63. When we are asked to watch a TV news show SIMPLY because Katie Couric is a woman and divorced, one surely has sunken to the lowest depths of desperation. Couric & CBS honcho Les Moonves should undertake some critical self-examination and STOP blaming the American people for their own failure and inadequacy. For myself, I've never liked Couric, even when she was on the Today Show because of her too-evident political partisanship--notwithstanding her phony perkiness and gummy smile. I'll watch ANYONE but Couric.

64. If I were Sumner Redstone, owner of Viacom, who owns CBS, here's what I would do:

1) Fire Les Moonves. He's the one (led by Julie Chen) responsible for this disaster. He's also cost CBS a bundle, firing Howard Stern, and then Don Imus, and then Dan Rather without having any replacements ratings wise. No one could match their audiences in every case. He's the most culpable for all of this.

2) Fire Katie - fast.

3) Hire Lou Dobbs until you can find someone of his stature that can appeal to a younger audience, if he'll even have CBS News. I wouldn't. It's a step down, and the least credible of the major networks as far as influence and bullpen.

I wish I made the money these "honchos" make for all the screwing up they do. It's like they just throw something out there and see what sticks. Who ever thought to put Julie Chen on tv has got to be nuts. Talk about wooden! She is very cute but how did she get that far? Beats me.

And now that Meridith is rushing to the hospital with fears of heart attacks and stress issues, does that mean she is being ushered out and back to the View so that Princess Katie can return to Today? I'm just asking. I hope the honchos know that we don't take people back. Once you leave us, that's it Jack.

Ugh, I think my journalistic integrity just went into hiding at the thought of women rallying behind Katie Couric for any reason - especially because she's just skilled enough to put on some clothes and have people put on her makeup for her. As far as being perky, that's about the only thing that she's good at - she's a pathetic excuse for a journalist.

67. I don't get the vitriole about Katie Couric. Is there sme jealousy going on here? How ca women, of all people, sound like hey want a cat foot with the woman. Brian Willims ratings at NBC have lost more viewers than Katie Couric Couric's CBS nemisis Bob Schieffer is an old fart who spent his career climbing over juniror reporters, most of thmwomen. Who named him hero of the day? I just don't understand why so many women are being so mean about Ms. Couric.

69. why would we support a woman who makes $75 million? we should cry because she couldn't hold her own? i'm divorced and no one will cry if i can't handle a job and support my kids. katie should step aside, got take her dough and retire already.....she should have stayed where she was happy and not have run off to the golden dangling carrot - money got the better of her and now she has to deal with the consequences of her greedy actions. i just hope they don't kick meredith viera off the today show (since her ratings are not that great) just to take back that whiner. and watch it will happen and then they'll have promos for months - guess who's back? - katie's back ......i can see it now - she doesn't care who she has to knock over to get what she wants......go hit some more people katie because you can't pronounce "sputum".

PRIMA DONNA !!!

I couldn't Wait to see her out of NBC.

She is all about ME, Me, Me.

I'll never forget how Badly she treated the
"Green family".

I may have gotten the name wrong,
but it was about the sad story of the little American boy that went to visit Italy with his mother and father and
got shot at and Killed when they were driving on a highway there.

Katie was so COLD and Rude to the parents during the interview.

The parents of the little boy went back to Italy to place an American bell in memory of their son.

Katie kept on grilling them about not getting any donations from people for their cause or something to that effect (they never asked the public for any money).

She was also

EXTREMELY Rude to Elizabeth Dole when

she was running for President in the interviews.

Now Senator Elizabeth Dole was treated so Badly and not given hardly any time to say anything because Katie hates Republicans.

And boy did Katie ever go

Completely Overboard when it came to

Blacks.

As if her $$$ career depended on kissing up to them.

Funny how other ethnic groups including

Asians are not given a fraction of all the

Rights and TV air time as Blacks.

And in Katie's mind as well as the media in general, Blacks can do no wrong.

Katie has gotten by with being ARROGANT

All these years and gotten paid

Ridiculous sums of $$$ for Very little Talent.

I hope her Ratings continue to

Spiral DOWNWard.

The execs better Wake Up.

ANN CURRY, on the other hand, who is

Always Nice and DOWN to Earth should

take Meredith's place.

Ann Curry has always taken a back seat despite all the years she has been with NBC.

Meredith has Never been comfortable taking Couric's place.

She seems MUCH Happier on the Millionaire show. She doesn't need to be Greedy and have multiple jobs.

Ann Curry should not be discriminated just

because she is part Japanese.

About time Ann gets what she deserves!!!

74. There is without doubt, sexism going on at some of the networks and Katie's become a target. While she's not my favourite person, I thought that attitude by the "suits' upstairs, had died out.....apparently not.
