Nicole Richie, This Is Your Life!

An inmate at the Lackawanna County prison in Pennsylvania gave birth in her cell last week. It's a little like looking into a crystal ball for Nicole Richie!

Shakira Staten gave birth to a baby girl on July 10, the day before her 22nd birthday, according to the Times-Tribune. The paper goes on to say that a female guard cut the umbilical cord with her fingernails. Now that's what we call hard labor!

Nicole's DUI case, which originally scheduled for July 11, is now set to begin on August 16. She faces a minimum of five days in prison if convicted.

31. post #6 what she did was a crime, she could have killed herself or even worse an innocent driver (someone that matters). She should go to jail just like anyone else that has done something like that.

34. do you know how difficult it is to cut an umbilical cord with the scissors they provide!!! i highly doubt you can do it with fingernails!

35. Okay TMZ, Here is a lesson for ya, It is not called prison, it is jail, there is a huge difference, do your research. Mixing up jail and prison is like mixing up Carrot Top and Brad Pitt, there is a big difference, plus, no one delivers in jail, they get sent to a hospital for proper care, it is in the constitution. Stop being so factless and nieve.

40. i live 20 minuntes away from lackawanna county... for all you people that say the story isnt true it is... its been in all the newspapers in the area... i didnt hear about the umbilical thing though.

41. First, If she's pregnant she should not be drinking!!!!!

Second , she was drinking and driving, she should be in jail and why should anyone feel sorry for her.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
