The lawyer who defended Steven Seagal in a mob case is now under siege by the former action star for giving him the Debra Opri treatment -- by allegedly charging him somewhere over a million bucks! It takes a lot of bad acting in action movies to earn that kind of dough!
In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Seagal claims that he was billed at least $1,084,202 in fees and expenses by Loeb & Loeb, the legal team he hired for an extortion trial in 2002. In the suit, Seagal claims he happily paid several of the law firm's pricey bills until July of 2003, when he "had grown skeptical of defendant's experience, its representation and its billing practices." Steven says he then decided he was being "substantially overcharged," and that the firm still wants him to pay more than half a million clams.
Seagal is suing for at least $450,000 in damages. Calls to Loeb & Loeb were not immediately returned.

Steven Seagal is an idiot! He should learn to keep his hands to himself...one thing learned in martial arts...self discipline. (One must be more cautious of whom they fight... my opinion.) He is a fat sausage ready for the big fork to poke him!!! Say where??!!

I really enjoy reading trash comments from people with such small minds and such failures too and wonder how some people can write about Steven Seagal as they do since the man makes more money in a half hour than most of them will make in five or more years and some of them in their life time. I also like to think how little any of them have in comparison to him, money wise or any other way and he has more talent in his little finger than they in their whole body. He also can entertain more people in thirty minutes than those complaing bums will entertain in their lifetime. Just shows it's the lowely hurt dogs that bark first.

Their billing practices were bad, and it sounds like there should have been more detail in their bills. However, he did get immunity, which is EXTREMELY difficult to get. 500K is not unreasonable for that.

Segal has every right to contest this. What profession besides law professes individuals with ego's that think they deserve fee's ranging anywhere from $500-$2000.00 per hour plus expenses. Especially when you have lawyers and judges like the moron in DC who sued for 55 million because the Korean cleans lost his trousers.
