Actor/director/hater Mel Gibson, 51, was photographed in a bar in Nicoya, Costa Rica -- looking like he was having a swell time with the local chicas. Salud!

Mel has purchased a multi-million dollar mansion in C.R., and he was welcomed by President Oscar Arias. Mr. Gibson is said to be planning charitable contributions to the natives.

Gibson was arrested last July on suspicion of drunk driving and went on an anti-semitic tirade.

77. Leave the guy alone. Good for him having lots of moola for the mansion purchase and for having a major good time celebrating the occasion. And, let's drop the anti-Semitic past reference. Jews regularly make anti-Semitic slurs and comments against Arabs (who are also Semites) and not too many seem to be against those hateful tirades. Enough, already!

Wow, are you over the top. First of all, none of my friends, neighbors, or family come out with racist remarks. Period. As for being a "Paris hater," that's another one of your misconceptions. The few comments I've posted on TMZ speak to the fact that many of us do not approve of her touting herself as a role model for teenagers. And "free speeach" will enable me to go right on saying it.

Of course racism is a world problem...we don't need a sociology lesson from you to point that out. TMZ is a gossip column -- not the court of world opinion. You're not the only one who is aware of world-wide discrimination and racism, and the degree to which it exists. Your assumptions are wildly off base here, and fail to prove a point.
