Benoit's Son Was Sedated When He Was Killed

61. It is sad that TMZ is exploiting the victims... It hurts the families.. The same way the world trade center victims families were hurt over and over again..by the media...
Children of these victims were traumitized by the events and media reportings..
Chris Benoit, has a family and so does his wife..
There should be some laws against this in the US.
If someone dies in a family the family has a right to mourn them.. That doesn't give every media outlet a right to post pictures with all kinds of headings to describe the victims...
Whether, his father murder him or not.. This is a family issue.. Not a TMZ issue.

62. Wrestling is a horrible Adult Themed Soap Opera. This crap plays 6-7 days a week for free on the major networks and cable networks. These steroid freaks toss each other around and act like they are really fighting. They surround this with hot woman and stupid story lines just like day time soap operas. Nobody needs steroids unless they are healing from a serious injury. Steroids are ILLEGAL for a reason. The Mexican Mullet wrastler also died from STEROIDS. All these guys will die very young. It is the price they pay for taking Steroids. That is why they are illegal and banned in almost all sports. REMEMBER Wrastling IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE A SPORT. These people are professional entertainers and unfortunately they believe the illegal use of steroids will enhance they performance and their paychecks. Unfortunately it does both, but is the cost worth it? Did Daniel and his mom have to die...no. Arrest and charge every wrestler/bodybuilder who is on steroids and do the same for the doctors who prescribed to them. We have all seen these FREAKS on the streets and they are all SCARY.

68. I am thoroughly shocked at a lot of these comments people are leaving. The most legitimate thing I have heard a few say is how the media shouldn't be throwing out these pictures like candy... the families of those related to benoit, his wife, and the little boy are already dealing with so much after these deaths. The criticism and the judgemental remarks some have made on this is exactly what they don't need. Everyone can have their opinions but let their extended family mourn in peace... who knows what went wrong. Benoit could have very well done it out of rage, jealousy, mental illness... there are numerous reasons why people become irrational. However, have some decency and some respect... those jurors and family from the Scott Peterson trial are forever haunted by this one tragedy because of how blown up the media made it. Thank god Benoit is not still alive... this would have been another Scott Peterson trial all over again except worse because of his entertainer status. The best thing you can do is to stay out of this. All of you never knew the man nor his family so passing judgement by saying "the little boy is ugly" or "may he rot in hell" are all statements that are based upon your stereotypes and/or quick judgements. The only people I want to hear from are his doctors, his extended family, and people close to him in his life and IF AND ONLY IF they want to speak out through the media.

72. After reading all the comments I have to say I agree with No.'s 29 and 45 completely.
Who knows how tortured his mind was before and after the killings.
Where was his family before this happened? Mental illness of this nature does not come about overnight, there definitly had to have been warning signs, there had !

73. It is so sad with what is going on with our society these days. More and more parents are killing their children and I just do not understand how these things can even happen. Obviously drugs were involved here and it is just so sad to me that some physicians are handing out scripts like there is nothing wrong with it but in the end, the drugs are making people "snap". I am NOT an advocate of Tom Cruise and his stance on drugs like Xanex, but I believe there are far too many people on these meds that should NOT be. While Benoit obviously medicated his child with Xanex, the question is this: WHOS PRESCRIPTION WAS THE XANEX FOR??? Is this yet ANOTHER script this bozo doctor gave Benoit? That poor little boy. I feel so horrible that he had to face such a monster of a father You can only hope that Benoit rots in hell for this. What a tragedy.

Lynn you said, "clearly he wasn't in his right mind to do what he did to his family". Maybe you're right...or maybe not. Scott Petearson was in his "right mind" when he killed his wife and his unborn child. Also Sympson and so many other men who brutalize their wife and killed their own children. We'll never know what really happened in that house, that night. One thing disturb me and is the fact that she was tied down-feets and arms. That is kind of cruel and is not a crime of passion but extreme cruelty, don't you think? In the other hand, the fact that he drugged his child, so the child will not suffered and then killed himself, make me think that he was remorse. This is a horrible tragedy.

Only God knows. And he will judge accordingly.
