16. performing for gay audiences is hardly a new trend... anyone who thinks so has been living under a rock for a very long time. gay guys are the most appreciative and loyal fans any performer could hope to have and, historically, have supported the world's greatest talents.
this particular case, however, shows that gay guys can also have lousy taste just like everybody else.

18. You people are freaking out...who cares if she performs at clubs or bars? She shouldn't have to limit herself to venues. I think it's cool that she's being more exclusive with fans and being more open-minded.

19. Ok, this was the worst performance ever! She was 30 minutes late and then she had the nerve to lip-sync the songs right off her cd! She didn't even attempt to record a new version! Talk about pulling a "britney"!

20. Hello!This is Max Myaskovskiy, Hilary's stalker from last year. Anyway just stopped but to comment that Hilary is a very sweet, kind, and compassionate person even when it comes to tolerating and entertaining America's gayu, or homosexual, community. But off course, I am not gay at all and therefore, would still like to one day, finally meet her face to face, hook up with, and eventually marry her. 22. OK lets face it,Ryan is gay and very closeted. If your a str8 actting undectable homosexual Hollywood and America Love you I.E Sam Champian{GMA} TJ Knight grey's whatever. America can digest a masculine female Ellen,Rossie Odonnell,Robin Roberts(GMA) I would be bitter too if America embrassed a closted homosexual to a real str8 guy. America has a real problem with denial when it comes to readalbe detectable gaymen, If a Man has a lisp or limp wrist u will only see him on HGTV or some gossip show or the fasion comentary. You wont see that kind of homosexual on anything serious,like news anchores,weather forecasters,soap opera's,TV drama's. I consider them real homosexuals becasue when people tlak to them they think to themselves "oh he is gay and automatically have the sexual act implanted in their head.
The guy has the right to be bitter what that really says is he is it bothers him about how in denial americans are aobut gayness.. "be gay but dont act gay " the guy has every right to be bitter. As far as him joking about Aids that wasnt nice.. but its a cry for hurt. its misguided I know where the guy is comming from with the hurt. However Havey levin himself is gay and its typical that this story would be on the 1st page. He knows how the closeted gays like to stick together so this to me is a plow for him to defend Ryan and keep their little closet club intact. Boy u closeted gay men are soemthing else.. I think you guys are the worst homophobes.

24. I don't get why you americans make such a big deal over homophobia...... I'm a guy and I like Hilary Duff . In fact I've been to 3 of her concerts here in canada and She is a great artist, but you guys make such a big deal over one, ten minute performance in a gay bar. So who cares she was in a gay bar oh well thats a minor detail, but you make it look like it's a big deal. Gay people are fine if you don't bother them, here they're treated "EQUALLY" as the rest of us Canadians. And just as A side note. Personally I don't like the paparazzi, I read it, but I don't believe the stuff they write. In my honest opinion I think it's the paparazzi that drives these actors and singers to do what they do. I know it's off track from the article, but I needed to lash out because it's a minor detail blow out of proportion.

26. I think it's great Hilary sang at a gay club. There's nothing wrong with gay people and I commend her for that. She's still a good girl and I totally respect her!

28. I thinks shes amazing. I met her two years ago, when I was 14, on August 3rd I was so scared I didnt even say anything to her, and I forgot to give her the present I got her. I won to meet her through her fanclub where I made a tee shirt and it won, I got to brin 3 of my friends and we went to her concert after, shes put on a good show, I have my picture of me and her and my tickets and autograpdh framed on my wall now
