Maybe she wolfed down some bad sashimi, or perhaps blinding flashbulbs finally got to her, but Britney Spears definitely looked frustrated as she left Shu Sushi in Bel Air yesterday. Wait -- was she crying?
After taking a deep breath and pulling herself together, Spears immediately went from dreary to cheery -- smiling and waving to paps as she navigated her black Mercedes through a sea of shutterbugs. What a pro!
While tears didn't actually appear on Spears' face, we're told she unleashed the waterworks inside the restaurant -- and this wasn't the first time we've heard stories of Britney bawling in public. We heard that over the weekend, Brit was sobbing in between club-hopping. What's eating her?

I have never been a fan of hers and never will be. I think she's just another washed up kid star who finds that the older she gets, the less appealing and less wanted she is by the public. However, with that being said, the media needs to back off. IF she has some sort of mental issue, she needs help not cameras in her face. IF she's just an attention whore, stop photographing her and let her get attention by doing something we actually might care about. Her grabbing fourth meal at Taco Bell (try the Border Bowls Brit) and being sad in her car is hardly newsworthy..her shiney head going ballistic with an umbrella and a car..now that's something!

I like to poke fun from time to time too, but this is just stupid - did anyone actually watch the video? What the hell is TMZ talking about? They are losing credibility when it comes to Britney in my book - seems you guys are just digging and twisting every little thing - she may be a bit of a trainwreck here and there, but when you start making s*&t up or putting emphasis on things that don't even matter (or exists), it just gets old... watch the video and judge for yourself... it's just odd to me now....

#37, i was diagnosed with bipolar almost 12 years ago and you are right, she is displaying all the classic signs. If her mania goes untreated and it can last for days or weeks or months, then the following depression is unavoidable. she is fortunate in that the spending sprees that she is going on she can afford, however untreated bipolar disorder can wreak havoc on the family unit, ESPECIALLY if her family is pushing her to seek treatment and diagnosis, she will fight them tooth and nail to avoid that.
she can get treatment and take mood stabilizers, anticonvulsants and antidepressants and they will work wonders for her, however that being said, she has to admit that she has a problem, seek help, and stay on the prescribed regimen. the drug treatment is tough, b/c the drugs tend to increase weight gain and affect thyroid functioning and are INCOMPATIBLE with alcohol consumption.
she needs to seek out a psychiatrist and have that psychatrist talk independently with her exhusband, mother, and manager to get a background history and at least thoroughly examine her to determine if she is suffering from BP disorder.

I think Brit is in desperate need of a time-out away from the pressures of the paparazzi and out of the spotlight of the paparazzi mobs who dog her every move. For the sake of her mental health and for the sake of her children, I think she should get the heck out of The Zone, at least as far up the coast as Santa Barbara or any place a little more out of the spotlight of the multitude of paparazzi.
And I think it is cruel to criticize Brit for not spending more time with her children because the only time she is able to spend with the kids in safety is when she is within the confines of her house in Malibu. It is just too dangerous and too scary for the kids for Brit to take the children out, out for a morning or afternoon meal and shopping, or out to an amusement or adventure park, an afternoon children's matinee or a romp at the zoo or a walk along the nature trails. It is too dangerous and too scary for the kids in the crowd and crush of paparazzi and fans. Brit has to go out without the kids to draw away the paparazzi so the children's nanny can take them out while the paparazzi and fans who stake out Britney follow her away from home.
I hope Brit will be looking for a more ideal environment to raise her kids, and for the sake of her own mental health. And I hope she will begin to pause a moment to strap herself in and buckle up when she drives. Britney has a very bad habit of cruising without that belt across her upper torso.

#52, you are exactly right. Unfortunately, most people have to hit rock bottom before they seek help. And Brit is close to that now. That is why her Mom is taking Kevin's side. Not because she likes Kevin but because you cant trust small children in the care of someone who is bipolar and not on the proper meds. Just a recipe for disaster.
I just hope she gets the proper help before she hits her depression cycle. Becase that can bring suicidal tendencies.
Im glad you got the proper help. Plenty of celebs are known bipolars and lead close to normal lives, if they take the proper meds. Terry Bradshaw is one.
Like I said, not saying she is bipolar. She just shows all the signs.
