Criminal Probe Into Anna's Prescriptions

TMZ has learned the California Department of Justice (DOJ) is conducting a criminal investigation into several doctors who prescribed various medicines to Anna Nicole Smith.

Sources tell TMZ the DOJ's Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement has contacted Larry Birkhead, Big Mo (Anna's bodyguard) and others. We're told DOJ is particularly interested in two doctors -- Khristine Eroshevich and Sandeep Kapoor. TMZ broke the story that Dr. Kapoor prescribed methadone to Anna under an assumed name when she was eight months pregnant. Dr. Eroshevich ordered a virtual pharmacy of drugs for Anna, five days after her son Daniel died.

Dr. Eroshevich, who was in the Bahamas with Anna, sent the prescription wish list to Dr. Kapoor. Kapoor's attorney, Ellyn Garofalo, told TMZ "Dr. Kapoor declined the request for prescriptions. He would never prescribe that combination of drugs, in such large dosages, to any patient."

The Medical Board of California launched its own investigation of the two doctors earlier this year. That investigation is pending.

By the way, TMZ has learned Dr. Kapoor is in the process of having twins via a surrogate.

That was because she had been "on ice" for about 24 hours prior to "being discovered dead"...............That is very typical when a body has been iced and if Perper had not been so stupid or paid off, that would have been the first thing he would have thought about.

Faye , Laughing I believe is Michele Stern Gary Sterns wife for she knows so much and she really is such an embarrassment to that family .

Seems like a beautiful party planned for a princess. Larry and Howard have made so many arrangements for all media outlets to attend. Seems as though the shallow, WANNA BE celebrity Larry hasn't invited his mother, or Anna's mother, which means the baby has no natural blood kin there AT ALL, except for the said to be drunken Birkhead father. Judy is a step sister, and certainly the Sterns are nothing but a bunch of classless squatters. Oh, I am QUITE SURE Howard and Larry, two of the most despised people on the planet (mainly Howard) have tried to sell the baby to as many media outlets as possible, since they are filth of the first degree. You are the mean and nasty one, not the baby's grandmother Virgie, and you are a mindless, crazed human being.

Virgie Arthur will have her day, never fear, and perhaps we, the intelligent ones in this group who are the only ones with class, should write Dolly Parton and give her a clue as to the kind of people she would be entertaining and having to rub elbows with. Dolly is a down to earth person who doesn't really care for people who are prancing around celebrating regardless of this baby's heinously and suspiciously dead mother and brother, who the suspect has blocked the investigation of, and she would not approve of the criminally cruel treatment of the baby's grieving grandmother.
