Eva Longoria's female friends made out like French bandits at her Parisian wedding to San Antonio Spur Tony Parker yesterday.
Rather than a small token of her affection or a tacky tableside gift, Longoria gifted each of her female guests with a Van Cleef and Arpels Sweet Alhambra bracelet.
The 18k gold bracelets feature miniature mother-of-pearl clover charms, and won't even be available in the United States until October, but Eva was "desperate" to make sure that her nearest and dearest had theirs first.

Is anyone else tired of hearing about Eva Longoria? She's not the spectacular star that everyone makes her out to be. Her show was a hit the first season. Not so much now. And there is nothing more obnoxious than hearing about how much these celebrities spend on their weddings. (Except for maybe those Sweet 16 parties with those kids who would not be so popular if they did not have Daddy's money to spend.)

That bracelet is styled for a young girl.. for a woman it is tacky and the guest will probably give it to their nannies or maids with no regrets..
Eva is the Star Jones/Liza/Katie marrying this mr wrong; of this year with utter waste of money, publicity, self indugent flamboyant ceremonal nothingness for a profit. It's not private and special.. it's like she did a job, ya know?.. ugh.

Ok, ok, so she gave her friends jewelry. What irks me is using the word "gift" as a verb. It is a noun--the name of a person, place, or thing! The act of bestowing a present on a person is "giving." You know---I give; you give; he, she, or it gives. Eva didn't "gift" her friends, she "gave" them a "gift.'
