Miss New Jersey Exposes Blackmail Pics

Miss New Jersey revealed some of those supposedly salacious blackmail photos this morning, and while they're a little embarrassing, one thing's for sure -- she's no Katie Rees!

Amy Polumbo showed the country some of the most "revealing" pics on the "Today" show, and while one shows her boyfriend chomping on her (clothed) breast and another finds her (fully clothed) legs spread wide in a limo, the rest of them (that were released) were decidedly PG. She decided to make the pics public in advance of a meeting today with New Jersey pageant officials, who will determine the fate of her crown.

Meanwhile, three snaps that the New York Daily News "turned up" of Polumbo partying at Disneyland turned out not to be Amy, she told Matt Lauer. They're actually of a "good friend," said the beauty queen.

Update: Pageant officials have just announced that Amy Polumbo will not be stripped of her crown.

47. WHY IS IT NEWS? Now, it just underscores her lack of awareness or whatever. Why bother making a big deal out of stupid pictures?

1) Did she want extra press?, that would mean she was very intelligent and cunning. I do not go w/ that, so what could it be?
or
2) Was she totally unaware/clueless that dragging it on would bore everyone and make her look worse. As in totally oblivious that it was no big deal, & should just show the pics and move on.

48. Think she handled herself beautifully on The Today Show this morning & am glad she stood her ground re: being blackmailed. Hopefully the appropriate decision due will be made later today.

51. This is a big lesson everyone! Though the photos do seem harmless, and yeah embarrassing, it only goes to show if you don't want the world to see it don't take the pictures! I do wonder who the blackmailer is. Ex-friend now rival? Ex-boyfriend? The last two gals ( one got the second chance, one got canned.) did pix and actions far worse than this girl. Let her keep the crown!

53. thewy werent that bad, she was having fun with her friends, i think she is blowing this out of propertion. if she paid them no attention it wouldve went away. she made a bigger deal out of it then it was.

57. CLUELESS:
No big deal, could of shown the pictures at the onset and resolved it. She and her handlers wasted our time, and in the end, whether they meant to or not, got extra coverage for nothing.

Was that their goal? or was she Clueless that it was a non-issue? UGH/

Not impressed, she may talk a good game on TODAy etc but her intent is an issue/ or her self-awareness.

Yuck, whether she was aware or clueless, she made a non-issue news and sought extra notierity, that is not attractive but hey look at Paris.

It is now the mainstream to pump the press over nothing for extra publicity. Some do it without even knowing it, it is just second nature. (tiring and boring self promotion)

60. I love how the people blackmailing this girl claim to be the Committee to Save Miss America. What a joke. Like Blackmailers have such high morals. The pictures were not little miss innocent, but they weren't that bad either.
