Nicole Runs for the Border, Joel Fluffs

With a court date tomorrow stemming from her DUI last December, Nicole "The Pillow" Richie did what any pregnant, emaciated, spoiled starlet would do -- flee the country! Oh, Canada!

Taking a cue from the Michael Jackson Children's School of Disguise, Nicole arrived in Calgary hiding behind a pillow with baby daddy-to-be, Good Charlotte's Joel Madden. Lifestyles of the rich and the famous! The unwed couple are up north because Joel's band has a show tonight at the Calgary Stampede -- an A-list rodeo! Apparently, times are not-so-good, Charlotte.

Nicole will be able to enjoy her time at the rodeo, because Wednesday's court date is a motions hearing -- for which she does not need to be present. So while Wrong Way Richie won't personally be attempting to get out of her DUI tomorrow, she'll still be knee-deep in bullsh**t!

20. I'd just like to comment on the FACT that the Calgary Stampede is, indeed THE GREATEST OUTDOOR SHOW ON EARTH. Well over 100,000 people a day, come to enjoy the festivities. To belittle it is to show your ignorance.

24. Nicole, put the pillow down already. In case you didn't know it, the Judge is not a happy camper with another trial delay for a motions hearing. That never makes judges happy. Why not just face the music - and not the music at the Calgary Stampede?

26. The Stampede sounds like something I would be interesting in seeing. I used to go to rodeos all the time including Cheyenne Frontier Days. It sounds like a blast.

27. The more I think about it, I think she is going to pull a Michael Jackson and be sick in the morning due to "the baby". There probably is no baby but she is using this so she has an excuse.

Don't they know that judges, lawyers, and folks in law enforcement read the entertainment blogs? This is how they know what these defendents are doing.

I can hear it now. Nicole's attorney telling the judge she was unable to attend court because she is pregnant and having distress due to the pregnancy. The judge then asks were she is in LA or Calgary? Busted again.

29. I think TMZ should look into what the Calgary Stampede is really all about.. yes indeed it is a series of Rodeo's but its a massive event, lot's of parties, drinking and even a mardi gras! I was raised on the east coast of Canada and most of my friends travel to Calgary in the summers JUST to work the Stampede because of how huge it is.
They have bands play every year so its no biggie that Good Charlotte is playing.
Everyone should go to Stampede.. its an expensive event however, worth EVERY penny.
