they had asked her if she had fallen. And she seemed a little bit out of it. But they checked her for any bruising or contusions or swelling and there was nothing.

According to The Associated Press, Bonnie said that her brother told her that Smith was running a fever of 105 degrees and that a nurse was "icing her down" on the day of her death. "When he left her, she was sleeping," Bonnie said.

Question: Had Anna been lifted out of the bathtub dead (ie.dead weight), would not there have been post-mortem markings (pressure)? I could see her beginning to "go down the tubes" with the ice bath, being helped out, vomiting all over and then dying in the bed. She was naked with wet sheets and hair? Maybe bags of ice put around her?

perper's report could not have concluded suicide, because he would have incriminated the 3 stooges, big time !( hks, the owner of the CH, moe, the body guard/protector and ke, her psychiatrist/ physician) . That is why there is so much emphasis on "not on official duty" and "not getting paid". All the characters have emphasized Anna's depression since Daniel (includes attorneys, employer and friends), past suicidal statements and drug addiction. They even spoke of Anna needing the drugs in order to live and drinking CH from the bottle. I think they should be criminally charged for providing the med and leaving it within close proximity so that she could overdose whether intentional or not intentional She's d-e-a-d either way!

I feel sorry for Anna for poor choices, but more for the baby She was a beautiful woman with less than an 8th grade education as Stern himself put on her death certificate! How could any reasonable human being expect her to have understood the legal ramifications Stern led her into. She was functionally illeritate and $tern exploited that for control of all her money.

Daniel was going to have her ruled incompetent to handle her affairs or
