Eva Longoria "Sweetens" Deal for Friends

Eva Longoria's female friends made out like French bandits at her Parisian wedding to San Antonio Spur Tony Parker yesterday.

Rather than a small token of her affection or a tacky tableside gift, Longoria gifted each of her female guests with a Van Cleef and Arpels Sweet Alhambra bracelet.

The 18k gold bracelets feature miniature mother-of-pearl clover charms, and won't even be available in the United States until October, but Eva was "desperate" to make sure that her nearest and dearest had theirs first.

47. The pink mini dress she was wearing in the photo was not the one she wore to the civil ceremony. If you read any of the articles, she CHANGED into a pretty white dress for that ceremony. Look on people.com at their article and you will see a picture of her and Tony right after the civil ceremony. The pictures of her wedding dress for the church ceremony will not be released until the OK magazine issue comes out since they have exclusive rights. Also, I can't believe all the hateful comments about the bracelet and the wedding in general. Please... they can spend their money however they want. If you don't like it, don't read about it!

49. She's a celebrity that many people, both men and women, find attractive and newsworthy. What's the harm in hearing a little about a happy day in her life? As though there were never any times in your life when something good happened, that at least a few others weren't interested in hearing about it? For Pete's sake, if you don't want to hear celebrity news, don't click on it to read about it. And, if you feel the need to make crass, personal comments about someone you don't even know, perhaps you should keep them to yourself. It is a reflection on your idiocy, and I don't know why anyone would want to publicize that about themselves to the world.

52. Dear Be Nice Please:

These types aren't going to be nice. They're losers. They are mad that every time people see the two of them together, they will call Tony Fugly.

Let them complain. Let them make their dumb racial comments (that apply to them even more). Eva seems to be a nice person who obviously doesn't care what people think.

53. If you could hammer an ounce of gold into a fine wire , that wire would reach a mile in distance . Gold is only 99 percent pure as some molecules must exist in the spaces between the tight molecules of heavy gold . To put it simple , the next time Tony comes down the lane on the Pistons , they will hammer him into a fine wire that has little air .

56. Amusing. It use to be wedding guests traditionally gave the new couple presents. Now it seems most celebrities and the very wealthy are showering gifts onto their guests. So much love in the air. LOL.

I hear the wedding them talking to the guests before the wedding: "I'm so glad you're coming, it really shows us how much you care about us, and how would you like your presents given to you - wrapped or as is?"

57. The only thing worse than having to read about another celebrity wedding and their excesses is reading all the "hateful" responses from other readers. What has happened to manners and consideration? There is something very wrong with those who make such hateful comments about someone on their wedding day.

58. For the idiot who is calling Eva a midget: she is PETITE. She wears a size 0 - you know, your IQ. I know you don't know what petite is because I'm sure there are none of those women around you. Your woman hasn't shopped in the petite section of the mall since first grade. You would never stand a chance with Eva, so you just blow crap out of your rank mouth. Now, go away.

As for Kenny, go grab your first cousin for tonight's date and settle in for Larry the Cable Guy. You are an obvious redneck. Now, go away.

59. "What has happened to manners and consideration? " That's a good question Terry. Where are people's manners and considerations including wedding guests.

I like Eva Longoria. I don't anything about Tony Parker, except he's a professional athlete, and I wish them well, but I find it rather odd that celebrities like themselves are giving gifts to guests....and the guests seem to be taking them. It's not just this wedding, it's been showing up at a number of weddings. I've been to a number of weddings and I would not take gifts from the couple - the other way around.
