Miss New Jersey Blackmail Drama Continues

Beauty pageants can be a real bitch! Miss New Jersey Amy Polumbo's blackmail troubles continued yesterday when a second package containing a threatening letter -- and possible additional racy photos -- were sent to the Jersey beauty.

Polumbo's problems began several days ago when a mysterious blackmailer threatened to release around a dozen sexy shots of the pageant winner to the press -- if she failed to step down from her post. So far, Polumbo refuses to submit to the shakedown.

Police are in the process of questioning the runners-up to determine if the wannabe queens have anything to do with the crime. Polumbo's lawyer, Anthony Caruso, said that the Jersey tomato "doesn't think that any of the runners-up have anything to do with this," and that she is "deeply distressed that this blackmail scheme is affecting the lives of other contestants."

19. It has to be one of the other contestants or somebody connected to another contestant. But then again how would another contestant get photos of her? If they were really "racy" or inappropriate why not try to sell them to a magazine and make money off of it. The person doing this really wants to hurt this girl. I would start looking at her "close" friends or vengeful ex-boyfriends.

23. Without this the Miss America-Miss Whatever Your State would disappear. The Miss America pageant has even been dumped by the country music TV channel it was on most recently. Maybe the Food Channel will pick it up. Or Comedy Central.

Miss America desperately needs scandals like this simply to survive.

None of the news stories prove this is actually blackmail. There is no evidence that the alleged perp is seeking any personal benefit.

25. PEOPLE GET A LIFE!!! There are more important things in this world ,we need to focus on. That is our"TROOPS" in the Middle East who are fighting to protect our COUNTRY and our FREEDOM!! We always heard about the NEGATIVE things that happen over there and in AMERICA, never the POSTIVE things. We have other issues that we need to attend to. Keeping GODS name where it belongs, putting prayers back into our schools(not moment of silents). I can go on and on. Everyone has a skelton in there closet (I am not perfect person-"no nude pictures") No one is perfect except for our "HEAVENLY FATHER". Which there is only one GOD. May GOD BLESS You and AMERICA...

26. Golly, I think they need to start doing background checks on these contestants. If these girls would lead respectable lives, they wouldn't have anything to worry about. I'm betting that it's one of the contestants who lost. Who else would care? There's no ransom demands, so it sounds like the motive is vindication.
