The Reverend Al Sharpton and our very own Harvey Levin went head-to-head over RobohoGate.
TMZ used the word "Roboho" two weeks ago in a humorous fashion review to describe an outfit Beyonce wore in performance at the BET Awards. In a statement to TMZ, The Rev said the use of the word was racist and misogynistic. TMZ respectfully disagreed.

21. rev sharpton, nobody is saying you don't have a right to protest and to voice your concern. TMZ is giving you a forum to express those views, actually. they are not censoring your comments, not refusing to acknowledge the dispute, and not silencing your voice. i know plenty of women who are strong enough to hear a woman called a 'ho.' I think the issue here is that you, rev, are turning a comment about fashion, a celebrity, and an awards show into a comment about women, black women, etc. you are diminishing any actual effect this comment could have had on its recipient, the artist herself, by making it a comment about her sex, her race, her type. there is entrenched racism all over this country, and TMZ.com should certainly be your last worry if you really want to end it.

Personally I'd like about 10 more apologies for the things you've done recently. Anyone ever listen to his radio show? You should, the man is racist as they come!! I can't believe he has the nerve to even open his mouth and say some of the things he does. It's NEVER anything positive for ALL races, just his!

Also, I would vote for Obama if it were not for Al Sharpton always hanging at his side. Al is bad promo for Obama. And so is Jesse Jackson and all the other black leaders that are always yelling racist. I am sick of it.
